Setting

The bainbridge forest - old home of a forgotten race. A lush green forest , so thick that the only light are the thin shafts of sun that the trees allow. All around is foliage , moss and ferns . The air is sweet and smells of dew after a rain. If you walk a little further in you'll see the ruins of old bulidings , possible castles - but its so worn down no one will know. If you keep going further you'll see a bright opening - and hear a trickel of water. Pillers are scattered around this forest opening , bright with sunlight , and an old stone bridge leads over a steam and to a grassy patch. A small waterfall drains into it - but if you listen hard you'll hear the sounds of a larger one up the side of the mountain - if you care to treck upwards im sure you'll see it.

* the dusky colors of sunset light up the forest floor as they shine through the treetops - the dewy leaves catch the rays and reflect them , as it had just rained that morning. Aneria crouches underneith a low tree , one of the one sthat never reached its full height and is now dwarfted by the thick trunks of the pines . Slightly bored , she weaves dried straw that she found from the hills together , making a long band *
Grave swished his tail, trotting slowly through the trees, the fragile beams of light dancing on his hair and fur. His grey knapsack was slung over his shoulder, and he stepped carefully here, as the broken rubble became a more and more frequent sight, and the trees thinned a little; it was almost as if they parted in memory of the past. He sighed and took a peaceful, quiet breath before spreading out his knapsack for a small lunch of nutmeats he had harvested earlier.
*hearing a noise off to the west , she slowly stands up , lifting her hands over her head to tie up her hair with the woven band. While doing this she hits a huge leave filled with water , soaking her face and the front of her shirt *

AW DAMMIIITT !

*her cry rings through the forest ,and now with all stealth gone , she figures whoever else is here will know they're not alone at this point *'

( EEHEE SULF YOU DIDNT HAVE FIRST POST biggrin , and aki )
His ears pricked forward alarmedly. Quietly, Grave sneaked forward, settling down just close enough to be able to make out another one of his kind through the dark trees. Listening, and he watched her weave with a curiosity full of wonder. He edged forward, comming up slowly to offer a hankerchief.

"Are you alright?"
(AHH THE CATS ON ME ..EW CAT FUR IN MY MOUTH )

* her eyes widened at the figure infront if her , apperently he was closer then she thought. she realized that she was looking at him with a confused look on her face for a bit too long. She frowned and eventually took the hankerchif from him - drying the water off of her face *

..thanks , im fine. I just got surprised , thats all.

* she holds the hankerchief back to him , her damp hair still stuck to her forhead *
[omg i hate it when that happens! ]

Grave smiled, holding back a grin. He swished his tail and pawed at the dirt restlessly as it got darker and more and more night bugs started buzzing about. He paused, and in an attempt to avoid awkward silence, blabbered something barely coherent.

"..Uh.. would you ... like to eat something ? Notthatyouhaveto, or anything, if you already ate, I'd understand, I mean, its late and most things have already eaten something by now, and I just thought it'd be polite to offer..-- "

He realized he was being an idiot.

Guinevere's head was tilted to the sky, her deep sapphire stone eyes studying the weather conditions. Her breath was taken away by the majestic sight of the swirling clouds, the dying light of the sun that splashed them with colour. The oranges, reds, and bright purples played, painting a picture one could only call perfect. There was a slight breeze that grew as it darkened, and a silence that filled the night. She stretched her legs, ready to head home, when she picked up the scent of another. She was wary at first, unsure who the stranger was. She was cautious, her hooves barely leaving a whisper of a trace on the lush foliage that littered the ground.

"I just though it'd be polite to offer..--" Guinevere made her presence known at this awkward lull in the conversation, hoping to save the stranger any further embarrassment. "Hello. I was just passing by and heard you two. I hope you do not mind if I intrude. I was just wondering where you came from. It is not often that one sees strangers in this place." Ripples shone in her eyes, lacing the sapphire with silver.
[YAY IBBYS HERE OMFG ITS A PARTY]

Grave started at Guinevere's entrance, having been completely distracted with trying to make himself not look like a moron, and having not detected her nearby, he felt a little embarrassed. He glanced at Aneria again, before focusing on Guinevere and introducing himself.

"My name is Grave. I come from the far side of the mountain." He pawed at the dirt again and clicked his fingernails uneasily. It wasn't often that he met another of his kind, let alone two.

Hells yes. Anything with ibbEH is a par-TAY!

She nodded, her mane cascading like a waterfall at the movement. "I am honoured to make your acquaintance. I am called Guinevere. This is my home. Or rather, this area is what I find familiar." She bowed to the lady, waiting for a response. When no immediate one came, she turned back to Grave. "What brings you here then?" There was no malice in her words, nothing to give an edge. It was only a careful curiosity, necessary for her survival. No one roamed her home without her consent.
"I travel into the forest at the height of each moon cycle to collect fruits to dry and store. The full moon makes it easy to travel back if night falls. I don't usually venture this far, but the birds are plentiful here this time of year and there are fewer fruits because of it." He laughed lightly, reaching back to tuck the hankerchief back into his knapsack. He looked skyward. "It's getting late.."

Guinevere's eyes travelled upwards, tracing the line of the moon. The stars were gorgeous, each a brilliant white dot, like a diamond amidst the coal in a mine. It was hard to image that each little pinprick was a world millions of years ago, the light only now gracing their eyes with such delight at their mystery. Rarely do people think about how each world is different, the landscape, atmosphere, and the potential for life behind each blinking star. Star was so generic to Guinevere. Mystery was a better word.

"If it does not hinder your cause, I can offer you some shelter for the night."
[askdjgf I gotta gooo wahh D; ;;; ]

"I would be much obliged." He flicked his tail and bowed his head politely in thanks, tightening his knapsack to his waist as if to reassure himself that it was still there. Grave felt out of place here, and he was aware of that when he accepted Guinevere's offer, but it would have been rude to refuse, and it would feel nice to rest before the journey home..

She smiled at him, a soft, sweet and innocent line on her beautiful face. This would surely be an oppertunity that would not be wasted. Guinevere turned to the lady again, and spoke. "The offer is extended to you as well."

* untill now aneria had listened to the conversation with little to no intrest - if she found anything amuseing it was the babbling of the male called 'grave '. For the moment she frowned at the fact that she now had to contribute , but replaced it quickly with a forced smile. The female was trying to be nice she realized , but didnt know what kind of awkward silence she was going to get herself into if she ever tried to start up a conversation with aneria - *

..a place to stay would be alright...

* she crossed her arms under her chest and looked to the right , glanceing at 'grave' - this was as close to a ' yes please - thank you ' that she could ever muster . She could have found a place on her own but her hair was still damp and was giveing her the chills *
