Just for myself and Britain to be posting in, please :3. heart

Somewhat reluctantly, Seppa had come into the shop again...she didn't like it here, but it was somewhere, and somewhere with people she didn't know. And right now, that was a good thing. She didn't want to go home, or even to Iden's house, not just yet. She didn't want to see anyone she knew, she didn't want to explain.

She would eventually, she had to, but for now she was avoiding. The pard had spent a good while staring at the dragon statues in the throne room, particularly the bronze one, but eventually she'd gotten disinterested, and was now curled up on one of the round couches, tail hanging over the edge and stirring up the ash on the floor.

Britain
Well.

UK couldn't say he was exactly surprised- the 'shop' was lookng a little on the TORCHED side since his slightly traumatic encounter with Harmodius. If it wasn't for the fact that Yschadeh had been riding him about his fear of the place and it's Lord, UK might have never stepped back inside...but a coward he was not. Just...more than slightly intimidated.

The changes were quite fascinating, though. The blond peered around as he stepped inside, green eyes curious; Scha watched from the back of his mind as well. So entranced were they that they almost fell over poor Seppa; fortunately, UK's innate grace saved them both, and he caught himself. This time.

"I beg your pardon," he stated, blinking at her. "I didn't see you, I'm afraid."

Meepfur
He startled her, but too badly...and hey, at least the hadn't actually fallen over her. Or stepped on her tail, for that matter. Seppa raised her head, blinking wide green eyes.

"Oh, it's okay." From her tone, she was just as distracted, if by other things. "Hello there."

Britain
What manner of creature is this...? Yschadeh mused, looking her over with fascination. She was not a native of this world, that he could remember, but she had the taste of magic about her- much like one of his own fantastic creatures! He wanted to know MORE about her; for the first time, UK was able to absently brush him off.

She's a pard, He murmured distantly, kneeling to be on a better level with the lady. I believe her type is called Wingzelle. My cousin rescued the whole bloody race, they cover her house like ants.

"Hello," he said out loud, brushing pale hair out of his eyes. "I wasn't expecting anyone here who looked civilized. A pleasure, lady."

Meepfur
Seppa's ears swung forward with interest, intrigued and pleased. He was polite, and what was more, seemed unphased by both her and her manner of speaking. This kind of company was a bright spot in an otherwise very bad, hungry day.

"Pleasure's mine, sir," she returned, a faint purr forming in her throat. "I didn't expect anyone would appear who'd think I look civilized; you know us?" 'Us' being pards, of course.

Britain
"UK Whitherspoon," he answered politely, bowing his head. "Britain is my baby cousin. I don't think anyone in the family had a CHOICE but to know about the pards." This was said dryly, but not with any malice- he had his own obsessions, let the baby-Brit have hers. Certainly, the whole family had enough quirks for a box of crackers.

"I also happen to be a mage, in my spare time-" mmm, understatement much, "-so I have had my occasional encounter with those others would consider strange." His lip curled slightly, something like anger mixed with fear flashing through his eyes. "Certainly you seem better company than my last visit."

Meepfur
"Seppa," she offered in return, nodding. "Britain's cousin? From pleasure to honor, then." The pard smiled, tail flicking behind her. It was strangely amusing to hear the Britain she'd heard about called 'baby,' she had to admit.

"A mage?" She tilted her head with sincere curiosity. "As you know us, then you likely know already that I am a mage, as well. Metal is my particular specialty." Though she didn't miss the look that flitted through his eyes, it wouldn't due to pry about that directly. "May I ask the company..? I've only met you and Illumin, so far. Illumin is not so bad as I first thought him, though he did step on my tail." Seppa wrinkled her nose.
His answer was almost impatient, almost stating that she already knew his name, and his usual abruptness almost took over- but something held him back. Something probably like a certain slumbering god, who raised one reproachful eyebrow at him in reminder of the arrangement they'd made.

"I am host to Yschadeh, the Arcane," he stated instead, the words leaving a slightly bad taste in his mouth. The fingertips that rested on the ground, supporting his balance, clawed slightly; he might not be fighting so much anymore, but he was far from resigned. "Lady, you hold a trace of familiarity as well- and more than I have seen from the other pard mages. Do you find yourself a host, as well?"
She'd actually been inquiring as to the company he'd had on his last visit, that apparently he hadn't found to his liking...but in the absence of an answer, she wasn't going to pry.

"Yes," her answer was spat bitterly, and her tail lashed. "To..Zhijian, who calls himself a Dragon King."
"Oh, how fascinating. I've met one of those as well- Yu Huang, though Yschadeh seems to find his company most entertaining. His host shot me." Emerald eyes flickered with amusement, and he decided to be so bold as to reach over and gently stroke her ears. "I've...reached a sort of understanding with the Arcane, since I don't seem to have much choice in the matter. I suppose that's the best I can expect."

Thoughtfully, he glanced around the 'temple,' eyes lingering for a moment on the dragon statues. "Truthfully, I don't like to come here...Harmodious left a bad taste upon my lips. No one likes being made to feel afraid, or as if they were nothing."
"He shot you?" Sounded like one hell of an unpleasant person. At the mention of the other Dragon King's name, something that wasn't Seppa stirred in her mind, but stayed quiet. It was a very strange feeling, and she would have made a face, but when UK started on her ears, all she could do was look pleased. That always felt so nice. "I haven't spoken to him yet, myself; Illumin did and seems to think I've..done well."

