The Bleeding Iris Tavern
Layout
Here is where you will discover the layout of the Tavern. Most facilities outdoors are natural, so the management isn't to blame for any
accidents that occur. We can't control the, uh, temperature of the water for example and kick out any resident monsters that may have set up home at the bottom of the lake. So just be aware of that while swimming.
*
Hot spring - This is located a ways away from both the lake and garden, situated somewhere between and nestled amongst the woods. It is in a basin of rocks, where the water is piping hot and perfect for social interactions.
To shield it from any weather, there is a form of wooden gozebo above, and also some steps leading up to an annex building, which is currently candle-lit and can be used for private conversations.
*
Lake - This is located in the grounds of the Tavern, as is the hot spring and gardens. It is the furthest away from the Tavern than any other facility yet is clearly seen through the trees from both the front path and gardens. Watch out for any wild demons that like praying on swimmers, no matter what the race.
Swimming (and skinny-dipping allowed.)
*
Gardens - When you leave the Tavern through the backgarden, you automatically enter the gardens. These include a Secret Garden - which will take you a while to discover and a while to find your way back out, a labyrinth - or, as you would say, a maze; a faerie garden - where, yes, real faeries do live amongst their flowers, and finally the Garden of Faces.
The Garden of Faces is a mixture of exotic plants, statues and mannequins.
The management holds the right to reserve any compensation for those scared to death if said ornaments were to move.
*
Main floor - Set out like a cottage upon the inside, on the right side of the ground floor there is a large hearth and rug, surrounded by sofas. The bar is along the opposite wall, set into the corner, with wood pannelling and such. Bar stools are dotted all around this.
Beside every window there are seats and tables, and also there are mats in the far corner of the room for those who wish to sit down upon the floor and swap tales.
Lunch is served here for most species, excepting those with particular diets and vampires. Vampires will have to hunt for themselves and are welcome to bring any snacks with them - to share or not to share.
Please, if you do bring snacks, please let these be fictional and not actual Gaians, otherwise this will be taken as godmodding. Pets are allowed to be bitten and even drank from, but not to be killed.
*
Second floor - This area is mainly for staff and those intending to spend the night at the Tavern. Rooms are reserved for those who book, and are given to said people for the amount of nights they require.
Along the second floor corridor there are doors leading off into the rooms and at the end of the corridor there is a row of french windows, leading out into a balcony, from where you can see the gardens and hot springs. This is at the back of the Tavern and the stairwell is not far from this point.
All rooms have their own balconies. Each room can be double-bed if wished. This is only for people who wish to share and confirmation is from both Gaians.
Any serious fighting should take place in the woods.
Small brawls are accepted in the Tavern, provided it is hushed immediately and was a spur of the moment action, e.g. just one punch in the face. Any battles to the death should be taken in to the woods, where the blood will not stain are precious wood flooring.
