*Purrpurr wakes up in the morning to a tickling on her nose. She opens her large golden eyes to see a tiny little man sitting on face. Confused, she sits up and gently takes the fluttering creature in her hand*

Where did you come from?

*the little fairy flutters his feathered wings and points to gilded butterfly cage Purrpurr had hung her exotic flower bloom on*

You came from the flower!!

*he nods*

*smiles and rushes off to go show Kamiki*

*Purrpurr comes into Kamiki's room, excitedly*

Whats up, Purr?

Look, mom! The flower you bought me turned into this!

*Kamiki looks at the small creature Purrpurr is holding and comes over, leaning down. She brings herself so she is looking straight into the eyes of the little man*

Hello there! Nice to meet you! I'm Kamiki

*he smiles and waves*

*smiles* Do you have a name?

*he shakes his head*

We'll call you Rakuen, then? Do you like that?

*he nods*

Good! It means Paradise, you know?

*he perks*

Yup. You came from a flower called a 'Bird of Paradise'

*Rakuen seems to bounce on his heels alitte, smiling*

Ah, you like that, don't you?

*he nods vigourously*

*laughs* Well, I'm glad. Welcome to the family!

Dear Diary-

Rakuen had a great easter!! The egg Anya and Luca gave him turned into a cute little chickie, which of course thrilled him. And Aria gave him a beautiful green egg. I think green is becomming his favorite color!

He seemed quite taken by Luca. He kept babbling about how pretty he was ^^;; Oh boy, I can tell he's going to be a handful! But you can't deny Luca is the pretty one... and sparkly to boot! Shimmers, my Slyph, would have pounced him on sight!

Rakuen also seems to have a facination with birds. I guess it was fated to happen with a bloom called a "bird of paradise!" He's constantly asking questions and also stops and stares at any bird picture he sees! I think I'm going to surprise him with a pet bird. He'll flip ^_^

Speaking of surprises... Rakuen himself is up to something! He just gave me a large list of stuff he wants from the Feien HQ and he won't tell me why ^_^ We shall see, eh?

Dear Diary,

I've been neglecting my journals recently but on this hellish night, I can think of nothing else to do. I can't sleep, food holds no interest to me, and I cannot bear to wake any of my companions for they have been lucky enough to find sleep at last.

What to say ~ things have been hectic since Purrpurr was struck down with her condition. She's been deathly ill and no one knows exactly how to cure her. Rakuen has been... I dunno. He doesnt know how to handle it at all. It goes completely against his personality. He's so young, and never had to handle anything like this.

He's been quiet... not really depressed, tho I can see the worry in his eyes. He mostly keeps to himself and collects feathers, his new hobby.

I should take him out shopping. I owe him a pet of his own if I can find one of his fancy small enough.

Tomorrow is the day...the day we face Arkoth and hopefully bring an end to Purrpurr's illness. This gloom that has been hanging over my house has got to come to an end.

*Rakuen sits in his plant in the early morning light. Purrpurr is in bed, again, sicker this mornig than she was last night. Its like she's fading away, Raku thinks to himself, like a flower. But worse... flowers die quietly and with a whispering regret. Purrpurr is fading fast and fading hard... like someone is pulling off her petals one hour at a time.

He turns around and walks into his home. The newest feather he found this morning is a particuarly beautiful one, and runs his hands through the barbles. Its blue and white, like him, tho its a bit dirty and caked over with mud in several places. Perhaps why its host shed it. He goes over to his bowl of water and begins to clean it.

He hated this. Things weren't susposed to be this glum. Purrpurr was susposed to socialize... goto Fa'e headquarters and give him an excuse to see the Luca again. Kamiki didn't like to let him wander too far by himself... and he hated the fact that he wanted to go out and have fun while everyone else in the household was already in mourning for Purrpurr's apparantly pending demise.

It wasn't fair. What did he ever do cause this? It wasn't his fault Purrpurr was sick, why should he pay the price for it? As his thoughts raced his scrubbing of the feather became quite rigorous. He stops suddenly as his rapid scubbing action bends one of the delticate barbles. He stops and takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself. He gets a small shred of cloth and methodically begins to dry off the feather, his tiny hands weaving hooks back together. After a bit of time, the feather is back to a near-perfect condition. He smiles at his handiwork and ties the blue feather up on a stalk of his hanging plant that is his home. It makes him happy for a moment, and he sits down and watches it sway back and forth.

