Thyme on fleeting wings did fly
Making memories as she raced by
But then grew gravely ill and paused
And a break in the time-continuum cause
All the world around stopped short, no doubt
For the illness made Thyme's wings fall out
Father Thyme nursed her till she no longer ailed
But Thyme was wingless- felt that she had failed
She swore a great oath to prevent a reoccur
That never again could anything stop her
For she vowed she would quest every single wing there
If they fell out again- she'd always have a spare...

A Bit About Thyme:

I'm an 19-year-old college student studying Japanese language and translation. I've been on Gaia for a little over a year now, during which time I've made many great friends and had lots of fun. ^_^
I came to Gaia in a rather unusual fashion- on the recommendation of my dad- knowing I'm an anime fan- he said he'd found a site where you could "dress up your own anime character" xD. This was way back in March '04...the site was still rather new- I remember taking a tour and not understanding anything sweatdrop I bookmarked the site to get back to later [still kicks herself for not having joined back then xP]...RL kept me busy until two years later I finally joined on June 8, 2006. I mostly hang around the Charity/Quest thread forums-where some of the nicest, friendliest people can be found...=3
I enjoy questing difficult items and meeting new people- I've met many wonderful friends through this thread and hope to make many more- so stop by and chat anytime! ^_^
Any support for my quest- whether it be items, gold, affiliating me or simply a kind word of encouragement- is greatly appreciated... heart

Progress:

I make my gold in all the usual ways- posting, rating in the arenas, a little vending in the marketplace and investing in MCs. I also plan to help my quest move along a bit faster by opening an art shop around the end of July/ beginning of August...=3
~this idea is on hold for now, as I ended up opening an art giveaway thread for the months of August and September...^_^

Current Funds: approx. 220k - yay! I broke 200k!!! 4laugh

When I joined Gaia, the angel-themed items on the site immediately caught my eye where ever I went- so shiny, wingy, angelic and heavenly- I wanted them all [or at least...my favorites XP]....and thus my quest for winged and angelic items began...
At this point, there are still many winged/angelic items that are unaffordable to me, so this quest is for the more realistically questable items among them. There are two main quest lists- "Winged" [items with angel wings of some sort] and "Angelic" -- from which I will alternate questing one from each until I finish. The third list "Etcetera" is for additional items I'd like to quest [sometime] in the near future.

July 15: Construction Complete!

Whew! that was no simple task- but it's done, finally...i like the results...and tinviel's banner looks nice up there...^_^

July 2nd: Thread Facelift Begins....

As of today the thread will be under construction. I've taken down all the banners, etc...and will be making new ones over the next few weeks....I hope to also open an art shop here- just a small one to start...^_^ but i'm not sure when i will be able to do this since my main computer is still being repaired...we'll see how things work out.
Wow- over 9 months of questing! I'm so slow aren't I ? xD

June 2: Gaiaversary Coming Up!!!

Wow...nearly a year of being on Gaia ^_^...yes, on June 8th I will officially become 1 Gaian year old... ^w^
I had hoped to celebrate this occaision a little more lavishly, but unfortunately my Gaiaversary and end-of-year exams are clashing so there's no time to prepare any interesting events...I have, however, prepared a small giveaway that won't require me being online for long periods on my Gaiaversary... >.<

Thyme's Gaiaversary Art Giveaway!

I will be giving away free avi art to 5 (randomly chosen) people who come into my thread on my Gaiaversary. If 5 people or less post in the thread (probably what'll end up happening sweatdrop ) then they will all recieve art (Yay!). I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do on short notice...hopefully next year I'll be able to host a bigger event... =D

wow- this month's item is the archenemy of the Winged Anklets...the Demonic Anklets!!!...that's why...I GOTTA HAVE 'EM!!!

Waaahh...I've been so busy I haven't had any time to quest!!! ...still recovering from buying that gift of the goddess last month...but, then, all the donation items seem to have shot up in price, these days...the quest is still on, though! jeez, i gotta come in here once in awhile- Charinjie's still bumpin' me up faithfully- THANKS!!! <333

Heya! I finally got myself one thing I wanted- the Gift of the Goddess...ureshii yo!!! ^_^
I think I deserve it...I need a present once in awhile...yosh- it's the gift of self-quest-motivation!!! =3

January 24: Happy New Years!!!

Ok, so I couldn't make it on Jan. 1st, but hey! it's still the first month of 2007, isn't it?
Let's see, now to New Year's Resolutions...
1. Try to be on Gaia more...in my busy college life... xP
2. continue my impossible quest (which has gotten even more impossible (is that even possible???) with the 100k inflation of the Winged Anklets near the end of last year... *cry*
3. *drools over Jan. Donation items* Wow- I gotta have the Gift of the Goddess next- the slipper equip. looks like the Winged Anklets!!!! maybe it could be my questaversary present to myself =D
5. And last but not least- celebrate my 1st Questaversary in high style this September- wow, it's already been four months of questing!!!!

December 19 (2006): New Update

~Whew! I've been away for quite a while now! But that doesn't mean I've deserted the quest- oh no!
So far I've mostly been just letting the items I have gain value while I hoard enough gold to buy new ones. Right now, I'm setting my eyes on that Elemental Hair as my next investment item. I should be able to afford it rather soon, I hope...but I'm rather busy these days with college, so I'm not likely to be on that often- still, I'll get there eventually. ^^
