This latest redesign is thoroughly unpleasent. I also do not like the fact that this site is moving away from the Fantasy aspects that drew me here in the first place.

I say no to it, and I'm saying it with my wallet. I have donated steadily and generously in the past and that will halt. I would leave this site altogether, if not for the fact that I have made many friends here and I cherish their company.

My gripes are the same that everyone else has been posting. Too white, hurts the eyes and looks unfinished. Avatars are too small. The rediculous picture and tagline in the corner of every page. Navigation is much more inconvienent. Too "serile", the cuteness is gone. The steady phasing out of themes that drew me here (anime, fantasy).

I appreciate the work that has been put into the site, but so things are left well enough alone.

I understand that, but there are many of us that are older and donate quite a bit. I've donated over $150 this year alone. That's all they'll be getting from me until something is done.

I'm not going to whine "change it all back", but I would like some of the complaints addressed.

I think it's a bit stupid to not donate to Gaia just because of a layout change. It's the still same site, but with a different look. It's not like the whole point of Gaia changed to a summer beach party just because there's a picture of one or something. :/ Though it may not be the most favorable layout by nearly anyone's means, it's just a layout.

I'm not telling you to donate, so don't say that, and I'm also not demeaning your opinions. I'm just stating that the site hasn't changed just because the layout has. 3nodding

i'm kidding. whee and i agree with you. first they phased out the fantasy/medieval feel of gaia, now they phased out the anime feel. i'm kinda disappionted.

I have to agree with the thread creator. I donate almost every month, but now I will no longer donate. Why should I? I've bascially been paying the Devs to keep this site running and make it enjoyable. If I don't enjoy it, I'm not going to pay for it.

I completely agree with you, Jaeger. This layout is disgusting unfinished, etc. I have placed my suggestions on what needs to be fixed as well, so I won't repeat them yet again. But the majority of what I said was covered by your first post.

You just hit the nail on the head. I donate to show my appreciation for an enjoyable online experience. I no longer enjoy the experience, and find it cumbersome and downright annoying.

People complain about big name actors and musicians making tons of money, and the reason they have that money is that the consumer is willing to give it to them. My willingness is now gone.

Yes, the site HAS changed. The feel of the site has changed, the target audience of the site has chaned, and the POINT of the site has changed. What was once an "anime roleplaying community" is now... a hang out site. It's changed a whole lot.

Thank you. Again, I'm not asking for everything to be changed back. I have no problem with the site evolving, but when there's this much of a backlash something must be done. To be perfectly honest I loved the very FIRST layout and would like to see it return, but I know that's not going to happen and it would be unreasonable for me to demand it.
