Bat Festival: Mark Your Calendars!
The 6th Annual Great Lakes Bat Festival will be held at Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana on August 11, 2007. The festival includes guest speakers, live animal programs, kid's activities, and environmental exhibits. The evening activities often include a live band,
family BBQ, and a scientific demonstration about research (actually netting local bats!). For more information,

Jan 6: My computer is back already! biggrin Wow! That was fast. So far it seem to work just fine. The HD was faulty and they had to replace it. Unfortunately, that means I have to put everything back on my computer. sad Good thing I backed everything up. Hopefully, I didn't lose anything critical. I think I would slump into a deep depression if I had lost my thesis.

Dec 27: My computer died! I have to send my computer back to the company for repairs and will not have internet access for awhile. gonk It's actually been dead for about a month now. That's why I haven't been on. On the up side, I finished my thesis and have lots more free time. Once my computer gets back, I should be able to spend much more time online. Thanks for understanding. Hope everyone had a nice holiday.

Sept 10: Due to my RL job, I will not be able to spend much, if any, time on Gaia this next month or so. Thanks for understanding.

Aug 10: Thanks to all of your generous donations, I got my family jewels!!!! xd

OK, I need to boost posts in here and give you guys something to do while my computer is being repaired, so I'm running a posting contest.

Goal: To be the person with the most posts for the month of January 2007.

Prize: 1000 gold

Details: Post whatever you want. Try a word game like the ones below if you are at a loss for stuff to say. Because I have to count all the posts, please help me out by putting your post number at the beginning of each post.

Word Game Idea 1: Post a word in

green. Begin the next word with the same letter as the last letter in the previous word. Keep the words in green so that they don't get mixed up with other posts.

Word Game Idea 2: Pick a theme and brainstorm words that are related. Just an example, list words related to horses. One word per post, so you can maximize your posts. Keep these words in indigo so they don't get mixed up with the other word game(s).
