Wonder Staff!

This is Wonder_Shopkeep. She's in charge of the daily handling of donations, wish granting, and the like. If you see a trade form her, it means your wish has finally come true!

Need: Wish Takers (Those who can send wishes on to me), Idea Men/Women (Those who can help people with questing questions), And Seekers (People willing to do market research for other Gaians)

Announcements!

9/29/06- Check it out! Rincs finished up the main artwork! SHow her much love and check out her art!

9/16/06- The first posts are finally set up. I've got a few artists working on my banner problem and some other fun projects. I'll also be starting the first lotto on Sunday... here's hoping we get some interest! I'll also be updating the "Wall of Fame" with my first customer. It's thanks to her and another that I've decided to give this a go. They'll be up there soon.

9/12/06- Welcome to the first day of the Wonder Shop. First things first... I need an artist or two. I'm looking to pay for some great banner, avatar, and storefront enhancing art.

Also, we could use some donations. These donations and the like to help run the store. Ultimately to be seen as a place for people to get thier wish/dream items seen and achieved. We're not picky! Throw us construction paper, tickets, tokens, fireflies, guppies... what have you!

Finally, Spread the Word, Spread the Word, Spread the Word! The more people who see the Wonder Shop, the more people who'll know what your dream item is!

You wonder aimlessly across the glitz and glamour of the market... You see what you want from all sides, taunting you with how expensive and out of reach it is. But then you stumble into a small little ally with an honest to god cobblestone street. In the low light you make out a sign, it's a shop... And you won't believe what you see in the window for such a low price...

The Trading post
Where the wonder shop finds the things it needs, with plenty of fun things to trade for it! Also, for people to put up their own items for trade with one another.

The Wonder Shop Needs...

*Tokens and Tickets!- We're always on the hunt for Wishes in the casino. If you're willing , throw any spares you may have our way so these wishes can come true.
*Items!- Got something to spare? Something that would make someone really happy? Or even just old junk littering your item list? We want to get that item to those who need it.
*Artist Referrals!- Many Gaians quest for fine avatar art. If you know a good artist who's willing to make a dream come true, send them here. We'll broker a good deal for artist and subject.
*Linking!- To keep the wishes alive, people need to know about the shop. Please take an ad banner or portrait below for your Journal, sig, guild, or establishment. We'll always link your threads and sites as well!

In a small corner of the store there are two plaques. One is illuminated tastefully and bears the names and images of those who have been of great service to the Wonder Shop. The other seems to give a dim glow, on it is the names of those who will only be granted a Monkey's Paw wish...

We Just love our first wishee, Shiny Happy Person! She got her Lunar Cloak for only 10K, and has already contributed many fun items and a pot of cash to the shop.

Wicked Obsession is inspiration numero uno for this shop. He's been supporting it and believes in it's cause. Also, many many donations just appear in my trade box from him. Bless his heart! heart

Daecian's another one crowding number one in my book. Definately a fine supporter of my efforts and a fine giver of dreams. His official shop title?

At the side of the counter sits a pecular site, a well. On it is a sign that simply says "Write your fondest Gaian Wish... Drop it in and see how far it comes true!". Along the side is a serious set of rules, so study them for your wish to come true...
The Wishing Well

Here are the rules for making a wish request. Breaking these rules will result in a position on the "Wall o' Shame" which will prevent you from ever recieving services of the Wonder Shop and it's affiliates.

In order to make a wish, please post using these guidelines.

Step 1: Cut, paste, and fill out this little form In the thread (Do not quote this post).

When my wishes come true, would I be willing to help others for thier wishes?:

Step 2: Commitment to your wish. In order to make your wish live, we'll need you to help. Just by spreading the word elsewhere, putting a link in your signature, and even bumping a bit will help us help other people with thier wishes.

Step 3: Agreement for the finality. We are still a shop. While you won't be paying 50K+ gold for your spiffy new item, you'll still be paying a few gold. Most of the time it'll be half the price or less, but that will be worked out with either Dean, or the person handling your case.

Step 4: Enjoy! We hope you love your new item, and will be back when your friends need help too! You'll be put up on the "Wall of Fame" when your transaction is completed.

Over by the main counter is a small jar with a sign. Next to the jar are a few pieces of paper and a small locked coinbox. The sign reads...

The Lucky Lotto is the weekly lotto with a fluxuating prize.

The prize is dictated by how many tickets are bought. For each ticket bought at 10gold, the prize increases 5 gold. So, for 50 tickets sold means a jackpot of 250 gold. 1000 tickets nets 5000 gold, and so on.

You may buy more than one ticket.

Purchace tickets by starting a trade with DeanTheAdequate and putting "Lucky Lotto" in the heading.

A drawing will not be held unless at least 10 tickets are sold to at least ten contestants.

Drawings will be determined with the random number generator.

Drawings will be held every Monday Morning.

Jackpot updaters once a day.

FAQ

*Q: Do I need to be the one to recieve the item?
A: Nope. You can be here on behalf of a friend. We even suggest it. It's so good to give!

*Q: Why do I have to pay, isn't this a charity?
A: This isn't a charity. It's a discounting store that's meant to help fight the inflation on Gaia. By investing now, we've felt that we can put things in place to start prices going down. Sure, the really old rares will still be super high, but what about the day a sealed letter can be bought for 2K? I'd like to see that happen.

*Q: Can we PM you the wishes?
A: No. If we were to do that we'd have a full inbox almost instantaneously. Instead, place them here. When one of the shop members checks the current posts, we'll be sure to note your sown so we can get to work on your wish.

*Q: Why is the lotto always so low?
A: Because it's an easy lotto. While 250 gold jackpots arn't high, think of how much clicking you'd have to do to get it. Besides, a 250% return investment is easy to gamble on. If you want a higher jackpot, get all your friends in on the action.

*Q: Can I pick my Lotto Numbers?
A: Since it's a fluctuating lotto it's going to have to be first come first serve. THe first ticket will always be 1, next 2, and so on.

*Q: What if the Lotto is cancelled? WIll I get my money back?
A: Yes, Dean will refund any and all tickets purchaced for the current lotto in the case too few contestants or tickets are bought.
