"Hey, Martainia, check this out!" the two boys, Joshua and Martainia, were out playing hide and seek, when they came across a strange cave. "Woah...what is it?" said Mart. "I dunno. Let's go in!" Joshua exclaimed as he crawled through the narrow entranceway, noticing a cross-shaped hole in the wall. Martainia soon followed after, saying, "This place seems pretty neat, I mean, look at the walls!" The walls were a blue crystal color, with gem shapes entched into them. Upon entering, they gazed, glorified, at the magnificent place. They were abruptly interupted by a low growling. Neither turned around...untill, out of fear, Joshua glanced over his shoulder.

A red-orange claw reached out, grasped Joshua by the face, and tore him back into the shadows. "Joshua!!" Screamed Martainia. Then he stopped, horrorstruck, at what he saw. There, laying on the ground, was Joshua. His face had a large gash upon it, and his arm seemed to be broken. "Oh my God..." whispered Mart. It took awhile for him to realize that the beast that had killed his dearest friend was standing right in front of him.

It was a centaur-like creature, with the torso of a man, but the legs of a crab. It's face was dark, with four large horns emitting from its forehead. Its mouth open, blood dripping from its teeth, it stared eye-to-eye at Martainia. The boy thought right there, that he was going to meet the same fate as his friend, and so stayed where he was. The monster plunged towards him, letting out a shreiking cry.

At the last second though, A hiss was heard, and the monster stopped. Then two fairly large serpentine creatures - one gold, one silver - launched over Martainia's shoulders. They struck the creature on either side of its neck, bringing it down almost immidietly. Once it had stopped writhing, and had slumped to the floor, The serpents looked at Martainia. And he thought he heard them wisper: the blood of the killer, and the blood of the killed, once untited, are neither at all. And they reached their tails out, one scooping a puddle of Joshua's blood, and the other scooping The beast's, and dropped them both on Joshua's chest.

The liquids swirled together, and soaked through his skin. About 5 seconds later, his wounds healed, at a rapid speed, and he woke up.
"Wha-what..?" He managed. Martainia breathed a sigh of releif and looked up to thank the peculiar creatures who had helped him, and his friend. But they were gone. Not a single trace, except a cross-shaped rock. He picked it up, and noticed it looked like the carving on the wall of the entrance to the cave.

They walked slowly back to the hole, and placed the 'key' into it. The crevices started to glow, and the wall tumbled, creating a new path. A path, to the Serpents eggs. A path, to the Legend.

Hi, and welcome.

This is where I'll show you what these creatures are like, and what they do.

A serpent is most likely compared to snakes, however, their behavior and attributes are much more like a dragon than anything else. Serpents come in many species, each varying in strengths and weaknesses, and special abilities/traits.
They move much like a snake, by slithering, and are slender and limbless. This is why they are compared to a snake most often.
The size of serpents are different, depending on the species, as will be explained later. But the average size is about five feet in length, and 1.5 feet in circumference.

Now i shall discuss the stages:
All serpents start in an egg, and go to a child, adolescent, and adult, in time.

The egg doesn't do much, while the children are fairly active, playful and just learning how to do things. The Adolescents are hyper, energetic, playful, fun, and so on, gaining maturity. The Adults have become fully grown, and are mature, still fairly active, serpents.

Time line: egg-7 to 12 days, child-7 to 14 days, adolescent-10 to 12 days, adult-forever. Or maybe it will change again? O.o

To breed your serpent, you must first find another serpent of the opposite gender, and same stage: adult. Then, to breed, both of the owners must send me a pm with a request to breed your pets. If one person would like to breed two of their serpents together, once again, I need a pm.

Once your request has been accepted, I will notify both of the owners, and in an estimated 2 days, you will recieve a batch of eggs. (1-4) you may then either keep the eggs, and raise them yourself, or put them up for adoption for others to buy. (note: this is the only way that my stock for serpents will ever change. If no one breeds, then they can and will become extinct. And we DON'T want that now do we!? domokun )

You may not breed two serpents of the same family! meaning: if either of the serpents have at least one of the same parent, they cannot be bred.

