'Aces in red, and
Hearts in black
With a tongue of sharpened steel
The chips fall where they may
Pouring down on the Suicide King
Tongue-lashings and tells
Fighting through the smoke
The bright green, like grass
Blinds glazed eyes
As the spaded three drops.'

Good evening, and welcome to The Three Of Spades.

The bar room of this fine establishment seems to be large, but by no means vacuous. The first noticeable decor of this room may be the ceilings, which are higher than perhaps a normal bar's would be, are supported by thick, oak rafters. From wall to wall, the floor is a dark mahogany texture, the walls themselves a lighter hue, closer to beige. The bar itself is a deep brown, complimenting the wooden floors it rests upon. Breaking free from the confines of the room's wooden theme, the stools that line the bar shine with the unmistakeable gleam of metal, though are cushioned with a plush padding. Behind the bar is the ample and seemingly boundless amounts of alcohol, arranged in only a way the bartenders themselves can decipher.
Scattered around the room and lining the walls at times are wooden tables, small however in size, with two chairs at each, their cushions matching those of the bar stools, though these chairs conform with the rest of the room, unremarkably wooden. The lighting is neither dim nor bright, a comfortable balance, however, in between. A door off to the left of the bar, once opened, reveals a staircase of about a dozen or so steps, that end into a circular shaped room, a hallway leading out of the room, with doors lining all along the walls.
What seems to be the inn part of this setup, the room is decorated with a deep auburn carpet with the walls, however, the same hue as the room below it. The doors each have their own silver numbers on them, from the ones in the circular room, to the doors that line the hallway, all what must be, rooms of the inn.

Our resident barkeep is a slight girl by the name of Yukiko, she can basically fix you anything you'd like, but be sure not to mistreat her, as she's also part owner of the establishment.

The security here is in the form of a rather tempermental vampire by the name of Cipher.

He'll kick your a** if he isn't busy getting chewed out by Yukiko or Mizuki.

Rules:

1. No secks. You cyber, and bad things happen.

2. No pointless cursing (i.e. F*cking f*ck f*ck damn.)) By all means, curse, but not excessively.

3. No pointless fighting. But I mean, c'mon, this is a bar, if there are no drunken brawls something's going wrong. but don't just walk in and break a chair over someone's face.

4. No flaming. Anyone. For anything. We eat people like that.

5. Don't piss Orion or Inc off. It won't bode well as we are the owners.

6. You must be Semi-Lit to Lit. :: :: is acceptable, as long as you make it a worthwhile post.

7. Stick to basic Gaia TOS.

8. No GM'ing.

9. This may be a bar-type setting, but it is still an RP. As such put all OOC comments in brackets, or double paranthesis. ((Like so.))

Yukiko couldn't find the cranberry vodka. This was already a sign of bad things on the horizon. Of course the bar was new, and as such Yukiko hadn't quite had enough time to memorize the placement of each individual in the zoo of bottles. A soft clinking floated through the air, mild sloshing flowing just under it. She had already rimmed the cocktail glass in sugar, the tiny granules clinging to the edge of the crystal glass with the aid of a bit of cranberry juice. Another splash of the juice had gone into the glass, along with some lemon juice, now all she needed was the vodka.

"Ah... There you are." She said, her voice barely rising above the whisper of her belled sleeves against the numerous bottles blocking her prey. Pulling out the cranberry vodka Yukiko turned on barefeet, leaning her waist slightly against the bar as she shook and then strained the last ingredient into her cocktail. She tossed her head to the side, ebony strands intertwining with the sharp, electric blue. Orbs of that same vivid hue surveyed the glass as a pale, slender hand rose, lifting it in long fingers. Fingers which, incidentally were adept at coaxing music from any number of instruments.
"Having any trouble finding anything?" The gentle, yet slightly humour filled voice comes from the woman with fiery red locks that has just entered the room. The emerald orbs on her rounded face peer curiously at the woman behind the bar and she chuckles softly.

"I thought, because you'd be making most of those drinks, it would be nice of me to arrange the stuff. . " Mizuki crosses her arms over her chest, still watching the other woman as she leans against the bar, grinning.

The left corner of Yukiko's mouth rose ever so slightly.

"Kind of you, but our ways of organization have always been a bit different. I'll memorize all in time though, no worries."

The crooked smile remained in place on pale, rose lips.

"Sugared Rose." She said, naming the drink still balanced in fingertips that gave way to raven lacquered nails. "Would you like one? Or something different?"

Her voice never lifted above that soft whisper, but the sound managed to carry, floating through the air with the taste of frost.
Chuckling lightly in response, Mizuki inclines her head. "Sugared rose, you say? It sounds. . . Intriguing, to say the least? I suppose I'll let go of my inhibitions and try your concoction."

Ruffling her shoulder length hair, her fingers run through the locks with ease. Mizuki rests her elbow on the edge of the bar, resting her chin in her and as she watches quietly for a moment.

"This place. . I hope it gets off the ground alright, y'know?"

The right corner of Yukiko's mouth rose to match the left, and a full fledged grin flashed across her lips.

"It never takes much for me to persuade you to release your inhibitions." She grinned, teasing her friend. She turned, moving down the bar to fetch the other ingredients of the Sugared Rose and another drink. Barefeet paused momentarily on wooden floorboards as Yukiko's hands rushed to untangle the bit of lace from her skirt that had snagged somehow. The skirt itself was a bit of a fuss. A mass of lace that hung to a few inches above her knees, legs being covered by black and white striped stockings. After freeing herself Yukiko sloshed together the neccessary ingredients after she sugared the rim of the glass, and slid it down the bar expertly.

