Shiina is good, probably one of my favourite singers ever.
I love how her music is so unique and she can sing well in both Japanese and English.

I love the sound of Shiina Ringo's voice. The first song I heard that was performed Tsumi to Batsu. When she sings you can almost feel it down to your soul. Perhaps she is lesser known among American J-pop/rock fans. However, that does not make her obsolete.

I've only heard two of her songs Gibusu and Meisai and they're pretty good. Wish I could hear more of Ringo's songs.

I heart Ringo Shiina! xd Even though i've only got her 'Shousou Strip' album (D'oh) ...I need to hear more songs ;.; Thing is, none of my friends like her...I'm like the only fan around here sweatdrop But I do love the way she sings! I admit I wasn't too keen on the way she sang at first, but it grew on me xp I especially love the way she ends her songs with her little "La la~ Ah~ Tara~"s and stuff (Or did I make no sense what-so-ever there? O_o) My fave songs by her is 'Gibbs', 'Yami ni furu Ame', 'Identity', 'Sakana' and 'Honshou' 3nodding

Just get what you can, because she's thoroughly awesome. Get her music videos if you can, too.

Some of my favorites are:
Honnou (If you get only one video of hers, get this one)
Tsumi to Batsu
Kuki
Koko de KISS Shite
Haiiro no hitomi

You know what I like about her? The fact that she's completely BADASS live. Has anyone seen that PV for Okonomide where she's dressed up as a nighclub singer with that orchestra behind her? I always seem to forget that she's singing that live and that it's not recorded. Glad to see she's back.

Yey, I love Shiina Ringo. It's hard to find a genuine talented female singer/songwriter in musuic, let alone one who's so clever and individual as Shiina. I have her first album...which I've forgotten the name of right this very moment... and it's great. My fave song of hers is Toki Ga Bousou Suru.

I can't classify her as j-pop nor j-rock, maybe a little of both. I love her alternative style. Her songs are different, and I like the use of all kinds of instruments in her music.

this thread is in desperate need of a bump.

i finally managed to trade my friend his (horribly neglected and undervalued) kzk cd for my extra copy of hyde's 666 album. i easily got the better part of the deal, despite it being the 1st edition version of 666. my friend is such a puuuuuunk for not appreciating kzk.

it's so... haunting. my favourite tracks are tied between shuukyou, souretsu, and odaiji ni, which is just so sweet. souretsu gets stuck in my head the most though i think... there's this eerily mesmerizing exotic flavour to it that just drills itself into your brain and won't leave...

i think i'll go listen to it again now. to be honest, i'm kinda glad my friend was such a punk, cuz otherwise i wouldn't have gotten the album for (relatively) free.

Every fan of music in general should own a copy of KZK because it is just musical genius.

My favorite tracks on that would be Shuukyou, Doppelganger, Yattsuke Shigoto or Kuki.

Souretsu still rocks my socks off. Then again, so does every song.

Anyway, I bought the KZK album recently and I splooged over it. heart That's love, baby.

btw, how can I burn the first track of it? It keeps messing up and it makes me mad.
