The Tour
Please, let me give you the grand tour of the Bar!

On the map, we are here, just beside the casino.

The outside of the bar is located on a small private beach, just on the edge of a beautiful, pollution-free ocean. Sun-beds, beach umbrellas and towels can be requested at the bar.

The inside of the bar is small and warm, with a lovely cosy feel to it. There is a bar (and a kitchen), some comfy sofas, a small stage, and a fireplace – although we don’t use it much!

There’s even a small swimming pool, for those who don’t like salt water.

arrow No bumping, chat-speak, spamming or advertising. And please keep quotes to a minimum if possible.

arrow Please try to be literate, it really is appreciated! To make sure you understand this, put "Literate." as the subject if you're applying for a job.

arrow Do not post profiles. When we first see you, we shouldn’t know your full name, age, or history! Please explain these things in normal posts.

arrow Please pay attention to the state of the weather here, and don’t post that you’re relaxing on the beach if it’s raining. I try to have the weather contitions in the poll, but it's not always possible.
Likewise, please make note of the time of day it is! We run on Gaia Standard Time here.

arrow Respect me, the staff, and all other customers. We try to have a friendly atmosphere, so don’t ruin it for everyone!

arrow If you see anyone breaking any of these rules, please tell a bouncer, who will ask the person to change or delete the offending post. If the person refuses, the bouncer will PM me and I will delete the post. Do not respond to an offending post.

To Apply for a Job


To apply for a job, send me a PM, telling me a little bit about your RP character, - and yourself, if you want - what position you want, and if you have any experience. Please make sure you have read the employee rules first!

Employees can resign from a job at any time, by sending me a PM explaining that they want to quit.

I reserve the right to dismiss any employee, with or without warning, and to delete them from the employee list, at any time. If there have been no posts for a month without any explanation, I may delete you from the list.

Employee Rules
Customers do not need to read this.


arrow Make sure to be literate! I know this was in the above rules, but it's especially important for employees to set a good example. So put "Good Example." as your P.M. subject instead.

arrow Be friendly and respectful to customers at all times. Try to answer their posts first. If a customer is disrespecting the rules, and disrespecting you, calmly ask them to leave. If they don’t, ignore them and I will delete their posts.

arrow Try to make sure that people have something to do or something to talk about! If there are five people in the bar, and nobody is talking, start a conversation with someone. Invite others to join in. Try to make sure that nobody is left out.

arrow Post at least once a day if possible, and try to be in the bar when you’re on Gaia, so there’s always somebody online.

arrow Try to post as much as possible, even when there’s nobody else there. The more posts there are, the more it’ll be on the front page of Gaia Commerce. Remember though – no BUMPing.

arrow For entertainers - make sure you post explaining that you're setting up the stage before you perform, and perform in as much detail as possible. For singers, please post a link to the song (Youtube, for example) and then post the lyrics with each verse in a seperate post. Ask for an example if you aren't sure.

Namen walked up to the door of the bar, and hung a little "OPEN" sign on it.

"I hope it never closes!" she said happily.

She walked into the bar and poured out lots of glasses of different drinks, then put them on trays all over the bar. Taking a glass of Coke, she sat down and waited for people to enter.

Xi quietly entered, not wanting to be seen. She sat down at one of the chairs by the bar and ordered the strongest beer they had. Her tail was hanging off the chair, wagging as she awaited her drink.

Namen saw the girl coming in, and smiled at her. She picked up a glass of beer then brought it to her.

"Welcome," she said brightly. "Here's your drink."

Xi smiled as she took her drink. She took a sip from it and put it back on the table. "Work is pretty slow today, huh?"