"Heads up." She said, in her usual tone.

Mizuki chuckles in response to Yukiko, shaking her head slightly, "Yes, I'm afraid my self control is reduced to futile efforts when ever I'm around you."

Reaching out her hand quickly as she speaks, Mizuki skillfully takes a hold of the glass, without it tipping in the slighest. Bringing it up to her crimson lips, she tilts the glass back, allowing the liquid to fill into her mouth. She sets the glass down gently, a curious look taking over her face.

"You know," Muzuki says quietly, as if pondering over the drink, "I think I like it."

Yukiko laughed softly, sliding across the floor to end up across the bar from her friend.

"Yes, yes. But now, down to business. I think we agreed earlier that I'll be running the bar, so I think that leaves you caring for the Inn aspect. Do you think we should think about hiring some security?"

As the words issued from her lips Yukiko's hands worked quickly, pulling out a drawer beneath the bar, reaching inside for a thick leather bound book, cover matching her nails in their midnight shade.
Mizuki nods, stretching her arms above her head, and she scooches herself onto a bar stool, "Yes, I'll be in control of the inn. . ." She lowers her arms at that point, stretching her legs over to let her feet rest on the barstool next to her.

"Security? Yes, I suppose we might need that. . . Wouldn't want to have to break up any drunken fighting all by myself." She grins, gesturing as if she were cracking her knuckles. She continues to grin, as if the idea truly amused her and she taps her fingers lightly on against her chin, pondering the idea.

Yukiko matched her friends grin with a softer version.

"Well you know I'd be happy to help break up any drunken fights..."

Silver flashed in the room as Yukiko slid a lethal looking blade out from her sleeve, the dagger looking perfectly at home twirled between pale fingers.

"If only you'd let me help."

She said with a wistful sigh, a bit of humour flickering across her expression. She slid the blade away effortlesly, and pulled out her book as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
Smirking slightly, though the look on her face is more mischevious than anything, Mizuki responds, "Oh, but you see, if you help split things up, there will be more blood shed and a possible missing liver or other extruding body parts. . Besides, I don't much mind being in the middle of two men."

The red hair on top of her head falls into her eyes as she laughs then, though it's a quiet laugh as she looks away, glancing around the bar.

Yukiko laughed, actually leaning over, eyes closed, wrapping her arms around her thin frame. Even as she laughed heartily, it was still quiet, soft. Yukiko didn't yell, nothing she ever said even rose to a typical speaking level.

Yukiko's eyes opened, bringing that vivid blue into sight. That was another oddity of Yukiko, no matter how she was feeling, none of that emotion seemed to be able to reach her eyes. They always stayed that same, cold blue. The giggles subsided, it just amused her so when Mizuki said such things so deadpan.

"You and I both, Mizuki, you and I both."

A large grin had spread across her mouth as her arms slid back across the bar, hand gripping her book tightly.
Tobias Bartlett, more commonly known as Cipher, finished straightening up his room. He had taken one of the spare rooms in the back area of the bar for his own private use. The area was off-limits for the customers, and even for almost all of the people that worked in the bar. He only let two people in there right now. His idea of straightening, though, was making sure all of his weapons were easily in reach. He had several swords hanging on the walls, a rack for his guns, a locker for the ammunition, and his closet had various explosives. Why he had all of this, he wasn't completely sure. If Yukiko ever found a bullet hole in her bar she'd probably try and bash his head in before trying to figure out if it was from one of his guns or not. That was because Cipher was the only security for the bar. not that he had officially been hired as such just yet. But there were people here that he'd rather not get hurt.

If someone was hurt in the bar. He was either the one that hurt them, or approved the small scuffle. He headed towards the door of his room and pushed the bangs from out of in front of his eyes. He didn't care much for how other people viewed his appearance. Black hair with red streaks running all through it, the characteristic black eyes his kind had, black cargo pants, black boots, a black dragon tattoo that craweld up his shoulder, and a skin-tight black tank top shirt completed his visible attire. What the people couldn't see were the numerous concealed daggers and automatic pistols he had on his person. Sure, a normal human wouldn't stand a chance against a Vampire. But he didn't just assume that everyone was a normal human. Vampires tend to die off quickly that way. And he liked his vampiric lifestyle.

He left his room and made his way to the main bar area, his boots making a soft thudding noise on the floor. It was the only sound he made as he walked up behind Yukiko and Mizuki. He announced his presence by simply leaning on the bar counter and looking at the two lady's.
The light, melodious laugh that Mizuki normally posesses slips past her lips, her head tilting back as she laughs for a moment, before the deep emerald orbs on her tilted face takes notice of room's newest arrival. "Speaking of men. . ."

Mizuki bites her bottom lip before said lips curve into a grin and she turns her body, around, the black leather of her pants noticeable for a second before she straightens her self, the bottom of her feet bearly touching the mahogany floor below her. She leans forward a bit, arms crossing as they rest on top of the bar. The silk fabric that covers Mizuki's torso shimmers a bit in the light, and she tilts her head to the side as she looks at Cipher.

"Finally come out of your room, I see?" Any other words, however, that were about to be released from Mizuki's mouth are stopped ubruptly as her elbow knocks into the drink that Yukiko had previously made for her. Jumping up, Mizuki mutters, but she is not quick enough as the glass spills it's contents, the liquid making an escape for the edge of the bar and then, with the last of it's momentum, pouring over onto the floor behind the bar.
