Twins. Yin and Yang. A brother and a sister. Opposites who somehow got along quite fine.
Risa and Rio lived their lives like regular children. They went to school, they played sports, they dated, they were content with this simple life style. Yet, this normality would soon cease. One day when the sky turned purple everything changed. Time froze and they found themselves immune to it. They searched everywhere for someone who time had not frozen. Then they stumbled upon a mirror. On inspecting it, they fell into the mirror and were soon lead to a land of unbelievable wonders. Though, not soon after entering this land, they were separated.
All around the world that Risa and Rio had originated, many others had fallen through a mirror turned portal similar to the one the twins encountered. You are one of them. Together, you and the other foreign travellers in this mirror world will journey throughout this world, searching for answers and finding the way home. Something that won't be so easily found.

The world that our characters originated from is just like modern Earth. A parallel universe in a world named Gaea. In the world that we find ourselves in after entering the other side of the mirror is a realm that remarkably resembles one of the feudal ages of many cultures varying from Medieval Europe to Feudal Japan. It is a fantasy realm, full of hopes, dreams, and nightmares come to life. We hope to find your own creativity and imagination added into the setting of the world we are about to enter.

Appearance: Picture and/or description, no 'avi' or 'siggy.' Note that once they enter into the new realm, their appearances and whatnots might possibly change. It's really up to you and alot of what can be put here could be typed in your future posts.
Weapons/Magic/Skills: Weapons, I'm only accepting about 3-4. Daggers/Shuriken or a group of small weapons are considered as one whole weapon. Magic, 3 max. Please don't bother with anything too over powerful. Note that your character will have to develop their magic skills. There are exceptions, but I'll be explaining this when the time comes or you pm me and ask me ^^ Skills is just like cooking, agility, reading, writing, learning, etc etc. Anything worth notifying about your character that will be quite useful. Make sure you don't go over board.
Personality: Well what's your character like? Emotional? Happy? Distant? Etc?
History:Give something brief, I'm not expecting indepth, but it'd be nice. Around 3-5 sentences would be good for the minimum. Paragraph or more is your choice.

Character Guidelines:
Note: These are just simple guidelines to the characters. The gender and ages listed that specifically requires a certain age or gender is to be used when making your profile. The magic and other small descriptions added that isn't specifically required in the guide are just suggestions. Feel free to add more if you'd like, or if you don't like what is require please pm me, question, and explain to me what you'd like instead and why. Also, just so you know. Everyone except the guardians originated from Gaea [the modern earth like paralell universe] and once they enter the new world, they personify the titles given. [Although, there are FEW exceptions] For example, Tanya Nanba is from Gaea [world people original from], but once she enters through the other side of the mirror she personifies the Nymph, but still is her own person. These are just spiffy names and whatnots. We're still normal people from a normal world suddenly transported into a new world. Just we play the role such as Nymph or Alchemist or Grey in this world. Just a label.
Illumination

The Illumination has made himself known as Rio.
The Illumination is the first born male twin. He is the age of sixteen. He'll be fighting against the gods themselves, illuminating a pathway for humans to rule the earth. Yet, in doing so, he inevitably loses his yin. He is Twilight's Yang. He is the Champion of the Tyrants.

Age: 16
Appearance: Long brown hair that covers his eyes. His eyes are a light shade of brown. He has a big complextion and stand about 5'6'' althought he seems big and bulky, his movements are fluid. In the new realm he wears a blue short sleeve shirt with a black long sleeve shirt underneath, on the back of a blue shirt there is a symbol that lookes like two wings, he wears grey pants and black boots and a silver locket around his neck that was supposedly given to them by their mother.
Weapons/Magic/Skills: Gauntlets of Illumination
Personality: Kind and easy going. Likes to help people and doesnt think twice about helping himself but when he does he feels greedy and selfish. He doesnt get angry alot because he doesnt like to, he hates everything about it. When he was little and he got really angery he saw himself as a beast and once he saw that it would calm him down. Rio cares for almost everyone he comes in contact with and would do his best to help them out with their problems, but the only exception would be that his sister comes first.
History: Rio grew up with his twin sister Risa and their father, though many of their early childhood memories seem fuzzy, he likes to think about the world now and how he is making memories one small step at a time. His sister does do alot of the work around the house and he does his best to help but most of the times he ends up making matters worse.

