Introduction.....

Hello! My name is Winter panda, and I am currently recruiting mods for my brand new charity guild: The Panda and Mink Charity Jamboree.

We're on the lookout for people who like to help other people, donate to other people, and just simply like being nice and friendly. 3nodding

I must add that the guild is NOT open as of yet. The official grand opening will be October 31st. Even though you can't post or do anything in the guild yet, you can still look around and decide for yourself if you're fit to be a mod in this guild. If you don't want to be a mod, you can still be a member! This link explains how and also gives further information about the guild: click!

The link in my signature is the same as the one above (linking to the guild's thread) in case you were wondering. smile
Details.....

Okay, there are five different kinds of mods in PMCJ. They are:

User ImageU-Haul Mods
User ImagePoll Enforcer Mods
User ImageTattle-Tale Mods
User ImageJolly Donation Mods
User ImagePost Vanquisher Mods

User ImageU-Haul Mods:
They move, or haul, threads to their appropriate places. If somebody accidentally posts a quest thread in the Quizzes and Games subforum, it's your job to simply move the thread to the correct subforum. We will have three U-Haul Mods.

User ImagePoll Enforcer Mods:
They do just that--enforce polls. If somebody forgot to add a poll to their thread (every thread MUST have a poll) they politely inform the person. If somebody fails to ever add a poll, the Poll Enforcer Mod deletes the thread. We will have three Poll Enforcer Mods. We have two slots left!

User ImageTattle-Tale Mods:
These mods are essentially who people tattle-tale to, and they themselves tattle-tale also. You see, if a member of PMCJ has a problem with another member harassing them or begging, they report them to the Tattle-Tale Mod. Then the Tattle-Tale Mod reports that person to me. I'll deal with the issue personally. We will have four Tattle-Tale Mods.

User ImageJolly Donation Mods:
These mods have the easiest job. All they do is merrily skip around the guild and spontaneously donate to people they think deserve a donation. They always donate with a cheerful smile, and like employees at McDonald's they say "Have a nice day!". But of course, they're careful about who they donate to, and NEVER donate to people who beg. 3nodding We will have six Jolly Donation Mods. We have five slots left!

User ImagePost Vanquisher Mods:
These mods basically delete any inappropriate posts or posts that stretch pages and just annoy people and such. We will have four Post Vanquisher Mods.

How to become a mod.....

There is a process in becoming a mod and rules. I can't just simply make you a mod. But don't worry, it isn't complicated or anything.

Here are the rules for becoming a mod:

1. You must have been a member for at least six months

Not to offend new Gaians, but we need a mod with a bit of experience on Gaia. I reckon six months is a good length of time. If you want to be a mod, but haven't been a member for at least six months, you can wait until you're eligible. We'll be hiring mods through next year, so don't give up just yet!

2. You must be willing to donate

Even just five gold is appreciated! All donations are loved and cherished. But what's more important is donating to the members. But this is important: in our rules, we specifically say that begging is NOT allowed. We don't donate to beggers. We like to keep our donations spontaneous. People tend to appreciate them more when they know it's not coming. 3nodding

3. You must be online frequently

We have many contests and activities that require a mod's participation and help. For instance, when we judge the entries in the tektek contest, we need your vote on the entries (which, depending on the number of entries, could take a while). Try to be online at least a couple times a week, but I'd prefer if you were on everyday for at least a minute to check your mail. I may have an important message for you. If you can't commit, please don't become a mod. If we find that you're online rarely, we'll have to let you go. It's nothing personal though.

If all of the rules above apply to you, you are eligible to become a mod! But first you must go through the "becoming a mod" process.

Steps you must take to become a mod:

1. PM me stating you would like to be a mod

If you qualify for being a mod and would like to become one for my guild, please PM me (Winter panda) with a reason why you want to be a mod and which of the five kinds of mods you'd like to be. I'll promptly add you to the list and notify you when I'm ready to send you an invite to PMCJ.

2. You must join the RAKC

The RAKC is the Random Acts of Kindness Club. In this club, we do nice and kind things on Gaia and in real life. People who join this club don't have to become mods, but if you want to become a mod you have to join this club. The RAKC is located in my guild, and as of right now there are no members (since the guild isn't even open yet). But if you really want to become a mod, please read the rules and details in this link: Join the RAKC

3. You must go through our extensive mod training program

This is basically a mod boot camp. This will prove to us you really want to be a part of our guild, and are truly devoted. This program is going to separate the men from the boys, the women from the girls, the weak from the strong, etc.

