what's this, then?

a quest, you say?

why, yes. actually, you could say it's just a place to store information. in light of recent events, such as the lost children contest, i've decided to, once again, plunge into the realm of the fa'e questors. i'll get straight to the point by saying this: i'm not looking for donations or anything, unless they're that of words; comments, critiques, suggestions, you know. if you've anything to say, by all means, post your opinions.

INFORMATION: NEASA

fa'e concept; irish folklore, the dana o'shee.
based on information found on encyclopedia mythica.

name neasa [pronounced nessa] onora britannic.
meaning of name not gentle.
guardian helen britannic.
gender female.
age teenager; about sixteen or so.

personality

neasa emits an unpleasant aura of sorts; while she acts nice, caring, and seems to be an all around good person, she doesn’t really mean it. the whole act is just something to gain people’s trust, though most of the time she doesn’t even bother. in fact, she sees most people befitting the roles of servants or playthings, and takes advantage of them if given the chance. her mindset is relatively simple; people cannot be trusted, so betray them before they can betray you.

the only person, other than herself, who she actually cares for, and respects, is her guardian. so, she isn’t entirely heartless.

she’s often concerned with her appearance, and wants the finest in clothing and jewelry. neasa probably lucked out when she got an aspiring fashion designer for a guardian; then again, those things aren’t easily attainable on helen’s salary. surely, you can imagine her charge’s pain and suffering when she found that out.

the dana o’shee is graceful in many ways, aside from speech. she thinks how she speaks a little odd, since she has an american accent, and often uses irish terms.

appearance

hobbies

neasa is somewhat musically inclined, playing both the piccolo and the transverse flute; the piccolo was her first instrument and her favorite, strangely because of the shrill sounds it makes. if she were able to get another instrument, she’d more than likely choose a cello, if only to attempt to play a piece by one of her favorite composers, johann sebastian bach. on another note, she likes to dance, too, but she doesn’t do so as often.

she also takes joy in tormenting the children her guardian babysits.

otherwise, she sometimes eyes the neighbor’s puppy as if it’s to be her next lunch, but, not too sure if that’s a hobby.

abilities

enchantment: by way of music, neasa may be able to enchant certain people. the victim would be put under a trance of sorts, and, just maybe, the dana o’shee would have a little power over them and their actions for a limited amount of time. [since she doesn’t exactly carry an instrument around with her every waking moment, this would probably happen, say, once in a blue moon.]

eternal beauty: not the most helpful or interesting skill, but, staying true to her nature, neasa would always seem beautiful and full of youth, no matter how old she got. then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

weaknesses

physical strength: neasa is very weak in the physical aspect; you can’t expect much strength from someone so frail, really. the only thing she’s good at is running.

and, just perhaps, her guardian, helen.

OTHER INFORMATION: THE GUARDIAN AND WORLD

name helen britannic.
age twenty-something.
born on july ninth.
currently lives in philadelphia.

height about, say, five feet, six inches.
weight well, it has three digits.

neasa and helen; the mother/daughter relationship between the dana o’shee and helen isn’t really anything special. they're on a first name basis, thus they treat eachother as equals, more or less, but the elder still makes the major decisions around the household and whatnot. outside their apartment, neasa will often be seen following her guardian.

helen is, quite obviously, human, with no real special traits. she was born and raised in philadelphia by her two parents, with no other siblings. while dabbling babysitting jobs, she aspires to become a fashion designer; most of her free time is spent watching project runway reruns, and some other assorted fashion shows, with neasa.

she doesn't like it when things are extremely different from what she's used to. after all, she's lived in the same state for twenty years. if she actually did get to gaia, she'd probably faint. several times. after that, she'd probably freak out about not paying rent for her apartment before she left; nevermind the fact that she's on another world. so, you see, she's got her priorities a little out of order.

a random fact: she often dyes her hair blue; it's considered a rare occasion when you can see her actual hair color.