The Twilight has made herself known as Risa.
The Twilight is Illumination's counter and his twin sister. She is also the age of sixteen and will be fighting for the gods so that humanity will not continue with it's foolishness. She is Illumination's Yin. She is the Champions of the Zealots.
Full Name: Arisa "Risa" Diase
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Appearance: Risa has somewhat short choppy brown hair that has a dark red sheen to them. Her eyes are a honey brown while she has a light complexion. She stands about 5"5 and has a slender figure. She looks graceful, but can be deemed as a total klutz at times. In the new realm, she has an interesting attire that consists of light beige capris, red soft boots with gold trimming, a long red dress [silver trimmed] with slits on the sides over the capris and a light beige shirt with flaring sleeves, and some kind of light jacket matching her dress over it, though it is cut short. [Refer to the picture]
Weapons/Magic/Skills: She also finds herself to have the abilities to heal and purify anything tainted. She is able to manipulate light, heat, and energy to the extent that she could create illusions. Yet, what the Zealots find most unique and gifted of all is her ability to paint, draw, or whatnots, and will it to life. Of course, she has no skill whatsoever to wield any of her magic. Risa's future weapon will be a scythe with intricate designs [refer to picture] to it that is for more show than use. She actually has a few daggers hidden upon her form and a short sword. Nothing really special. Her skills are: singing, dancing, jumping, climbing, eating, cooking, writing, languages, and painting.
Personality: Risa is a very rambunctious girl. She's loud, sometimes obnoxious, and quite prideful. She's stubborn to no extent and craves for fun and adventure. She never let's anything get her down unless it's something quite hurtful. She's overall friendly, kind, loving, and somewhat of a tomboy -but that doesn't matter. She actually has a weak immune system and body, but her personality proves to the world of how emotionally stable she is and strong. Of course, she gets angered quite easily, but with the convincings of certain family members or friends, she's sure to come back to her sweet self. She does, however, hold grudges for a fairly long time and could be deemed naive. She's somewhat immature, but that's mainly because she's just like a little kid.
History: Risa lives with her brother and father in an adequately sized apartment. She's pretty much taken on the jobs of cooking, paying the bills, and other such house duties except for cleaning. When it comes to cleaning, she's a total procrastinator and will force her father or brother to clean. She loves her brother dearly and considers him one of her bestfriends ever next to Rikku, who is her childhood friend. Risa has lived a fairly normal life to the best that she could muster.

The Grey is always inbetween, never black or white. She/He knows, but doesn't know. Obviously, Grey will never pick a side. She/He is between the ages of 10 - 40. Any gender is fine and the abilities to see in the future, past, or present is found within the Grey. She/he knows the truth, but loves to be the observer and watch the foolish mistakes of all.

Personality: Always has a serious glare in his eyes. He never bothers to abide in situations unless it benefits him. A pessimistic viewpoint he discourages those around him and keeps a pompous attitude in a fight.

The Alchemist has made himself known as Acer.
The Alchemist is the explorer. It is required that he be male and between the ages of 15 - 30. He is awfully clever and intelligent, too much for his own good. He will be siding with the Tyrants as the Zealots seem to suppress his needs to experiment, explore, discover, and question.

Age: 15
Appearance: The alchemist is garbed in a long black cloak with many pockets holding the many different chemicals and materials he uses in his alchemy. He is taller than most people his age and is slim.
Weapons/Magic/Skills: Daggers made explosive threw alchemy. Healing abilities through herbs. Transmutation. Learning.
Personality: Normally a friendly character, however he sometimes becomes to engrossed in his alchemy studies and experiments he forgets about life...and sometimes lacks common sense. He shows an incredible ability for learning, but is sometimes afraid to take chances of what he doesn't know yet.
History: His parents disapproved of his alchemy, but he always continued his studies in secret. However one day an experiment gone caused him to fall out of time and to enter the mirror.

