Reploid Awakening
-Megaman X Fanfiction-
Part one:Vanished
(The first setting is present time, Earth)
Ky lay on his bed, staring at the cieling of his small room. The walls of his
room were colored blue, which had faded to a darker blue due to the
fading sunset outside his only window. Furniture snugly fit against the wall
and next to each other, distinctly resembling a sign of harmony. "I can't
beleive what happened today." Ky thought as he smoothly covered his
face with his hand, running it down his tense expression. He then slowly
got out of his bed and stretched. Ky stands about 5,9 feet tall, has hazel
eyes and brown hair about 7 inches long. "How could he disapear like
that?" Ky continued to ponder as walked over to his dresser and leaned on
it.
Earlier in the day, Ky's best freind, Trevor, had been ambushed by a
small gang composed of 5 five students when they were walking home
from the high school. They surrounded Trevor when Ky had parted ways
with him. The students wore mostly loose clothing and armbands. Ky heard
the commotion and turned back around to see Trevor on the ground, being
beaten by the gang. At first Ky stared with a shocked expression on his
face. Ky would never abandon his freind like this. Without thought he
began to tense his body as his expression change to a solem gaze. He
began walking towards them at first, accelerating slowly towards the
students. He felt the adreneline flow through his body, as well as
excitement. "Finally," Ky thought, "I get to see how well I can fight!" But
soon his excitement was replaced by fear. "What the hell am I thinking, I
can't take on all of them at once! Let alone hold them off!" Ky's
advancement quickly slowed. "But I can't leave him..." Ky then saw his
freind halfheartedly try to block the kicks and jabs that rained down on
him. At this Ky's mind went blank, only feeling a mixture of hate, anger,
fear, and the pounding of his heart and feet as he rushed towards the
sudents.
Ky reached the student closest to him, sending a tightly closed fist at
the side of his face at a full run, sending him into the student beside him.
The other student had noticed the attack and caught his comrade,
switching his glance between Ky and his freind. Ky stood with his feet
parted and his fists in front of him, somehow taking naturally to this
stance. The other three students stopped beating Trevor and slowly walked
into a horizontal line towards Ky, each with a sneering expression. The
blonde student between the other two jeered his head back and started
yelling, "Now why in the hell did you do that? We got some business with
this person, and you just up and interupt us!" Ky heard what the student
was saying, but he wasn't listening. "You b*****d!" Ky screamed, thoughts
of how the gang beat his defensless freind filled his head as he rushed the
blonde student and sent a punch into his stomach. The blow had knocked
the wind out of him as he bagan kneeling to the ground. The other
students however, did not hesitate in attemping to grab his arms. Ky sent
an open palm at the student to his right, pushing him back as the left
student grabbed his arm. The student tried putting Ky's arm behind his
back but he twisted towards the student and pushed him away, just
enough room for Ky to land a kick to the upper left part of the student's
abdomen, gaining extra force as he held onto the student with his right
hand. He heard something crack as the student fell backwards and began
writhing on the ground. The student he had pushed away came up from
behind him and grabbed both his arms and tightly pulled them back,
landing his foot to Ky's lower back back as he was forced to kneel onto the
cement.
Ky struggled but the pain quickly tamed him as his arms felt as if
they would be ripped off. The student then jerked him around to face the
blonde student, who was holding his stomach with a grimace on his face.
Ky's mind began to clear as he realized what he had done. The fight had
happened so suddenly, He couldn't figure out what got him here. He knew
he couldn't get away, not with the grip and pain the student had over him.
as the blonde student aproached him he felt a slight buzzing in his head.
Ky slightly lowered his head in dismay as the blonde student was about to
hit him. He closed his eyes and expected pain, but instead felt a relaxing
warmth surround his body. He opened his eyes and noticed the blonde
student staring past him with a bewildered expression on his face and a
bright light animating behind Ky. The blonde student stumbled backwards,
falling to the ground as he felt the grip the student behind him had slightly
loosen and let go. Ky fell to his hands and quickly looked behind him to
see the student vanish in the bright light that surrounded him, the light
quickly fading soon after. Ky scrambled to his feet and looked at where
both the light and the student were, but there was nothing. Ky looked down
and saw that the ground looked like it was twisted in a spiral formation. Ky
heard the student behind him get back up and call to his freinds to retreat,
but none of them moved. Ky slowly turned his side to the student, fists still
clenched as he looked at him. The blonde student slowly began to back
away before turning around and running at a dead bolt down the street. Ky
looked for the student that had caught the first one he had knocked out,
but he couldnt find him. Ky figured he had fled during the commotion. Ky
then walked over to his unconcious freind and knelt down beside him.
"Hey, are you alright?" Ky asked in a shaken tone. No response. Ky
hoisted his freind up, leaning against his shoulder as he carried him home.
When Ky had got Trevor's home and explained to his mother what
happened, excluding the part when the student vanished, she immedeatly
called the police after tending to her son. When the police arrived they
questioned Ky extensively about the fight and what the students looked
like. After the police left Ky said goodbye to Trevor's mother as he went
out the door. He didn't hear a "Thank you!" as he had expected. "She
probably doesnt believe that I took on 5 people... and Trevor was beaton
quite badly." Ky thought as he walked home. Occasionally he would wave
his arms from side to side, exhaling slowly to help him wind down from the
fight. What hadn't left his mind the whole time is what caused the student
to disapear.
For the rest of the day, Ky had retreated to his room to think about
what had happened. Ky walked away from his dresser to the bed and
looked out the window that laid across it. The light from the setting sun
turned a redish orange color as it trickled past the tree's leaves on the
horizon. "Maybe I should go to bed, the police will find something by then."
Ky muttered as he pulled back his light blue bedsheets and crawled inside,
not bothering to change. After the sun fully set, his mind began to grow
weary of all his thoughts. Exhaustion soon got the better of him as he
finally drifted to sleep.
