Edit: L0cke, Dri, and Ling have posted!! heart

I'd like to hear directly from each admin and dev that attended, what their thoughts are exactly of the Fanime Con 2K6.

The enthusiasm that has erupted throughout Gaia concerning all the new features that are going to be released and are in progress, has made many people wondering what it was like for the admins and devs to have talked to people attending the Gaia Panel and Socials.

I know that I am excited about the new Profile V2.0, new site layout, Word Bump game coming very soon along with the Battle Stage at the end of the year.

Admins and devs, what was your impression of Fanime Con and the users that attended those three days?

Since the majority of Gaians cannot attend these major events, we would like to hear from you what your impression was and what you learned from it.

What plans do you have, other than sell merchandise and discuss upcoming features, that could entertain many who might attend like perhaps a Gaia Band?! xD

Also, it would be great if some kind of live feed or even a later video release of the whole panel and social, so the vast population of Gaia can participate in some way in these major events.

I would like to hear from each of you an anecdote, a story, a simple picture would suffice too, of your experience there and how your work will be enhanced by this experience.

*leaves a large table full of sweets and a hankie for Ling, just in case* heart

I know it's the attendance that counts, but please don't leave us out of a major event. crying
Bringing this back to the first page so the admins and devs can write to us about their experiences at the Fanime Con 2K6. <3
I doubt they actuly will. They seem to have lost touch with the users as of late.

That's why I created this thread, so they can have an outlet and post something they are passionate about. biggrin

Moderators are the same as us, the everyday user. They just are elected by the admins to administer justice around the site.

The admins do post from time to time but lately they haven't so I thought it would be a good time for them to post now while the fever is high.

Have a little faith, they're probably busy but I know they'll find a little time to post in between coding, pixeling and eating that peanut butter and jam sandwich. biggrin
it'd be great if the convention was held at the east coast, (JACOB JAVITS IN NYC!!!) though.... crying i couldn't go to the west coast.

And i'd also like to hear how fanime con was... i've heard its great, but what really happened there? and what announcements or other new features were shown?

Well, they'll be in Baltimore at the Otakon in august, so you might want to be able to catch them there.

I think many would like to know those same questions you asked, from every admin and dev that presented their upcoming feature. It would be nice to hear what they have to say about Fanime Con. biggrin

I've been waiting over 5 months for them to stalk a t-shirt in my size. I lost faith along time ago. Mods are lucky, I wish I could be one.

from what i could see all the devs and admins had a great time at the con. for me, it was great to meet tons of new members, and all my old friends from past cons smile i got shot, hugged, fed cookies, photographed, glomped, tackled, lectured, interviewed, and much more so all in all, it was a very fun convention for me ^^ definitely looking forward to the rest of the cons and to fanime next year biggrin

i think cons always get me pumped up to come back and make some great items, work on the storyline, and help out on the site as much as i can. its a big reminder that behind every avatar is a unique person who is here to be a part of this fun community with us all ^w^