Nymph

The Nymph has made herself known as Cybele.
The Nymph is a woman of many worlds. She is required to be female and it is evident that the powers of nature are within her. She is a minx, though a clever minx. The ranges between the age of 16 - 25. She will side with the Tyrants.
Full Name: Cybele Raen
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Weapons/Magic/Skills: Her only weapon is a bow and arrow. An odd skill Cybele has is her ability to find her way from anywhere she is as long as she has seen it on a map, she will know the way.
Personality: Cybele is usually quite the emotional girl. Her moods fluctuate without any warning, and without much reason either. She tries to hide it most of the time, putting on a happy face, or a less-than miserable face at least. Since she knows what the human mind can do (with hers being everywhere) she loves to ‘experiment’, but most people call it manipulating.
History: Cybele grew up as a.....somewhat normal girl. She went to a decent high school, although she had only a few close friends it was still a good time for her. And now, being 18 (actually, turning 18 in a few weeks, but she likes to speed up time) Cybele was about to graduate from high school.

Enchantress

The Enchantress has made herself known as Rikku.
The Enchanter/Enchantress is full of mysteries. He/She is powerful in many magics and has the knowledge of many. He/She is between the ages of 16 - 21. He/She will side with the Zealots as Twilight is his/her best friend and the gods are the ones who have bestowed such power upon him/her.
Full Name: Rikku Takahashi
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Appearance: Rikku has long, straight, jet-black hair that often covers part of her face. She has light pale skin, and a slim, slightly tall physique. She wears dark colors most of the time, and sometimes a bit of white, but never any overly-bold colors.
Weapons/Magic/Skills: Mostly magic and spells, but also uses katanas and knives.
Personality: Pretty serious most of the time, but once she begins to trust people, she starts to open up to them and begins slightly more talkative. She hates those who act without thinking, and respects those who have reasons for their actions. Although Rikku is quiet, inside, she's a generous, thoughtful person.
History: She was considered the genius of her school and was always reading or studying to learn more about everything. She took Aikidov classes after school a few times a week, which seemed to shock most people. She didn't have too many friends other than Risa, who was her friend since childhood. The saying "opposites attract" really applied in their situation, since Risa's outgoing personality, brought out Rikku's talkative side when they hung out with each other. She lived with her parents and her sister who she got along with quite well.

The Slayer has made him/herself known as Zaine.
The Slayer is the strongest, swiftest, and most skilled with weapons. He is uncontrollable. He is required to be male and ranging between the ages of 16-21. He will fight for the gods, as he has no other choice in the matter.
Full Name: Zaine Sharpe
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Weapons/Magic/Skills: His weapons consist only of a steel claymore, and a large steel scythe. He has a powerful knowledge of Illusion magic though he is still building his skill with Elemental magics. Zaine's skills consist of a mastery with bladed weapons and hand-to-hand combat, sharp visual acuity, and enhanced agility and reaction time.
Personality: Malevolent, cunning and vengeful. He has become desensitized, and then re-sensitized to death; meaning that he stopped caring about it, and then began taking it as entertainment. He takes advantage of any help he is given, and is extremely confident in his own abilities. Zaine also greatly enjoys toying with peoples' emotions, especially with the help of his Illusion magics.
History: To be revealed as the story progresses.

The Guardians
Note: I know everything is so brief in this roleplay, but that was done purposely so that everyone can add their input and whatnots to this roleplay without seemingly too restrictive. Yet, if you are a guardian, you would be originating in the world on the other side of the mirror -the world the characters above have entered. It'd be wonderful if you applied and I will tell you everything you'd need to know and whatnots. Since I and Kestui have plans on what will be happening once the characters enter the world.
The Dreamer

