Task One

Child's Name: Mele (Melebean)

Full Description of Child:
Mele is a small but chubby child, with vibrant purple hair the consistancy of soft down feathers. As a baby and toddler the hair is likely to resemble just that, tuffs of down on a gosling, though in later stages it would be longer, though still just as soft, and featherlike. His skin is ivory, though patterned by pale purple swirls that originate from under the hair on his face and neck and from his belly on his stomach and from the spine over his back and bottom. He has squared off feet, no toes, and only two fingers and a thumb, though no nails. His eyes are large, deep green and pupilless, as a baby... Nearly blind in the early stage, using just infared to see objects, though pupils are developed slowly after that, allowing sight to be gained in gradual steps, so that by the teen stage they have perfect sight, on top of their infared seeing abilities. Other distinguishing features are the soft lavender wings settled just above the boy's bottom. Rather useless as a baby, aside from generating a cool breeze on hot days, by toddlerhood they'd start being able to lift the child in short bursts, bottom first for a rather odd gait.


Child's Personality:
Mele is a rather happy-go-lucky child. Friendly and energetic (bordering on hyperactive) he tends to have a rather short attention span, always on the go and doing something. He has an active imagination and if he isn't surrounded by other friends, he'll make them up for himself. As to how this childhood behavior adapts in later stages, Im still not quite certain.


Anything else: Sugar. At any particular point in time he'd have some sort of sugar in his possession, whether hidden in a unseen stash or out in the open. He might as well take advantage of being on a planet where the substance is not illegal.

To complete Task Five, you must write the story of how your baby landed on Gaia. You can do this in any way you'd like, as long as it doesn't directly involve Archie or Dixie at all (translation - you can mention them in passing, but don't roleplay them).

Some ways you could take this, thought up off of the top of my head in the middle of the night:

* The baby's pod lands in your guardian's yard.
* The baby lands in an alley and your guardian just happens to be the next one through. The catch: the kid has climbed out of the pod and covered itself in trash. One of my kids came from a dumpster - it's fun!
* The pod lands in Archie and Dixie's yard off-schedule and they aren't home waiting for it. Your guardian sneaks into the yard and takes the kid.
* Anything else you can come up with. Yay!


Previous arrivals can be found here for reference on pod-to-ground descriptions. They are nearly silent now, so you might not want to make your kid's arrival very loud. On the other hand, maybe the reason why they landed off course was because their pod was broken. I dunno man. It's your arrival.

These things should probably be at least a couple of paragraphs long. It's an important time in your child's life!

Design an interplanetary pet and describe it in your contest thread. That's it. I would prefer it be something from your criminal's home planet, but I understand sometimes that's impossible, so just do what you feel. You don't have to draw anything - words should be just fine on this one.

These pets will eventually be drawn and offered up for sale/SS events (you'll get one of the ones you designed as well), so don't base yours on a beloved original creation. Or a v****a or anything.
