STORY:
After the 50 Year War, Ivalice found a peacful time. But King Olmdolia Atkascha soon fell ill and died, and the prince that succeded him was only 2 years old. So the Queen's Elder Brother Larg was chosen to rule in his stead as his guardian. But fearing a tyranical rule from the King, Parliment ousted Larg and instead appointed the King's cousin Goltana as the guardian. This soon erupted into a battle later called the Lion War.
In enters Ramza. One of the prestigious Boulve family. His older brothers and father are/were respected and revered generals. When his father Balbanes died due a mysterious illness, in his last wish, Ramza was accepted into the military academy along with Delita Hyral; a childhood friend of Ramza's. While not of noble desent, Delita and his sister Teta were taken in by the Boulve's when their parents died in the 50 year war.
After graduating and becoming cadets for the knights, Ramza and Delita fought against the Death Corps; a large group of peasent knights that were rebelling against the throne for getting no reckognition of their services in the 50 year war. When an tragedy occured, it was thought that Delita had died. Ramza left for a year and became a mercenary under Gaff Gafgarion. They were supposed to escort Princess Ovelia back to Igros Castle in Larg's section of Ivalice. Goltana's knights attacked them. Ramza, Gafgarion, and the princess's guards fended them off, but Ovelia was missing. Ramza saw a man carry her off on a chocobo. It was Delita. What was he planning? Why was he siding with Goltona? It was clear that he wasn't acting alone, but what were his motives? Who was leading them? Was someone or something manipulating the start of a war?
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1.) I tried to simplify this as much as possible. You would need a PhD to understand the complete story to this game.
2.) If you wish, I will PM you a list of skills and abilities for each job if the generalization wasn't good enough for you.
3.) Anyone that picks the "Summoner" job will get a PM containing the list of summons.
4.) If you have a physical attacking job like knight or lancer, your magic will be weak if you pick a mage job for your secondary, and vise versa
5.) Zodiac determine's your compatability to certian people. If you have a compatable zodiac, you could grow to be good friends, or even fall in love with that person. And vise versa for a incompatable zodiac. If you don't know your Zodiac compatability, just PM me and I'll send the details.

Chemist Skill: Item- Manage and use potions and remedies to heal the party.
Weapons: Daggers, Guns
Abilities: Can toss items to allies and fix weapons and armor.
Knight Skill: Battle Skill- Can use powerful blows to shatter opponent's weapons and/or armor.
Weapons: Sword, Knight Sword (Sronger but larger and heavier than regular sword. Can use shields.
Abilities: Can block attacks better and can wear heavy armor
Archer Skill: Charge- Can concentrate a more powerful blow.
Weapons: Bows, Crossbows, can use Shields with crossbow
Abilities: Good jumping capabilities, can block incoming arrows with their own, good speed.
Monk Skill: Punch Art- use various Martial Arts to perform attacks.
Weapons: None (Use bare hands)
Abilities: Can heal by working with preasure points, heal self fast, can counter blows.
Priest Skill: White Magic- Healing and protective spells.
Weapons: Staffs
Abilities: Not hurt by magic very easily
Wizard Skill: Black Magic- Uses attack spells drawn from the elements.
Weapons: Rods
Abilities: When hit with magic, can sometimes counter the spell.
Time Mage Skill: Time Magic- Can slightly control the workings of time and space.
Weapons: Staffs
Abilities: Can cast spells quicker than other mage jobs, can teleport short distances and float a little.
Summoner Skill: Summon: Summons various creatures to help fight.
Weapons: Rods, Staffs
Abilities: Can control the actions of what he/she summoned.
Thief Skill: Steal- Steals things from the enemy.
Weapons: Daggers
Abilities: Can sometimes charm enemy into helping them (Never permanent), Good movement, can catch things thrown at them.
Mediator Skill: Talk Skill- Can talk to enemy for negotiation terms or threaten them, can give encouragement to allies.
Weapons: Daggers, Guns
Abilities: Can sometimes talk enemy into joining their side (Rarely.), Can tame animals.
Oracle Skill: Yin-Yang Magic: Can cast spells that induce ailments like blindness or sleep (Temporary and curable), or mess with certian emotions such as fear, rage, or confusion.
Weapons: Staffs, Rods, Books, Sticks.
Abilities: Higher defense than other mages, not affected much by weather changes.
Geomancer Skill: Elemental- Uses the power of the earth to attack.
Weapons: Swords, Axes, can use Shields with swords.
Abilites: Can move on any terrain and as if it was flat land, can walk on lava.
Lancer Skill: Jump- Can jump very high and attack from above.
Weapons: Spears
Abilites: Can jump any height and land safely, Can wear heavy armor.
Samurai Skill: Draw Out- Can unleash spirits and energy to attack through a katana.
Weapons: Katana
Abilites: Can walk on water, holds weapon with both hands.
Ninja Skill: Throw- Can throw shuriken, magic elemental balls, and weapons.
Weapons: Ninja swords (Smaller than normal swords), Daggers, Maces
Abilites: Can move through water easily, can hide in shadows, can hold a weapon in each hand.
Calculator Skill: Math Skill- Uses mathematical calculations to determine targets.
Weapons: Books, Sticks
Abilities: Magic is slow to calculate but always hits target, can distribute magic attack or healing evenly to all allies or enemies though it reduces the power of it.
Bard (Male only) Skill: Sing- Uses songs to help allies. (Slight healing, protection, encance magic and attacks, etc.)
Weapons: Harps
Abilities: Excelent movement, can levitate for short periods of time.
Dancer (Female only) Skill: Dance- Uses dances to confuse, distract, or even hurt the enemy.
