March 28th, 2008 ~ Hitsu here. I've put a thread revamp off for far too long, but I'm going to try to get things organized and the like within the next day or two. This will include a revamp of the owners' list, which will hopefully make things a little easier on everyone. Other changes will happen along the way, just as I run across each post individually, really. XD

March 28th, 2008 ~ We're a tad late in spring celebration, but as far as I'm concerned it still feels like winter here in Ohio. D; That aside, there will be four pets up for grabs tomorrow evening. Be sure to stop by, grab a ticket, you just might end up with a new pet of your own!

December 14th, 2007 ~ We've got a winter event going on here in the main thread! Scroll down to post 7 to see what pets can be won! =3 The ending date is yet to be decided, but it will run until at least New Year's day. So, you've got plenty of time to hang out and have fun.

April 13th, 2007 ~ Well we have hired Ran-Ran-Chan as the newest artist to the shop! Welcome Ran, and in celebration Ran has created a siren to be auctioned off, we hope you like it and please stick around and chat Click here to go to the auction.

December 2nd, 2006 ~ Well, it appears the SS penguins are here! to order them check out the events section in the thread. Soon we will be moving it to a new thread along with some...other, holiday goodies

November 2nd, 2006 ~ Hitsu once again! I finally got all of the pets on their new certs without too much trouble, but it took a lot of time. Some had to be cropped due to me losing several battles with the background eraser tool. Anyway, if anyone has any corrections for me, don't hesitate to say the word. Some things might have gotten mixed up in the moving, or I might have made a typo somewhere.

October 26th, 2006 ~ Wonderful news! The grand opening of the shop is finally here! While we are still working on certing some of the pets hopefully we should have this done soon. However the contest is over and welcome Miro-Sakai as the shops new colorist!

October 26th, 2006 ~ Hitsu here! I've finally got the owner's list up to date. That is, up to the point that I can. I will get to certing them all ASAP, and all of the old owners will most likely be getting PMs from the mule linking them to the new shop and giving them their new cert. Please forgive me if this takes a little while, there are over seventy-five pets to deal with after all!

October 24th, 2006 ~ Thanks to a decision made between Lady Vincira and the owners here at the PSoH, we now have complete ownership over the art for the pets on the owner's list of her old shop; Count D's Petshop. This is great news, as it means that everyone will still have their pets here. We will move the list over to this shop as soon as possible, as well as transfer all of the pets to the certs for this shop. Welcome to all of the previous owners, we hope to see you all around the thread upon our official opening.

September 25th 2006 ~ The shop's creation is coming into place! A contest for the banners and certs, as well as hiring a talented colorist is taking place. The thread may be found here.

Chinatown – a place of wonders, a place of mystery, desire…and dreams. Among the bustle of humanity that push and chatter on its narrow street under the brightly painted awnings one might easily miss the subtle stairs that lead down to this shop, illuminated just enough by the simple sign “Count D’s Pet Shop’
These simple stairs lead down to ornate doors…not terribly unusual in this exotic klatch of humanity. In truth, it all seems very ordinary until you push open those heavy wooden doors…

She…no…-he- smiles up at you, his face so beautiful as to transcend gender. His garb clearly Asiatic, though not a Kimono, it bears the elaborate designs woven into silk that a Kimono might have. His hands neatly folded in his lap as he smiles up at you. The Air holds a slight scent of delicate incense that tickles the corners of your mind with a haunting but un-place able familiarity.
He lifts a cup of delicate porcelain to his almost painted lips and takes a sip as you glance about with the strangest feeling that you are being watched…

Strange how…big it feels inside what seems like it should have been a tacky little dust filled shop, a clutter of cages in utter disorder offering some strange, yet mostly commonplace pets. This place though… it’s as though you have stepped into a dream…

A beaded curtain clatters… one of the animals perhaps? But no… if the owner was exotic…there are no words to describe the manner of people who emerge from the shadows to gaze at you. Their odd clothing and curious manners seem almost… but… no… people who act like animals? Animals who look like people? Such things don’t exist…

Or do they…

Once you pass for being entrusted with one of D's amazing animals you are required to sign a contract. This contract will have three clauses for you to follow; if these clauses are broken we cannot be held responsible for something that may happen to the pet and or its owner. These clauses will be posted for you in your' pets journal in the guild. Study it well, once you have passed the doors to the labyrinth that is the back of Count D's mystical shop will open. Thick clouds of sweet smelling incense smoke will billow out of the back. This incense smoke is your pet is enshrouded in is it's first stage.

