DR. GREG HOUSE Dr. House is the head of the Diagnostic Medicine department at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. He's a brilliant doctor, but don't expect him to hold your hand or give you a lollipop. He believes in treating illnesses, not necessarily in treating patients because according to him, "everybody lies." He's anti-social, blunt, and terribly snarky at times, but you can't deny his abilities as a doctor. His rough exterior and unapproachable demeanor seems to be punctuated by the use of his cane, which is due to an infarction to his thigh muscles that basically caused muscle death. And because of the daily pain that he feels from this, he needs to constantly medicate himself with Vicodin.
DR. ALLISON CAMERON Dr. Cameron is one of three young doctors that Dr. House handpicked to be part of his team. She's beautiful and seemingly a bit vulnerable, but a great doctor with a good heart, so basically the complete opposite of House. The only female on the team, she holds her own againts the two other doctors and Dr. House himself. Despite their glaring differences, however, it's obvious that they both one thing in common-- they're both damaged.
By the end of Season 1, we had seen Cameron go through an emotional rollercoaster. After a disastrous first date with House, we saw that maybe Cameron was still coming to terms with her own issues. By the season finale, your heart went out to her (at least mine did) when she seemingly accepted the fact that House just wasn't ready to let go of his past as well.

After more than 600 performances, she went on to work as a writer and performer at the improvisational comedy theater The Brave New Workshop, which boasts such alumni as Louie Anderson, Peter Tolan and Al Franken. While with the Brave New Workshop, she also performed at the Chicago Improv Festival and the Big Stink Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas.