"I haven't met this Harmodius, for all that I've heard of him." Her eyes flicked to their surroundings as well. "But the look of this place is offputting enough. "Still, I haven't been able to bring myself to go home just yet."
"Yes, he's a bit violent. It seems my parasite and his are to be allies, however." At the note on Harmodious, his shoulders tensed. "You are not missing much," the human mage told her grimly, the faint burn of memory tugging at the corners of his lips. "Yschadeh's servants tell me I met him on the transition from Creation to Destruction...what he is now, few would call pleasant company."

His expression softened slightly, bringing his attention from the setting and back to his companion. "I am close to no one but my cousins and my sister...I haven't been able to bring myself to tell them. They're a very emotional lot, and Britain has this bad habit of trying to stop 'bad things'...I suppose I just don't want them to have to face the frustration and helplessness I have felt."
"I'd call that more than a 'bit' violent," she observed, expression distasteful. The pard stretched just slightly, extending her forelegs before resettling, satisfied. "Maybe I'll luck out and manage not to run into..Destrution. I think I could do without."

"That's not such a bad habit, I don't think, just an unhealthy sort of one." Seppa looked at her paws, thoughtful. "I have..a friend who I think knows, but the others...I wish I could get away without telling them, but they'll have to know eventually." Albi had her worried most of all, and for once it was actually for him, instead of just worrying about how to deal with him.
"Britain will most likely kill me," UK said thoughtfully, hand returning to it's absent petting, careful of her horns. "She does hate anything she can't control, any 'crime' in her eyes that she can't prevent. My sister....I'm not telling my sister. Yschadeh can explain it to her."

An almost impish smile touched his face, and he laughed lightly. It was a pretty sound, airy, and the smile that was so unusual made him look much younger. "Might I propose a treaty? You protect me from my sister, and I will console you with steaks and company when you face your own challenges. London is so terribly much scarier than I." ^_~
"I'm not precisely keen on being helpless, myself," she sympathized with the absent Britain. It would be a hard choice, whether or not to tell someone; either way, there'd be such pain.

That look UK had when he laughed was hard not to answer, and soon the pard's expression lifted in a fanged grin. "For steaks, I'd happily play guard cat," she returned with a nod. "Sabah's cook doesn't seem to understand 'medium rare.'"
"That, lady, is something my parasite and I agree on quite well," the human mage murmured, a trace of the wicked predator in his expression. "If one is going to eat steak, what exactly is the POINT of burnng it until it has lost all flavor...? Certainly, I would be pleased to offer such a trifling."

With agonizing sharpness, he felt Yschadeh awaken. It had become much more common, of late, and his control was becoming harder and harder to maintain...like today. He gasped once, feeling the gem throb with strange heat between his shoulderblades. The hand that had been so gently caressing his companion flew to press flat against his chest; he gave in gracefully, though he wasn't pleased about it.

"It seems..that our conversation must be cut a bit short," he managed, voice flickering between his own light tones and Scha's darker malice. By the time he finished the sentance, his eyes had been painted with violet and amusement, changing his demeanor completely. "Forgive me, Lady. United Kingdom can be so terribly stubborn, and I did not wish the chance for us to meet to go unattended."
Just as she was about to purr out her agreement, things changed. Full of confused concern, she tensed, just beginning to rise. "UK..?"

And then it was Yschadeh. Seppa's ears swept back, pressing against her head even as she settled herself on the round couch again. Clearly, her pleasure at this new meeting was dubious at best. "Flattered as I am," there was a bite of sarcasm to those words, "I was enjoying UK's company.
"How pleasant, considering how few actually DO enjoy his company," the diety murmured, amused at her reaction. Heaven forbid his sarcastic host actually make FRIENDS. "I am wounded, Lady- so much of you is representative of my realm, and yet your first words are harsh. Do you begrudge me such a small joy as an introduction?"

This might have been more affective if not said with Scha's arrogance, and his sparkling violet eyes tainted with amusement. Though he didn't actually seem to mean anything offensive by the gesture, he also wasn't apologizing for his interruption- and there was nothing of UK in the way he moved, the way he held his body.
"Be that as it may, it does not make me beholden to you, and such a rude interruption was uncalled for." Seppa was annoyed with him, and god or no, she didn't have a problem in the world with expressing it. "As for an introduction, you likely already know who and what I am, if you were paying attention."
"Lady, I could taste the scent of a Dragon on you from the other side of the world," came the dry response, and Scha raked UK's bangs out of his face with irritation. He seemed unconcerned with her own anger, unaffected by whatever opinion she might have of the diety. "Very few command my respect- perhaps your master will be one such."

He rose, indigo eyes going still as he looked around the Temple and took in what had changed since he had last been present. So dark, so violent...neither of which made him uneasy, but the implications they brought left him quiet. "It is as I thought, then. Destruction at it's height- we are in for a rough road to the Hells, Lady."
The pard hissed, lips pulling back to bare fangs. The action revealed the sorry state of her tongue. "He may be my parasite, but he is not and will never be my master."

As her tail lashed behind her in offended anger, Seppa snapped her response to his next comment, "What, don't you like it?"
