Cheers everyone! ...and Happy holidays!
Reason number one:

Why would two sterile people want a child and raise them as their own? I mean, can't they just accept the fact that they can't have one?
Why do they want to be like heterosexuals?- We don't. That's why we aren't. But would you rather have two loving, homosexual parents, or be stuck in an orphanage?

Reason number two:

As for the discrimination, what do you have to base that on? Any examples of any sorts? Do you actually know it happens? Because the only children who would bully the adopted child would have homophobic values.

I'm gay. If I adopt a child, I'd love him/her. Do I want to put the child through the same discrimination that I went though?

You know what? To a certain extent, I would. Because it makes people stronger to get through s**t like that. And maybe, just maybe, there would end up being less homophobia because of it.

Everybody experiences discrimination because they are a bit different. Why should my child not?
Children raised my gay couples are known to be more open minded. And that is a quality that is really lacking in todays society. I'm not saying that almost everyone is homophobic or racist, I'm just saying that there are millions of children out there just go "eww two men/women kissing, EEWW". A child raised by a gay couple has been brought up not to do that.
and yes, I am gay.
Two reasons.

1: They are people just like us, and deserve a child even though they have a different sexual preference.

2: No law stating against it.

hear hear!.
the affection and amount of care given to a child isn't limite d by there parents/gaurdians sexuality.
Well CrimsonRedd your right, Gay ppl are different in views of sexualty. But I mean they have equal rights, except for having children.

Nature simply doesn't allow gay couples to have children and I think this happens with a reason. I think you should reconsider that not being able to have kids comes with being gay. And allso what's best for a kid. I think all psychologyst whould agree with me that a loving family is crucial, but even the most loving gay couple cannot be as good for a child than a loving hetero couple.

are you going to back that up?
I think a gay person should be able to adopt or become artificially pregnant. I am gay and I don't really want children but i have two friends who are deeply in love and who may want children and no one should be denied the right to have children Although I do see where you are coming from. still if you don't understand homosexuality then don't write about it.(that is if you really don't understand it, I'm not saying you don't) heart

Don't speak for psychologists. They may not appreciate you dragging their good names into this.

So you said the most loving gay couple cannot be as good for a child than a loving hetero couple.

Care to elaborate? Or is that all you're going to say. This is ED.. have some reasoning.

So: Why is it that that even *the most* loving gay couple cannot be as good for a child than a loving hetero couple?

So, theoretically, sterile couples are sterile for a reason?

Or are they suddenly allowed just because they are heterosexual?

Gay families can be just as loving and as accepting as a heterosexual couple, if not more. The couple who lived next door to me was gay.

That's right. Gay. And they adopted two boys. I used to baby-sit for them and I didn't notice anything 'abnormal' about the family or their kids. If anything, the children were more accepting than 'normal' kids.

Not to mention, you are aware that society allows single parents to adopt, yes? By your theory, we shouldn't allow single parents to adopt because they aren't as 'good for a child than a loving hetero couple'.
Do you know of any kids who are happier in an orphanage or foster care than with gay parents? I doubt there are many.
My best guy friend was and still is being rasied by gay parents he was an orphan and they adopted him when he was 14. He is currenly 18 and he loves his family and he has an education and he doesnt care what people think about him or his parents. I think that it should be allowed. I can guarentee that there are better gay parents right now then there are hetrosexual.

Thirdly, why the hel do you think that the amount a child can be loved is limited by their parents sexuality?. this is
EXTENDED DISCUSSION, meaning you actually have to EXPLAIN everything you say.
