Ok, this is based of a series however knowledge of the series is not required to play as it is only based off the theme and none of the actual characters make an appearance.
However here is some info none the less:

The setting is one much similar to fuedal japan mixed with a futuristic type theme. This means while there are swords, samurai, rice farmers, and what not, there are also large towering cities with elevators, guns of many types, robots, etc.
Long ago there was a great war, the samurai (soilders), fought in the war. However as the war seemed to have no end in sight the wealthiest merchants litterally bought out the fueding lords ending the war.
The samurai where then out of jobs and began wandering the streets looking for jobs as body guards, mercenaries, or resigning the honorable status to find work as something else.

However by far this effected the mech samurai the most. These where samurai whom had given up there bodies and had there minds downloaded into giant machines during the war. Now litterally giant weapons they could not fit into society at all, there life meaningless.
So they became the "Nobusari" (bandits) and began to pillage the country side, terrorizing the peasents and farmers.

In the anime the farmers hired 7 samurai to defend there village, the series going through the search for 7 unique and powerful samurai and then the battle therafter. In the rp we pick up sometime after this, the nobusari are still around and the samurai are still jobeless.
Many samurai still turn to join the Nobusari and work under there ranks.

Also within the guild is the "guild dictionary" which holds many referance terms used such as "Nobusari", "Machine Samurai", "suffex'es and pre-ffexe's used in japan such as -chan, -kun, etc"

The rp employs an original battle and leveling system, so those whom are more litterate and make longer posts have better characters and that newre players won't really stand up to the older ones until they work just as hard to rp there characters up in power (basically god moding is impossible as actual numerical stats are employed)
This is my second guild using such a system (although the system in both differs) and the first has been up and very active for over a year, I hope to make this one better as it has only been out for a bit over a week now and already decently active.
