After a yearlong hiatus, THE PURPLE SQUIRREL CHARITY IS BACK!

The only thing you've ever gotten from a squirrel is nuts right? And if you got there attention, they were probably aimed at your head. Well welcome to the Purple Squirrel Charity! Here you'll get more than a few measly acorns. We live to support the quest and the charity alike. Bored? We try to hold contests and event regularly! Since Spring 2006 the Purple Squirrel has been helping questers from every walk of life. With the help of it's supporters and the co-owners Kandied Rose and The Apple of His Eye, it's become, well, bigger than it used to be. You don't need to be a veteran to get gold. Nor do you need any special talents. All we ask is you say please and thank you (and of course follow our rules and forms). Then the squirrels will get to salvaging.

Getting a donation at The Purple Squirrel Charity is very easy (and I mean very easy). We do not require any particular amount of posts, we will not count on your join date (though we're nitpicky about brand new accounts as a mule precaution), and we will not look at how much you have, whether you have a quest thread, or anything like that. As long as you fill out this form correctly, and be nice when you ask, you'll get a donation. No hands down, no strings attatched, no down payments until 2011.
(Note from Rose: PMing your forms will not put you at the front of the line for donations. If anything, it will make it so you won't get a donation. Just don't PM the forms.)

Getting a charity donation is TWICE as easy. All we ask is that you be nice! We're suckers for the niceness. We're very nitpicky on fake charities though. If we suspect your charity is fake and you're just trying to get extra donations, you'll be blacklisted.
(Note from Rose: You must have a link to the charity to get a donation. This is to insure that no fake charities are submitted. If the charity has not been active for at least a week or so, the Purple Squirrel Charity will assume that you are using the charity to get a donation. Also, if the charity was made just a few days ago, Rose will check up on it after a while to make sure it is being used. She promises that.)

Just for the Record... I will not give if you beg, I do not have a lot of gold, I will not catch butterflies with you in a forgotten swamp at below ninety degree weather in the pour rain with a net made of candy wrappers and duct tape. SO STOP ASKING.
About: The Apple of His Eye, previously known as Fluffy Acid Teddy, previously known as The Donator, the co-creator of TPSC. Her three greatest obsessions are psychology, chocolate and squirrels (don't ask how those three somehow tie into each other). She's a procrastinator. She loves to sing and to write and she is currently working on a novel. She works at KFC and spends her free time (all of it) on the Internet or playing DDR. She is fascinated with other cultures and has started studying them with a lot of her internet time doing research (instead of homework). She is currently attending community college and is considered one of the political nuts on campus.

When to Contact: Apple is at school four days a week and works on Friday. And when she's at school, SHE'S AT SCHOOl. She typically comes home by around 8 PM. Work ends around 3 PM. Saturdays are completely free however. Sundays are church day.

Likes: Rose likes to procrastinate on things so if you know that Rose is suppose to be doing something and is wasting time on the computer, Send her a PM and tell her to get to work. x.o She needs reminders like that. She also likes sweets and gum. Gum keeps her awake and it occupies her time. She always need to chew on something. She loves to draw and can be found in her art shop or the art freebie forum.
About: Rose was born on Janurary 25, is the co-owner of the Purple Squirrel Charity and was known as the Seceretary. Her favorite color has to be any shade of blue and any shade of purple. She is open to any PMs so long as they aren't mainly for begging. She is very talkative on Gaia. Veerry contradictory to how she is in real life.

: Ten Simple Steps to Questing :

Questing isn't very easy but can turn into a fun project. But how does one go about making a quest thread that really stands out? There are ten easy to follow steps that can help you earn gold and reach your quest faster. This list may be copied and pasted wherever you like. Just make sure it links back to us. The Ten Simple Steps are as follows.

1] Research and Tools - Get to know the prices and the price changes of your item. Gaia economy is extremely fickle, so prices of items fluxuate and inflate like mad. TekTek.org is the best source for pricing since they come complete with graphs. TekTek also provides questing bars which are good to use and keep track of progress. Once you know exactly what price the item is generally, you can start officially questing.

2] The Quest Thread - The Charity Forum is home to hundreds of quest threads. Creating a thread brings in donators and supporters. Try to make it flashy, give it a creative name, make banners. It's simple and easy and for some is the funnest part of questing.

3] The Charity Threads - Once you finish making your quest thread, charity threads are your next stop. Make sure you advertise your quest in as many charities that apply to you. Most charities won't say no if you fit their requirements.

4] Bumping - The Chatterbox is your friend. If you find yourself caught with nothing to do, you can go here and bump or post about anything. You get gold for every post and poll you do.

5] Contests - Contests are another fun way to go. If you're a writer or an artist, you can go to the Art Forum. If you're not, it's a little harder to find, but there are contests out there that are for everyone. Guilds often host contests like this too. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST CONTESTS THAT CHARGE AND LOTTOS. Many of these contests/lottos are scams. I don't suggest risking your gold, especially if you're close to your goal.

6] Jobs - Even if you think you don't have a talent, Gaians will hire for almost anything. If you can draw, make a freebies board to get some rep and then start selling. If you're a writer, create a board offering to write stories and intros for shops and charities. If you get desperate, sell your posting services or advertising services. The limits are endless.

7] Games - Fishing, bug catching and casinos can be lucrative as well. I suggest you do mostly fishing since it costs the least and people buy more fish than tickets (since fish produce items that are harder to get).

8] Arenas - The housing arena and the avatar arena are always open. Don't just enter these and waste 1k though. I suggest you get as many opinions as you can and if enough people like it, then you might enter. This is mostly something you do for fun.

9] Shops and Daily Chance - ALWAYS do the Daily Chance. Every penny adds up you know. Also, never open a gift box you find. Sell it in the marketplace because chances are, you'll get more profit. Luck is a factor in questing.

10] The Best Deal - Once you have the maxium, make your way to the Exchange before anything. People barter off items all the time. Try to find your quest and then haggle for the lowest price so you can get the best deal. If no one there sells it, go to the Marketplace and try Bidding on items first. NEVER GO ABOVE THE LOWEST MP PRICE. If that still doesn't work, just go on and buy it, but only as a last resort.

I hope these ten steps help you to reach your quest faster than you ever thought you could. Have fun!
