Hello and Welcome!
This is a contest for flash-fiction, 400-1000 words, in some way inspired by or involving stained glass. There are 10 slots, and it ends when they fill up.
Prizes:
1st place: 1000
2nd place: 500
Submitting:
1. The entree fee is 100 for the first story and 50 for the second and third. Start a trade with me at the Gambino bank, preferably before you submit or soon after. Your fee must be in by the deadline. :domo:
2. Stories should be 400-1000 words. I'll be lenient (within reason) if you ask me first. If it's like 1010 or something, then it's absolutely fine.
3. You may post your stories if you wish, but I need a copy PMed to me.
4. The prompt/inspiration is stained glass, but you don't actually have to use it in your story. Non-fiction is fine. :3nod:
5. I'm accepting up to three stories per person.
6. Have fun!
Judging is based on:
1. Character: What can you do in this short space? Are the character(s)' actions believable and consistent?
2. Plot: It won't be complicated in this short of a story, but I do expect some kind of tension.
3. Cohesiveness and flow: Does it all fit together? Does it flow well? Are your sentences interesting and varied?
4. Images: How vivid are they? Do they paint a picture in my head?
5. Spelling/Grammar: It needs to be legible, and no chat speak. You have a better chance if I don't have to reassemble your sentences into standard English in my head while I read.
