Ok, I posted this in a few topics, but I think there are so many gaians who can't get in Towns, that I have to put it here for everyone to see.
The 100% fool-proof way to get to Towns is to open a new browser window (unfortunately I have information that this method only works for IE users) and paste this URL in the adress bar:

ADVANTAGES
1. You can use Towns
2. You can bookmark it for easy acces in the future
3. It's BIGGER
4. You can play full screen, which is awesome
5. No more trouble deleting al your temporary internet files => you won't have to load gaia all over again
NEEDED SOFTWARE
To have Towns working as it should, you need the latest shockwave plugin.

Several people have pointed out that this only lets them play once, or that it worked for a while and now the loading bar stops at 2/3. If this ever happens to you, you need to clear your cache once. If this solves the problem, YAY .If not, sorry but there's nothing else I can think of.
HOW TO CLEAR YOUR CACHE
a)The easy and fast way (you will lose all temporary internet files)
In your IE browser window, open the Tools menu -> Internet Options -> Delete filles. You're done!
b)Advanced (you only delete the towns temporary files so everything else remains untouched)
Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings -> View files.
It was easy so far, now you have your temporary internet files folder open in the detailed view mode which is going to be very helpful (if it's not in detail, just right-click the screen and choose View ->Details). All we have to do is delete all the files related to Gaia Towns so that they can be reloaded and your game will hopefully work.
But there are sooooo many files How do you know what to delete? Easy Sort the files by the internet adress and scroll down until you see http://graphics.gaiaonline.com/images/towns/[something].
All you have to do now is select all files that begin with that internet adress and delete them. The next time you enter towns, everything will be redownloaded to your temporary internet files folder.