Dear Diary -

I took Rakuen to the beach yesterday - I honestly think he liked the escape. He had never seen the ocean before, and I must think that must be quite a humbling sight when you're less than 5 inches tall.

He didn't particuarly like the sand at all.. he was constantly chattering at it and brushing it off. However, we got to see the gulls - a new bird he had never seen before. He collected every gull feather he could find and is now working on getting them clean. His collection is coming along quite nice. He hangs them up in his plant like windchimes... it really creates an interesting look.

He also took a liking to the seashells. He collected a small horde of them, and is now arraging them in his "house" like they were some kind of comptemorary furniture.

I need to take him back to Feien HQ soon. I think he would open up more around other Feien. I've noticed he's hesitant to talk to non-Feien.

Nero had inherited his father's sharp ears and peered over his shoulder at the newcomer. "Hello!" he said, smiling. He raised his blue hand and waved slightly towards Rakuen.


Neko Girl
"Oooo, someone new!!" Tahki waved excitedly to the new blue feien. "Helloooo!" she called.


Kamiki]*Rakuen's face lights up as someone greets him, and he flies up, excitedly* "Hello!" he says and takes Nero's hand with his* Nice to meet you! I'm Rakuen" He's basically gushing... having been so bored cabined in at the Kamiki's home. Its not that Rakuen didn't care for Purrpurr, but her being on the verge of death made everyone else in the house act as if they were in mourning for her already...and such dismal emotions are not something this young fairy knows how to handle at all*

Nero blinked placidly and, with a warm smile, shook the feien's hand. "I'm Nero. It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Rakuen." Pulling his hand back, he executed another of his elegant bows.


Nekota-kun
Tosten had gotten distracted by who knows what and only now escaped his daze for the change of occurances. Oh, he didn't know this feien at all and gave some energetic waving to Rakuen.

"Hi! I'm Tosten and your hair is really cool!"


Neko Girl

"Hello!" he calls back. "I'm Rakuen!!!" He looks absolutely thrilled to see some other of the Feien

Tahki folded her hands behind her back, smiling. "I'm Tahki!" she said, her wings spreading slightly before settling back down. "Oh! Oooo! You have streaks in your hair like me and Nero, too!!"


Kamiki
*He bows awkardly to Nero, and smiles and waves to Tahki. He turns to Totsen and gives a dashing smile* THank you!! My name is Rakuen. It means 'paradise' *shining grin*


Puchiko
"I was named after an insane Roman emperor," Nero chirped helpfully.

Nearby, Arturo rolled his eyes. He wished Puchiko hadn't mentioned that fact.


Nekota-kun
"Paradise?" Tosten echoed wonderingly then smiled happily, seeming to be easily pleased. "I like that name! Mine's just from some book that Nekota liked, it doesn't have a cool meaning like that!"


Neko Girl
Tahki looked at the others, quite fascinated with the origins of their names. "Mine's...uh..." she said, thinking. What DID her name mean? ...Did it mean anything??

"I believe it means winter," Ares piped up, finally standing from her spot, but staying near Arturo. "I'm not sure how you managed to come up with that one, though."

"Winter? Oh! Hee hee...musta been something Neko said when I was still a bloom!"


Kamiki
*looks proud* My flower was called a "Bird of Paradise" so I'm named Rakuen. And I like birds, i think they are so pretty. SO many colors!


Kamiki
*Rakuen eyes drift back to Nero and he smiles again, almost giddily* That sounds interesting. You're.... very pretty...


Puchiko
Nero's smile widened as he laughed charmingly and bowed again, only slightly. "Thank you. So are you for that matter. Blue is a very flattering color for you." he replied honestly.


Kamiki
*Rakuen just seems to stand there for a moment, opening and closing his mouth a few times before the color starts to burn into his cheeks. For a moment you can't tell if it looks as if he's about to burst into laugher or burst into tears* Th-th-th-thank you! *he tries to give an another bow* You... you have blue...and red... like a bird momma showed me..an, ah... macaw I think... *ramble*


Nekota-kun
"I like colors." Tosten agreed happily, rustling his feathers. Though as he pondered it over he looked down a little and scrunched up his nose. "I don't think I like birds though. There's owls by my house, and when I try to go out at night they chas me! It's not nice at all! And during the day if I go to far away theres these other birds that try to grab me! But I'm too quick." Boast, preen.