4. And last but not least, you must participate in our "new mod tradition"

When freshmen first step foot inside high school, it's always tradition to give them a nice "welcome". whee At PMCJ, we do the same thing. But exactly what we do, we keep a secret. wink

***If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me. Thank you!***
How to become a PMCJ Sensei.....

Are you especially good at any subjects in school? If you are, that knowledge could pay off...

...In gUser Imageld

In PMCJ, we're starting a tutoring program called "Believers are Achievers". It's for all grade levels and for anybody who needs a little extra help in any area of schoolwork, from Math to English to Spanish--almost everything.

If you'd like to become a member of this club, PM me. I'd be more than happy to add you to the list. If you think you've got enough knowledge to become a tutor, read the details and rules below.

If you've read everything and you qualify to be a tutor, please PM me your request with the subject you'd like to tutor.

Details on being a tutor.....

All tutors start out as "Novice Tutors" with a 100 gold paycheck. All tutors receive their salary on the last Sunday of every month. If you prove to be a valuable and helpful tutor, your payment goes up and you are promoted. Meetings are twice a week: Monday at 8pm Eastern time and Saturday anytime in the afternoon from 1pm to 4pm. As I hire tutors, the times may change to accomodate their schedules. Meetings on Monday generally last about an hour, but can take longer if needed.

If I find that you aren't doing your job and fail to help the members all you can, you WILL be fired. It's nothing personal really, I just don't feel it's right paying a person to do a job they aren't doing or aren't doing that great. If you break any of the rules listed below, and/or any of the general rules of the Panda and Mink Charity Jamboree, you might be fired (depending on the offense committed).

There are four total levels of tutors:

User ImageNovice Tutors............Payed 100 gUser Imageld a month
User ImageIntermediate Tutors............Payed 200 gUser Imageld a month
User ImageJunior Genius Tutors............Payed 300 gUser Imageld a month
User ImageSenior Brainiac Tutors............Payed 500 gUser Imageld a month

Kinds of tutors we're looking for.....

Any branch of math including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc.
The reading department which includes English, Language Arts, Creative Writing, etc.
Science subjects like regular science, Biology, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
Foreign languages including Spanish, French, Latin, German, American Sign Language, etc. etc. etc.
U. S. History, World History, Economics, U.S. Government...etc....etc...etc. There are too many to name! gonk
Of course there are others I didn't mention. If your subject isn't here, you can still PM me.

Rules for being a tutor.....

1. You must be online frequently

I cannot stress this enough. As a tutor, you are a member of the Believers are Achievers club, and we have two meetings a week. You are expected to be present at those meetings. I'll understand if you can't make a few meetings, but it's your responsibility to try and be there and help people out.

2. Expect PMs from members

If a member of B.A.A. needs help with something, they are given permission to PM a tutor and ask for help. Of course you won't receive PMs all the time, but expect some from people who honestly need a little help.

3. Do not give out answers

Your job as a tutor is to GUIDE your students, not just give them answers. They don't learn that way and if you do just give them answers, you can guarantee that you'll be fired. Teach them the curriculum and help them as much as you can.

***If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me. Thank you!***
How to become a Panda Private Eye.....

In my guild, I'd like to keep track of the good samaritans and truly charitable people. The only way to do that is to hire some "outside help". As a Panda Private Eye, your job is to lurk around the threads, and wander here and there--all while keeping a list of the names of good people you come upon.

As a Panda Private Eye, you get payed 100 gold a month. But your salary may go up, depending on: how loyal you are to me, how secret you are about your private eye status, and how good you are at finding the nice people I want. Payday will be the last Sunday of every month.

I will have six Panda Private Eyes.

Rules and requirements for being a PPE:

1. You must have been a member of Gaia for at least six months

Again, I'd like my "employees" to have some knowledge and experience on Gaia.

2. You must be online frequently

You should be online at least every other day. If you're online everyday, that is much preferred. Just please try to be online as much as you can.

3. You must be secretive about your job

I don't want people to know that you're a Panda Private Eye. You do NOT tell anybody in the guild that you are a PPE. If they know you are, they'll try to be nice when you're around and try to get on the list and all that sneaky crap. Keep your identity a secret like a real life private eye.

***If you're interested in becoming a Panda Private Eye or have any questions whatsoever, PM me. I will give you additional information and instructions on how to become one.***
