Reploid Awakening
Part Two:Forced Awakening
Megaman Fanfiction
(The setting it set in present day, Earth)
Ky woke the next morning to to sound of a raven outside his window.
Groggily leaning forward, Ky aimlessly smacked the window to chase the
raven away. At this the raven gave one last surprised squal and flew from
the window seal. Reaching his hand up to rub his eyes, he looked out the
window and saw a police patrol car out by the curb of his house. Ky looked
at the patrol car as the events of yesterday fell back into his mind. "Oh
yeah," Ky muttered. "Yesterday..." Ky slid out of bed, not bothering to fix
his bedsheets. His room hasn't changed much over the years at his
grandmother's house. He still had his old twin sized bed that was sided to
the corner next to the only window in his room. The oak door that led to
the upstairs hall was directly three feet away from the foot of his bed. Next
to the left side of his bed was a nightstand his mother bought him. His
dresser lied to the opposite corner of his room. The dresser is his
grandmother's, which was there when he moved in with her. next to it was
an end table, which sufficed as a desk for his schoolwork. The desk fit
snugly between the dresser and the wardrobe to its left. Ky kept most of
his old toys and clothes in the wardrobe to keep them from cluttering his
room. Ky changed into a long blue button shirt and cargo pants before
heading downstairs to see what the police had fround out.
When he walked into the living room he saw two police officers sitting
in the couch across the loveseat his grandmother was sitting on. Seeing Ky
enter the room the police gave a him a blank stare as he sat on the
loveseat next to his grandmother, she was sitting forwards, writhing her
hands gently with a worried look on her face. "Good morning officers." Ky
said. He figured that they found the students that ambushed Trevor, or the
students came to them. What Ky couldn't figure is if they were here
because they wanted to ask about the light and disapearence of the
student, or if the students had twisted the story to their favor. After a few
moments the officer leaned forward and put his hands together, leaning his
elbows on his knees. "We want to ask you a few questions about the fight
yesterday, and about the disapearence of one of those students that
attacked your freind." Ky sighed in relief that the students hadn't told them
about the strange light, he knew that would bring to much commotion and
confusion. "We also want to ask about the light the students saw last night
as well." The officer. "Crap," Thought Ky. "I guess I should tell the truth
then." Taking a deep breath, Ky told the officers everything, from when he
was walking home with Trevor to the light and disapearence of the student
that had grappled him. "Look officers, I know this is far fetched, but I know
what I saw. Im telling the truth." The officer then leaned backwards and let
out an exhausted sigh. "We believe you son, we just wish we didn't have
to. You see, there have been multiple cases like this across the country.
Its just been sightings and disapearence of objects so far, but now we
might have our first casualty." Ky felt both a wave of fear and relief. He
was relieved that they will believe him, but he feared the reason why these
lights were making things, and people, disapear. "All the similar lights have
left the ground, and the objects they leave behind in a twisted, well,
anomoly. We can't make heads or tails if this is alien interference, or the
begining of an apocalypse. We just hope this passes by soon so no one
gets hurt, or before it gets worse." "So I didnt just see anything, it was all
real?" "Yes, were afraid so. What you did back there to those students was
either brave, or foolish, because if your freind had taken much more of a
beating he would have died. He's in the Bayview hospital in critical
condition, the beatings he took had caused internal bleeding. But don't
worry, the surgeons say he should make it out just fine." Ky looked down
with a worried expression on his face. He knew his freind didnt look to well
after the fight, but he didnt think he would be that close to death.
"Your quite lucky though kid, you managed kicked the crap out of 5
other people, sent one to the hospital for a broken rib and was close to
near death or worse. Who knows what that light does to things, or people."
The officers then stood up and stretched slightly. "Your not in trouble for
the fight, since it was in the defense of your freind. Your story checks out
perfectly but netherless, there might be some government officials coming
by soon, and the media. Id advise staying over at a freinds house if you
dont want to risk overexposure. We will be investigating this, and if we find
anything the office should call you, unless its unauthorized. That will be all,
thank you for your time." Ky led the officers to the door and opened the it
for them. As soon as the officers left, his grandmother came up behind
him. "I don't know whats really going on Ky, but I have a very bad feeling
about this. Id like you to stay here, but I dont trust the government. Ill
take care of things here, I want you to take one of your school lunches
and go to Rachel's house. Since Trevors at the hospital she's the only
freind you've got left to go to." Ky felt a deep sadness in his heart for
some reason. Not only sadness for his grandmother's concern, but sadness
as if he was leaving forever. "Don't worry, grandma. Everything will be
just fine." Ky put his arms around his grandmother and tried to comfort
her, but she was still shaking. She then went and gave Ky the lunch to
take with him. "Are you sure I should go?" Ky asked. "Yes, if the police
reccomend you leave the house from their own government, then this is a
lot more serious than we may believe it is. They could be here any minute,
and please call when you get there." Ky reluctantly opened the door and
said his last goodbyes to his grandmother and left.
