Do you think anarchy would help the world of destory it? Do you think society would still funtion or die? Please tell me what you think 3nodding
I think Communism is the way to go.
Asking if anarchy is a good idea is like asking if you'd like me to shoot you in the face is a good idea. Who's going to arrest me after all the detectives and police are gone?

Anarchy =/= chaos. Random violence is a radically non-anarchist action to take -- and an anarchist society would neither be completely disorganized nor without means of collective self-defense.

Wouldn't anything 'collective' be going against the idea of anarchy?

No, it's not.
Do you think people would go around shooting people just because they can? I don't think that...though I may be wrong. If anarchy abolished money then would it abolish greed? I do like the idea of communism, its awesome in theory but it ends in a dictatorship to often...but if it didn't end in a dictatorship so often I would be all for it.
Anybody who believes anarchy is a good idea must think we all live in Candyland. If you live in an anarchist society, there is no government or organized rule. If I shoot your dog and crap on your welcome mat, unless you are stronger or have more advanced weapons than I do, you can't do a blessed thing about it.

If one did manage to demolish all forms of organized rule, do you know what would happen? People would get tired of being pillaged, raped, and murdered, and they'd do something quite remarkable.

They'd get together and come up with a primitive form of organized rule, which would eventually evolve in to government!

We are human beings. The idea that we can all sit around and play nice and share all the time is idealistic, not to mention idiotic. There are crazy people. There are malicious people. There are people who take perverse pleasure in a nice round of mailbox baseball. As I said before, this isn't Candyland or Mr. Rodger's neighborhood. Anarchy would never, ever work.

I realize that people would eventually recreate a government. But maybe people aren't as mean as you seem to think they are.

Only if you go by the popular straw-man image of anarchy. Actual anarchism follows the etymological sense of the term -- "against rulers", or, by extension, opposition to hierarchy and domination.

Um...maybe you need to become a bit more familiar with what anarchists propose before you attack what you perceive to be their position -- because what you're attacking here isn't what anarchists propose. Anarchism is the rejection of hierarchy and domination, not organization per se (in most cases).

I like it to, but it's not Communism that ends in dictatorship, any revolution has a chance to end in dictatorship and any Government has a chance to become a dictatorship. The Soviet Union was what I (to take from Comrade Gallenger here) not a Communist nation because of the Dictatorship or if at all barely passing for a Socialist State.

Either way we Communists and Anarchists share so much in common and our outcomes are very alike a Stateless society.

You seriously believe that if only we had no government, all mental illness, cruelty, and malice will just evaporate into thin air? I don't think that some people are "mean". I KNOW many people are a hell of a lot more than "mean". It doesn't matter how many nice, wonderful people there are on this planet. It doesn't cancel out the fact that we have psychopaths and rapists and murderers whom we need to be protected from and who need to be punished for their crimes.

No matter what you do, there will always be some form of hierarchy and plenty of domination. In this case, if you abolish the government (and along with it, the justice system), the people who will dominate will be the criminals. Eventually, people will get sick of it and start practicing some vigilante justice and band together. As with every imaginable situation in which a group of humans are involved, leaders emerge, as do laws or rules.

If I tell someone that they can't go around murdering people and I enforce that rule, that is a form of domination. Frankly, that's not necessarily a terrible thing.

Anything can end in a dictatorship, even democracy can end in a dictatorship. Like in ancient greece they had a democracy then they liked what pisastratus (I know I spelled it wrong but I suck at spelling) said so much that he became a dictator. Has communism worked before or working now somewhere?
