Death pushed her journal aside after completing her most recent entry, finding little point in bothering with the ink blotter; her swift strokes never left enough to bleed, and she had all the time in the world to allow the words to dry upon the paper. Glancing around the crammed library (which was actually quite large, save for her enormous wings, which always made spaces feel smaller than they actually were), she thought on all the knowledge held there, collected over years of escorting souls to their rightful place in the afterlife. So much knowledge, but so little mattered...
How could she of all creatures, so intelligent and knowledgeable, still be unhappy?
Unconsciously her hand moved to rest on that desk drawer that held the secret and answer; a card hidden to all eyes but hers, hidden away from the prying eyes beyond the tower walls. It had been there when she'd first traversed reality in order to arrive in this place, and unless something happened soon she was doomed to believe that it would be there whenever it was time to depart once more.
That card...that man was out there somewhere.
She only hoped to find him before she ended up escorting his soul to its final resting place. After all, knowledge is pointless if you cant even use it for your own personal gratification at one point or another.
My name is Sin, and I play Death in the Tarot Story. We have been filling many playable positions lately, and do intend to fill more; however, this is my personal quest to find a player for the Knight of Wands, who has been deemed as Death's vice. He was the only mortal who ever made Death regret who she was and what she did, and still does. As such, it was reasoned that when the Tarot Story began that I would be allowed to choose that one who played the Knight, and after nearly two years I have decided that it was time to do so.
The person who impresses me most with their skill and originality will receive the Knight of Wands' card, drawn with them in mind. ...and no, there is no price for this...your prize will be based on your entry alone.
Not how well your bag of gold jingles.
This contest will run from 00:00 PST June 11th until 23:59 PST July 3rd July 10th.
That's three weekends, a little more than three weeks; plenty of time to get an entry in I'd wager, even for the folk who have to work for a living.
Please note, I will be gone from the fifteenth until the eighteenth pending a funeral.
If you have any questions that need to be answered during this time, please ask Syrynx or Iris_virus...

Please, read everything before proceeding to attempt any kind of entry.
I realize it's all a bit wordy, however, your willingness to read it all is one step in proving yourself.
