Peanut dragons are small creatures, small enough that they could still sit in your hand when they're fully grown. They like to perch on any available surface on or near their favorite person, including shoulders, chair backs, and light fixtures. Their favorite thing to eat is peanuts; peanut shells also happen to be what they lay their eggs in after digging a hole through the shell and devouring one of the nuts. They are omnivorous, and will help to keep bugs out of your house, but do be careful if you leave food out for any reason; they're liable to try and eat it while your back is turned. Generally, they are cheerful and sociable little creatures. Each one has his or her own quirks, though, and some may end up being rude, antisocial, or even malicious.

Their growth cycle is as follows:



The peanuts that the eggs are in somehow take on the color of the babe within; this doesn't mean that gender is always decipherable, though. (I try to color at least the hatchling stage along with the peanut, so you shouldn't have to wait more than a few days for the hatchling to start interacting with)



Hatchlings have a growth spirt shortly after breaking free of their egg and eating the remainder of both it, the other nut in the shell, and often times the rest of the peanut shell. They only reach about the length of a thumb during that time, though; they remain rather fragile, and while they are curious, they are also easily frightened. Their wings, while well developed, are too small to support them in flight, and honestly the little ones don't have enough coordination to attempt flight yet in any case.



By the time they are old enough to join the juvenile classification, the little dragons may well have grown as long as a person's hand. They can flutter about now, their wings having started growing into their bodies, though flights sustained for any great length of time will tire them out. They're insatiably curious; they can and will get into anything they can find a way into. Take a good look before you close the fridge door to make sure they didn't find their way inside. They don't take long periods of exposure to cold very well. At this age they also start seeking out friends that aren't in their immediate "family", and sometimes start forming their own little social groups.



As adults, these dragons are usually between a hand and a half to two handspans from snout to tail, and they can fly freely and for great lengths of time with little effort. They have less of a tendency to get into everything in sight, but while some have grown out of it, others might be worse than they were when they were smaller. They can fall in love at this age, and breed; they won't reproduce if there isn't a sufficient supply of peanuts around, though. They like to go everywhere with their favorite person that they're allowed to go, and even a few places they shouldn't. They're attached for life, and good luck if you want to get rid of them. Not that it's likely you will.

I'm open to pet trades, but don't be offended if I won't accept one with you. I have particular tastes, and I won't take just anything. I might also simply be too busy for a trade at the time, and might be open to one later. I don't like to take months to do something for someone when they get their part for me done quickly, I'm just not like that. =3

How many can I own?
Next to all of 'em if you can manage it. xd As many as you want.

Do I have to RP?
Nope. It can get you free breedings and stuff, though.

What are the heart points you mentioned in the breeding section?
If you RP, or maybe just hang out a lot, I might decided to give you a heart by your name in the owner list. If you don't own a dragon, I'll put your name on my good list with a heart by it. Five heart can give you a free breeding, or you can exchange them for a dragon you won in a flatsale. More than that... well, we'll see. :B

Can they talk?
They mostly do little dragon-y chirps and other noises, but they are very smart... they can learn tricks and to mimic human speech, so I suppose they could learn to "talk" by the time they're adults. Probably wouldn't bother if their person wasn't around, though. And I wouldn't expect much beyond mimicry before they reach adulthood, and some will be better at it than others. This is very important as far as RP goes, and some dragons may come with limitations in this area.

When do they grow?
Basically... when I have time. Hatchlings will come in 3 days to a week, and they won't grow into juveniles until at least a week after that, and adults atleast a week and a half-two weeks after that. Don't expect them before then, but don't expect them right then either. I can get pretty busy offline and stuff, so unfortunately I can't guarantee precise times on growings.
