STORY

From the back of BLAME! volume 01:

In a future world rife with decay and destruction, Killy is a man of few words who packs one very powerful gun. He wanders an endless labyrinth of cyberdungeons filled with concrete and steel, fighting off cyborgs and other bizarre silcate creatures. Everyone is searching for the Net Terminal Genes, but no one is quite certain what kind of pwer they contain. The answer may lie hidden among the scattered human settlements of this cast and desolate future world.

Genres:

As the back of the manga says: Sci-Fi/Action.
I also consider it cyber punk and dark (sci-fi).

If you have your own summary, then please submit it by noting me.

ANIME/MANGA INFO

So far, the only works of Nihei released in English are Wolverine: Snikt! (originally in English), BLAME!, and the BLAME! DVD. I haven't heard any news about further translating his other manga.

BLAME! has been made into seven short anime episodes (appx. 5 minutes each). (You can find them under the "LINKS" section.)

Coming soon is a 3D BLAME! movie.

Okay to give things a little start, who's everyone's favorite character?

I'm going to have to say Killy. Dunno why, but he's just too awesome. X3 And I'm trying to remember...near the end, wasn't Killy missing a leg? (Not like it seems to matter...he tends to magically grow limbs back anyway...). One of Nihei's other works, Abba, has an old man with a missing leg. XD Hmm connection??

My favorite character would probably be Killy mrgreen He's such a badass who can always come out of a battle alive and blow the bad guys away.
Otherwise, I really like Sana-Kan and how much of a comparison she is to Killy. Also, she reminds me of one of my characters wink

My favorite character is... Cibo?
heh Despite the fact that she doesnt get much recognition, she is still my favorite character. Mostly for the fact that she asks all the questions that Killy doesnt, she is unpredictable to the point were it surprizes every one and she is kinda cute for a girl who lives in an age were life is a constant battle. Second favorite character would be Domo, he is prety much just like Killy exept for the fact that he isnt as trigger happy and hes just as badass.

Yeah Sanakan is very awesome! It's interesting to see how much she changes though throughout the manga.

Vladimiravich

Haha funny how you say she isn't recongnized much even though she's in the series most of the time. I suppose it's because she isn't all that popular. But she's my second favorite.
At least Domo has a sense of humor. Well sort of. XD

Vladimiravich

I agree that Cibo is a very important character because she does most of the talking for Killy. Also, she seems to escape death way more than once. Always switching bodies and such mrgreen
