A strong concentration of Japan's history is proudly preserved here- even
down to its marriage customs. Two young ladies, twin daughters of the
Crown Prince of Japan, the tennō heika (His Majesty the
Emperor), are given an ultimatum. They both
must marry, before they are eighteen years of age, so
that they might produce an heir to the famed Chrysanthemum Throne
of Japan.
Each is given servants and yen enough for the undertaking of finding a
husband, and are put under the care of the Emperor's trusted Servant,
Morimoto Asahi (whose words will be in bold). They are to live
away from the Imperial Palace and reside in Kyoto, for a full three
months. They are given royal suitors, and the option to choose their own.
All of the suitors will stay together, no matter which Princess they are
vying for, and at the end of the three months, each girl will choose a
husband for themselves.
The Emperor will then oversee their weddings, and hopefully all will end
well.

Bio: Descendant of the captain of the sekihotai, the false imperial army
that was used as scapegoats during the bakumatsu. Holds a hatred of the
current japanese government in his heart, but continues to go on with his
everyday life carrying a smile on his face and the japanese symbol for
bad on his back. He lives in shimabara, working on a rice farm and acting
as commander of their small defensive army. He has decided to travel to
Kyoto in hopes of becoming stronger, and realizing his hidden goals.

Bio: When he was younger his village was attacked by a group of
mysterious men. His parents fearing his life, hid him away in a secret
cellar in the floor and covered it up with the carpet. When the men came
to his house they seemed to want to know where the he was. When his
parents refused to tell them where he was the men slaughtered the enitre
village including his parents. To this day he wanders the world looking for
a job and the answers to his past as a warrior, fighting all those that try
and stop him from finding his parent's killers.

Bio: A samurai from long ago, a killer of men, the slayer of 1000 men at
the plains of Kirasugi. He is the one samurai to master the hidden arts of
the Pheonix. He cares for no one, and has no feelings for someone who
does not like to have fun. He is a free spirit. It may sound like he is a
Ronin, one difference, he is the last one of the Intengu Clan. The reason is
becuase he killed the rest of his family, or supposedly it was him. Later
on in his years he found out a man named Nobunaga Oda had killed his
family. He sought revenge and achived it, but at the cost of his girl, Miiru.
He now looks for a quiet life, and only to fight if there is a true cuase for
him too.

Bio: After killing his family he took over the kingdom and slaughtered every inncoent person that lived there, but unbeknownest to him his brother hiro survived his evil and trained under the skillful Kyo to get revenge. After being defeated, Kadaje made a deal to sell his soul to become the most dangerous and powerful demon emporer ever to be so that he could get his revenge on kyo and his little brother. He know seeks them in Kyoto and plans to take over the kindom so that he can do the same thing as he did with his own kingdom.

Nozomi wages her life for his sister Alora's past, as Alora
brings a new soul to the world in her womb- will this child be Good or Evil?
Powerful, or Normal? ((dundunDUUNNNN)) heh...
also, Souzo now travels to his people in Shimabara, alongside the King's
adjunct: Asahi. They've run into an entire army while traveling through the
forest... how will they keep from being squashed like bugs? Ashi has an
idea, but Souzo cannot trust him completely, right?

~Latent Dangers~

So it is settled! Nozomi chose Souzo, and Alora has her beloved Kyo (who's been off doing important things, of late ninja
...So it is the END of this glorious RP?! NEVER!! For now a battle wages
in Souzo's own hometown of Shimabara, and the newly engaged couple
must split so he can resolve the situation with the Emperor (who still needs
a name *ahem*). Will Nozomi and Alora sit idly by as their men go off
and be productive? I'm thinking not. Especially with a mass of caverns in
the rubble of an ancient city hidden deeep within the mountains of Kyoto.
Nozomi's been there once, and maybe the secrets of Alora's beginning
rest there?


~The Dangerous Cortesian~
Alora and Kyosuke are together at last! Kyo-kun's spent all the
money he had in buying a small home for the two of them, but Alora has
told him that it all rides on her sister's approval! Will there be a wedding?!

Also~ Another arrival!! Late-comer to the contest, Souzou-san is now vying
for Nozomi's hand as well. Is Hiro enough for her, or will she fall under the
peasent's spell, who's actually a murderer?!

~Alora's Powers~
The eldest twin turns out to be, not a twin at all, but an adopted daughter
to the Emperor!! Her sister Nozomi, knows nothing of this, even as Alora is
discovering untold magical abilites... she was even able to save her
highest ranking suitor, Kyo, from death at a demon's talons.
Also~ New arrival! Dark, a young peasent has chased Nozomi through the
woods, and now he's caught up--


A visiting warrior wanders into the gardens, wounded, and
literally lands on Nozomi while trying to climb over the garden's wall!
Enter Hiro, a man who did not come for the competition, so much as he
came just to meet with the Princesses, but what for? He also bears a
strange marking that both girls react strongly to; ...a tattoo of a golden
crown with jewels encrusted in it and two swords crossing through the
middle of the crown whose tips are surounded by a halo... What does
all of it mean?

Also, the wandering commoner Souzo meets a young slave in the red light
district in Kyoto. But he wants to free her, more than be 'serviced'. Will
they escape easily, in less than three pages?=^-^=

Stacks of suitcases rolled slowly up to the tall white palace, that was etched into the evening sky with an artesian's hand. Asahi, Alora, and Nozomi all ascended the front steps, and took in the enamoring view.

Asahi cleared his throat once more.
"Tomorrow I will introduce you to your suitors, and some may already be on their way." He pointed to a towering red structure beyond the royal gardens and their palace. Her eyes followed his hand and she grew silent.

Will there be so many people... she thought quietly to herself.

"Come on, Ladies. We must settle in."
They followed him into winding corridors and beyond gold statues and silk tapestries, heels clicking on the floor in an echoing melody.