After a little while the smoke will thin, and you will be able to make out a silhouette of your new pet, this smoke screened form is the second stage. The smoke should clear soon.

After the smoke has finally cleared you will be able to meet your pet eye to eye for the first time. Make a good impression and hopefully within a short amount of time the bond between owner and pet will form. Be sure to take very good care of them! This stage will be of the animal in its human-esque form, the way you and other shop patrons see them. This is also the final stage.

Animals range in just about every type of category you can think of. But some animals aren't in everyday life. Some textbooks will call them myths, or legends. Well of course Count D can bring them to you, but only on rare occasions. They aren’t the easiest to come by, and usually very difficult to obtain even when located. Mythical animals such as Kitsune's, Phoenix's, Unicorn's, ect. are only available on special occasions or through FULL customs.

There are some a little more endangered and rare animals such as Red Panda's or Bald Eagle's, as well as the every day common dog or cat. Whether these animals are on average special or common, Count D can usually get them without trouble. These types of animals are the ones you will see around much more often.

NOTE: Any pets on the list with an unknown adoption date, or a date prior to October 2006, were originally pets in Count D's Petshop. Said shop was owned by Lady Vincira, and all of the pet certs were later sold to us so that the owners would still have their pets even when she had closed up shop. Don't hesitate to let us know if you do not see your pet here, and please also provide us with the link to your pet. Also, due to the old certing method, some information was lost. This includes possible mix-ups with animals, or the absence of that info all together. If you would like your cert corrected, be it missing date or an error of any sort, please let us know.

So, you have decided to try your luck at obtaining a pet from Count D? Well you are well aware I am sure that the Count does not just give out his precious to just anyone. This is all the information you should need for trying to get a pet, good luck!

-20k- A flat sale pet. We will periodically have flat sales; these flat sales will be a role play prompt flat sale. D needs to make sure the pet is going to the best owner you must understand.

-200k- A semi custom pet. This means if a slot is open for one of the wonderful artists, then you can pay 200k and get a custom pet but restrictions apply that it can NOT be a legendary or other restricted animal and it can NOT be a cosplay pet.

-300k- A semi custom legendary pet. This is the same as the previous in the aspect that you get a fully custom pet but you are able to get a hold of a mystical, legendary or other restricted animal through this slot, still you are NOT able to get a cosplay.

-400k- A full custom slot. This is the top of the list, you are able to get a custom cosplay pet, your choice of either an un restricted animal or a restricted animal. There are only able to be ONE of each character no matter if they have different forms. ( example: normal Sora, Halloween Town Sora, Atlantica Sora, ect. ect. )

Now we know that some cosplay characters are desired by a lot of people. So we have come up with a way of being able to claim your character and still be able to have time to collect the money. Here is the deal, if you set up a serious quest thread for a cosplay pet from this shop, and show us a link, you will have six months from when that thread was made to collect those funds. Within those six months no one else will be able to get that cosplay character, but once the six months is up and you do not have the funds the character goes up for grabs and you cannot reserve them again for another month if by then no one has claimed said character.

A lot of these have been here for a long time, but unfortunately I have no idea how long. As of today, November 5th of 2008, in six months this list will be wiped clean again of whatever remains of this original list.

Ah yes, offspring. One of the most natural processes in life. However some animals may need special requirements and or care while going through the process of conceiving a child, this is why all breedings must pass through Count D before they are aloud to take place.

As of right now prices of breedings ar unknown and slots shall not be available for quite some time. So please be patient, after all the parents must need time to create a bond first as well correct?

Monthly Special Slot

This slot will be open once a month and only one time during that month until the first of the next month rolls around. The price for this slot will be three letters of the same month that it is open in. So say its May now, I'm taking May sealed letters. This is a semi-custom slot only, so that means no legendary animals and no cosplays. I hope this gives people more chances to get pets, good luck!
