To all of those who I've met and made an impact~
Way back in January an eager new Gaian logged on for the first time in his Gaian history. He had simply called himself, MacNaughten. MacNaughten was an eager person who didn't let his "noob" status stop him from doing the things he had set out to do.
He noticed several Gaians with very intricate Avatars, pages, threads, and signatures. He enjoyed seeing them all, including the not-so-nice ones. He was always a stickler for the underdog(s).
It was that dedication that landed him the title "Charity owner-runner thingy". He held his head high in hopes that Gaians would come forth and receive the gold needed to create the avatars everyone wanted. He even created a guild to help a special select group of Gaians even further.
Gold was never an issue for MacNaughten. An avid donator since his "birth", he quickly made several donations and purchases for fellow Gaians, never asking for anything in return. Well, almost nothing. All he required was you to say, "Thanks Mac. That really helped me out you know." That was his ever and only requirement.
In March of 2006, MacNaughten established a better organized charity. One that could be utilized more as a general charity for Gaians of all kinds. Including "noobs" like himself. At only two months into his charity, he hit over 120 donations alone. Giving selflessly beforehand, he had donated an approximation of 3 million in Gaian gold and items. He only once quested for more pricey items for himself.
Upon acheiving his goal of 100+ donations, he had come accross some good and bad Gaians/ideas/rules and any and every thing else on this fantasic site. What he would remember most, however, were the great friends he had made along the way.
You are all great people, no matter what your driving force may be. Be it someone who aggressivly pursues his/her dream avatar, or someone who passively donates out of the kindness of their hearsts, you are truly a great people. Those who have made the best impression on MacNaughten will receive his email address, via PM so that the great friendships fostered here on Gaiaonline.com may continue.