Down the street Ky wanted to stop and go back but there was a
feeling that he couldn't. He was compelled to go a way in which he didnt
want to go. Away from home. Rachels house was about three streets
away, and down a gravel road into the forest. After a half hour of walking,
Ky soon stood in the driveway of her house, wondering if he should go
back. Rachel had been freinds with Ky for three years and often came to
her for advice and company. Rachel was very smart, and always seemed
to be expecting him when he came to visit. Ky has never seen her parents
though, who seemed to always be away. He walked up to the front porch,
to the door, and attempted to knock on it. Before he could reach the door,
it opened as Rachel peered out, with a smile on her face. "I saw you
standing in the driveway." She said. Rachel was about the same height Ky
was, had long blondish brown hair and wore round glasses. Ky forced a
smile past his worried expression and stammered, "R-rachel, can I stay
here for a while? Somethings happened..." He watched as Rachels smile
turned to a worried expression that had matched Ky's. "Yeah, come in.
Whats happened Ky?" Ky dropped his false smile and said, "Its a long
story, but I dont want you to worry as well." Rachel opened the door the
rest of the way, replying, "Thats ok, Ky. I can't possibly worry anymore
than I already am. Come in and sit on the couch, Ill go get the tea."
Rachel walked in through the living room to the kitchen, where Ky heard
the whistle of a kettle. Ky walked in, closed the door behind him and sat on
the couch, looking at the floor. Ky wondered why he was so afraid, he
knew what happened was a coincedence but he felt like something horrible
has happened.
Rachel walked into the living room with the tea and set it on the
coffee table in front of Ky. Rachel sat next to him and ask what was wrong.
Ky forcefully told his story, frequently pausing to check if he was right. He
soon reached the part about the light and vanishing of the student. Her
worried expression grew wide with horror. As soon as Ky finished she
stood up and sternly said, "Ky, I need to go somewheres really quick, I
want you to stay here." She began to quickly walk to the door outside as
Ky stammered, "W-wait, where are you going?" Rachel paused and quickly
turned around. "Somethings terribly wrong, and your life is about to
change. Its the least I can tell you right now. Please stay here." Rachel
quickly turned back and left outside the door, closing it behind her. Ky
quickly raced to the door and opened it, catching a small glimps of a blue
light. He couldn't see Rachel anywhere. Ky stood frozen, holding onto the
door, wide eyed. "No, the light couldnt have taken Rachel!" Thought Ky.
"But this light was blue, the other one was yellow!"
Ky slowly began to feel weak, and remembered what Rachel had
said. "Somethings terribly wrong, and your life is about to change. Please
stay here." Ky continued to repeat this in his head. "Wait, does she know
whats going on? Where did she go?" Ky let go of the door as it slid shut. he
slowly shuffled back to the couch, a confused look on his face. As he sat
down, he felt a fear that he had never felt before. He didn't want his life to
change, he wanted whatever was happening to stop. He even began to
regret fighting against those students. He just wanted to go home, for this
unnamed fear in his heart to stop shadowing him. He sat on the couch,
fretting and panicking as the fear in his heart sent his body into a cold
shock. But suddenly he felt the same warmth flow over his body, the same
one he felt before the light appeared in the fight. His eyes widened with
horror as the same light appeared in from of him and lifted the coffe table
off the ground. The tea set was flung against the wall, shattering as the tea
spilled all over the television set under it. The table began to twist its
shape and form, splitting in half and was then dropped to the ground. The
light began to distance itself from Ky, who was sat frozen on the couch. Ky
somehow felt some connection with the light, as it started pulsing, and
soon faded into a blue and white static, similar to a televisions's static
when nothing is plugged into it. Ky felt the warmth pulse in his body as
well, slowly washing away his shock and fear. He slowly stood from the
couch and hypnoticly bagan to walk towards it, going between the warped
pieces of the coffee table. Ky soon stood in from of the static and began to
reach his hand towards it, he then began to feel a slight tug towards it. He
saw the door open in the corner of the room. Ky slowly tilted his head
towards Rachel in a blank, trance like stare, his hand still half risen to the
pulsing static. Rachel turned to her right and spread her feat in a sideways
stance and raised her arm, pointing her hand towards the static with a
angered expression on her face. Ky watched as what looked like a bright
red arm cannon materialize on her outstretched arm as the cannon began
to glow, as if it was charging up. At its climax, a huge blue ball of energy
shot out of it, knocking Rachel backwards and completly decimating the
pulsing static in from of Ky, knocking him back to the couch and shaking
him out of his trance. Rachel regained her balance and ran towards Ky.
"Your worlds being overrun with a virus! We have to take you out!" She
said as she grabbed Ky's arm. "C-close your eyes!" she stammered as a
bright blue light encircled the two.