Kamiki
Momma ordered me some paints and stuff so I can decorate my feathers. I collect feathers. I have a bunch, and momma took me to the beach the other day I saw some new birds. They were loud and noisey and momma wouldn't let me get close cuz she said they would eat me, but I got some of their feathers I found.


Puchiko
"Birds have feathers," Nero corrected gently, twitching his strange new wings slightly. "But it is kind of you to say."

Sighing, Arturo kissed Ares again softly and brushed a thumb down her cheek. "I'm sorry love, but I think Nero and I should be heading home now. We have much to talk about. Come by and visit us later, hmm?" He smiled and, with another quick kiss, turned to Nero. "Nero! Come on. We're going to head home."

Nero pouted, reluctant to leave his newfound friends. "I'm sorry, but I need to go," he apologized. Giving another quick bow, he moved towards his father, who took his hand gently. Soon both of them had dived from the counter and were out of the shop.

*Rakuen's facefaults as Nero says he has to go* Oh...okay. *he waves* It was nice to meet you!!!


Nekota-kun
"Aww, bye Nero! You'll have to come by sometime - and remember to tell Gogol the stuff, you know!" He shouted after the feien, giving some energetic waving before bouncing around to Rakuen again.

"Um, you know... Theres feathers and stuff around my home too, cause, cause theres a lot of forest and birds. I can bring some to the shop for you, okay?" He beamed a cheerful smile, eager to help.

Really!? Wow, that would be really nice of you!! I think feathers are very pretty. Even if they are really dirty and broken I'm really good at cleaning them and making them look brand new!


Nekota-kun
Tosten grinned cheerfully now. "Then I'll be sure to gather as many as I can find, and I'll bring them here! And, um... in case I'm not around I'll put them ... there!"

He turned and pointed to a decided shelf, looking to Rakuen. "So when you next come, check there okay? Everytime I find some that will be, like, the feather spot!"

*Rakuen's eyes look as wide as saucers and he bounces on his heels slightly* Wow! I can't wait!!! That is so cool of you! Thank you so much... *claps his hands excitedly*


Nekota-kun
Rakuen's excitement only made Tosten excited to, and he decided that first thing tomorrow morning he would go feather hunting around the keep. "Heehee, it's no big deal!" He was trying to be modest but just came off rather goofy and satisfied, scratching at the back of his head, through hair that showed dull traces of multiple coloring from his painting havoc. "Maybe we can paint together sometime too! I love to paint!"


Neko Girl
Tahki looked between the two boys, listening to their conversation, not really wanting to interrupt. However, her ears twitched at the mention of paint. "Hmmm?? Can I paint, too??" she asked.


Kamiki
I would love to paint with you!!! I bet you're really good!!

He looks to Tahki and smiles. YEs! We can all paint together! Make a big colorful mess!! *he laughs, in a much better mood meeting new friends*


Unfortunately, I had to pull Rakuen away from the painting and take him home at this point. crying

Dear Diary-

The day approaches were I will join Purrpurr, Mordath, Morion, and Sabin to confront Arkoth and try to save Purrpurr. I took Rakuen to HQ yesterday in hopes to lift his spirits.

He met several new Feien and I can tell he's feeling a lot better! He's talked to me more this past day than he has ... probably ever. Personally, I think he's got a crush on one of the Feien he met ^_~ Its quite cute!

David walks up to Kamiki's door, Hikari perched on his head "Why are we here? More shopping? Diamonds and Pearls? Or maybe the secret on becoming an Angel! SQUEEE!"

David chuckles a little "No, we are here to meet another feien that lives with a friend of mine."

Hikari pouts a little "Oh, I guess that is okay. Is it a cute boy?"

David chuckles, and knocks on the door "You'll see"

*upon hearing the word "feien," a small blue fairy peeks his head around the corner, looking at whats going on*

David smiles, and pulls Kamiki into a hug "Its good to see you as well Kamiki." He looks around, and drops his voice to a wisper "Is purr purr any better or worse?"

Hikari, on the other hand, flits off of his head as soon as she sees the little blue feien peek around the corner, flitting over to him. "Hello there. Mmmm. You are the cute one, arn't you? My name is Hikari. I'm going to be an angel one day!"

David face palms "I just had to show her I'm gonna be an Angel. Sigh. Now i have to find a way to make her a halo."