The Dreamer has made himself known as Rem.
The Dreamer has always existed. He/She is an angel of dreams. A creator, a destroyer, and a protector. He/She destroys Nightmares and lives through and in dreams. Without Dreams, he/she will fade away and perish. The Dreamer can be of any gender and his/her appearance age ranges between 17 - 30. He/She is Twilight's Guardian as she is and holds the Dreams of the Zealots.
Full Name: Remy "Rem"
Gender: Male
Appearance Age: 18
Appearance: Rem has messy long pitch black hair. He has indifferent green blue eyes while his pupils appear more like a slit -similar to a cats. His black armor is designed to resemble wings while he actually has his own black wings that appear almost metallic. He has a lanky figure, and reaches up a little past 6 feet.
Weapons/Magic/Skills: The only weapon he needs is his long slender yet sharp and sturdy sword. It is intricately designed and made of a stone only found in a certain realm where all dreams originate from. It is an unbreakable stone. Well, it can only be broken once all dreams cease as it is made of dreams. In the dreamworld, he is master there. Nothing except a select few gifted dreamers or Nightmares can really disobey what he wills. Though, Rem doesn't really bother with controlling anything. His skills involve agility, various forms of offensive and defensive attacks, contemplating, and judging.
Personality: Rem appears to be a very cold hearted, indifferent man. He's fiercely loyal, although too serious at times. He's very blunt, brutally blunt in fact. He's a very gentle person, though, just aloof. Kind and compassionate, he just shows it in less direct ways. He is considered quite intense, and when he chooses to speak it's something he considers important enough.
History: Rem is the Dreamer. He has roamed through reality and dreams for as long as he can remember. He's been known as the 'Angel of the Night,' since he is the protector of dreams and a slayer of Nightmares. He has been assigned the duty of protecting the Zealot's dream, Twilight, and since she is and holds the dreams of the Zealots -he must abide and protect her no matter what.
Alliance: Zealots
Other: Rem has a Spirit Guardian by the name of Kiba who is a large white wolf. The Spirit Guardian is very wise and has great knowledge of many things and has a few abilities of his own.
The Realist

The Realist has made her/himself known as Akia.
The Realist has always existed along with the Dreamer. She/He is Reality's protectress/protector. The Realist can be of any gender and her/his appearance age ranges from 17 - 30. She/he is the Illumination's guardian because he is the key that will unlock the Tyrant's Reality unto the world.

Gender: Female
Appearance Age: 17
Appearance: Akia has semi-long dark brown hair that reaches the middle of her back. Her eyes are a startling bright green, which show a lot of emotion at times. Her eyes have no pupils in them, which is kind of odd for a normal person. She is usually caught wearing a light pink tank top with a high black collar, and outline at the bottom, and a comfortable, baggy pants. She is only 5'5", and very slim.
Weapons/Magic/Skills: She is most comfortable using a long, metal staff, with blades that appear near the top and end of the staff. A bright green jewel appears at the top, with white gold encasing it. She also has some magic, but it's very little, since she is the realist and focuses on the real things in life. The magic is a mix of psychic and light. Basically, she can teleport, and levitate things as well as light up a room for a short peirod of time in intervals, and make harmless orbs.
Personality: Being the opposite of the Dreamer, you can see Akia's personally clearly, since she always shows it. She is loyal as anyone can be, and it shows. She is usually full of energy and always jumping around. She can get really annoying too. But when all of that engery settles, she is calm and seems like you can actually get close to her with out getting smacked upside the head.
History: Akia is the Realist. She is usually in reality, blending in with the humans, and expericing how they live. She dreams, but it is usually only about reality and her tasks ahead. She doesn't believe in love, yet, and usually thinks the pitiful dreams of humans are pointless, since it takes hard-work to get what you want in life, which is how she lives. She now protects Illumination and strives to see his goals reached the way they were meant to be.
Alliance: Tyrants
Other: She has no special bond with an animal, since she doesn't believe in that, but she has a companion animal, who is a black horse named Raven.

The Seventh of October
We've finally gotten our Slayer ^^ We're still searching for a Nymph, Enchanter/Enchantress, and Realist, though. Also, it'd be nice to have some banners? But meh, I can always start working on that later.
Surprisingly, we've got no females willing to join so far. Ah wells, let's just hope they come and join soon, since there are two female roles and one possible male or female role.
The Eighth of October
We've found our Enchantress and she has posted! Now to find our Nymph and Realist. Hopefully you've read through the most recent posts in the actual roleplay and also the OOC as some questions are answered and many things are clarified.