When breeding 2 serpents of different types, the offspring will be a combonation of the two species it has for parents. This is an exciting new addition to breeding, considering it now allows for over 120 different species of serpent! Breeding Formula and Stuffs!!!
Ok, it's been a while, but now im finally updating the breeding section!
So, to breed two serpents, first pick the parents.
Parents=Angelic Female and Dragon Male

Then you leave em alone for a little while, maybe 2 days or so (let em know each other xP), and tadaah! They'll have an egg! As to what the offspring will look like, please see figure 1.

These are the traits of the two parents, and the new offspring. Wanna know how i singled them out? See figure 2.

Each parent has gender-dominant traits.
-Male dominant: Main color, Head Design
-Female dominant: Secondary color, Tail design
-Random 50/50: Eye color

The Species of serpents are all different, with no two having any of the same attributes (save the ones mentioned earlier xP). The 15 original Serpents are: Normal, Aquatic, Angelic, Demonic, Earth, Psy, Sky, Toxin, Spark, Dragon, Plant, Desert, Burn, and Shadow.

Appearence: Normal Serpents don't have any special appearance traits, but their powers are more powerful than all others. Their colors are totally up to you, since they have no scheme in particular.

Size: 4-5.5ft long
Appearance: Angelic Serpents are gifted with blessed feathers at the end of their tails, which allows them to hover instead of slither. Appearance: Demonic Serpents are mostly created for battle. Their horns are sharp and stiff, making headbutts prove merciless, while their whip-like tails are spindly and feirce. They prefer dark places, and their colors are usually any dark shade but yellow and orange. only customs may have a design.

Earth

Size: 5.1ft long
Appearance: Earth serpents have drill-like horns, that rotate and allow them to burrow throught the ground. Their tails are armed with a clublike stone casing, brutally strong, and equally large. They enjoy basking in the sun, and their tan colors show it. They are usually brown and orange shades. Only customs may have a design.

Psy

Size: 6.2ft long
Appearance: Psy serpents are long, and don't sither. Like angelic serpents, the rings around their tails allow them to float. They also give them slight telekenetic abilities. They have six eyes, allowing them to see an extremely wide area around them, therefore can forsee events. They are lonely, and their colors are usually purple and yellow.

Celestial

Size: 4.7ft long
Appearence:Celestial serpents have jagged, metallic looking horns, they serve no combat purpose, and are more like a mane. They have sharp, star-shaped blades on their tails, and use these to fend off enemies. They use the power of the stars and outer space in their lives, and are usually meditating and prophecising. The celestial serpent's colors are usually gold, silver, and light blue.

Appearance: though short, Burn serpents make up for it with their speed and vigorosity. Their colors are red, and orange, with rare cases of blue. Only customs have designs

Desert

Size: 5ft
Appearance: Desert serpents have protective shells on their heads. these are covered in spikes, and are about as strong as a tortoise's shell. Their tails are nearly exactly like a cactus, with thin spines, and supplies of extra water, like a camel. They have tough skin, from being in the hot sand all day, and their colors are usually pale greens, and light oranges and peach. Only customs may have designs.

Toxin

Size: 4.6ft long
Appearence: The whiskers on toxin serpents serve more as stingers, than sensors, though they do the same, just as the ones on their heads are for defensive intoxicating purposes. The fungus heads on their tails emit gascious spores, that infenct potential threats. They are quiet, and rarely talk. Their colors are purple, pink, green, and sometimes peach. Only customs may have a design.

Plant

Size: 6ft long
Appearance: Plant serpents are the treehuggers of the family, and have leaves sprouting from their heads, that act as both a sheild from liquids and some attacks and an energy supply, by the cause of photosynthesis. The leaves on their tails can grow slightly on command, to be used in many ways. The colors of Plant serpents are green, and brown shades. Only customs may have a pattern.

Also, all serpents, no matter the type, have a secondary ability, chosen by you. It can be nearly anything, from flexibility to fire-breath (ooh, cliche` xD), and an attitude, for rp-ing or fun xP. Let your imagination run wild!

Custom serpents are one of the best parts of the shop, allowing you to take any species, and basically make it a subspecies xD.

To buy a custon, you just hafta fill out the below form, and post it here. tadaa! nothing else. So... here it is:
