Destiny Of Dragons

Long ago in the lands of Perdula there lived six dragons, The Dragon of Water, The Dragon of Fire, The Dragon of Earth, The Dragon of Air, The Dragon of Light and The Dragon of Dark. The dragons were the protectors of Perdula, seen as the Gods who looked down upon the races of the planet. The people loved them and often had ceremonies and dances in honour of them.

But not everyone saw the dragons as protectors, some saw them as pests, rodents that took advantage of the people. They decided to take action and sought help with a Necromancer called Marcon.

Marcon was an evil man, who tortured poor souls and cast spells on those he felt like. He was banished from Perdula because of his cruel acts and hid himself deep in the mountains.

On hearing the plans of the people he jumped at the chance to help them destroy the dragons. Destroying the dragons would mean he could slip into power; the people would soon follow his ways.

Calling upon the forces of the undead Marcon led the army towards the Dragons. The dragons needed to stop Marcon but instead of trying to keep the peace war broke out between the two. The dragons and the undead were constantly battling. It seemed to go on for years.

If you thought the war was bad enough you were wrong, when the war seemed close to finishing, Marcon, his army and the dragons all disappeared. No one knew why and slowly the people gave up hope. What happened was a mystery to everyone.

With out the dragons people had no hope and slowly small quarrels between brothers and sisters were full blown fights with the neighbour. No one would believe the dragons had gone and blamed each other for the selfish ways. Slowly people began to live with out their gods and got on with their lives.

Around one hundred years later on the day that the dragons disappeared, six eggs appeared dotted around the land of Perdula. It so happens that these eggs were destined to be stumbled upon by six chosen people. These six don't yet know the responsibilities that they have yet to face.

But it wasn't only the eggs that appeared those many years later, Marcon did too.
Rules

I have started with my rules and what I expect, there is a simple reason for me doing this and that is because there is a lot to take in and read. If I get the boring stuff over with first I can go ahead into the much more interesting details of the story. I will try and make this easy for us all and the only way I can see this happening is if you begin by following my rules.

I hope for this to be a literate Rp where we can understand and read each others posts. I will not except any form of chat speak or *s displaying peoples actions. I will accept people to Rp in either the third or first person format, I do not mind, what ever is easiest for you.

I would also love patience; it can take me a while to respond if you interact with my characters. I don't want people thinking I'm not going to reply, I will, you just have to give me the chance. I do not mind typos, they are a common mistake and they like to haunt everyone. However if you do have poor spelling like myself then a spell check is a great handy tool. Word what would I do with out you?

Godmoding, power playing and cybering are a no. I will not accept this in my Rp. Romance is a yes, it happens and like many others is one of the factors of this Rp. I have to say it is not the main factor of this thread though, don't come here looking for love.

For post size I would love about a paragraph minimum. By a paragraph I mean about four to five lines. I love longer posts and if you can and you have the brain power then please do post more. It makes it much more interesting, but I understand when we feel like goo we don't post as much.

We all have lives outside of Gaia and I understand that so if there are any issues and you have to be away from the RP for a while then please let me know. This also applies if you want to drop out all together.

All Profiles will be PMed to me, I would love it if you put 'Diablo' either at the top or the bottom of your Pm, this just shows me that you have read and agree to my rules.

I'd like to add that this is meant to be a medieval Role Play, not a modern one. = 3 Thank you.

Chintamani may have missed something in the creation of the Role Play so expect things to change and move around.

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

These rules and regulations are subject to change.

[x]If you wish to be either the Dragon of Time or Mystery I would love a Role Play sample please. In my idea they are quite important and I need the right people to play them. = 3

[x]Please note that if you do not wish to be one of the six that finds an egg you don't need to fill out the dragon Information. You cannot have a dragon unless you are one of the six. More will be introduced at a later date, depending on how well the Role Play is going.

[x]If you think you have a decent character that you think might add a little twist to the story, do go ahead and PM it to me with an explanation. Even if it is a character with a dragon. <3 I love twists.

[x]To be Marcon please fill out a profile for him, I'll allow you to decide on what he looks and acts like.

Thin, delicate looking fingers danced gently across the rough surface of a large egg. Fire red and coal black swirled across the surface in a marble pattern, truely an eye catching sight. Kira blew a few stands of raven hair from her face, river blue eyes looking over the egg with curiosity and interest. It had been a week since she had found the egg and it still hadn't hatched. The day she had found it she had been drawn to it like a magnet and longed for it to hatch and see what surprises were held within it. She smiled and continud to pet the thick shell of the egg. Then, all of the sudden, the egg became engulfed in a bright fire red light. Kira let out a yelp of surprise and retreated from the egg a few feet. The light grew more and more intense, until the girl was forced to shield her eyes from being blinded. She could hear the soft sound of something cracking, it sounded like the shell. When the light died down, she rubbed her eyes and stared at the form lying within the broken debris of what had been the egg.

The form was about the size of a cat, but from being curled up, it looked to be smaller. Shocked at first, Kira didn't move an inch. After a moment or two, she edged forward and reachd out one slender hand. She was only few centimeters from the form when it twitched and stretched out. The girl was forced to stifle a gasp of surprise, thus, clapped her other hand over her mouth. The form was a dragon. His whole body was black like coal and he had several animal features, save his dragon-like wings and body shape. Redish black eyes blinked open and almost immediately locked into Kira's river blue orbs. There was a long period of time where not a sound was made and staring seemed to be the main action. Neither one blinked and both held their breath.
Why had she picked up that egg, why didn't she just leave it and continue home? Aldina looked to the egg with large eyes, she was sure she had heard some noise coming from inside, it didn't sound like a bird, it sounded bigger. The size of the egg intrigued her also, what kind of animal could be inside. She grabbed a chair and sat down upon it while staring at the egg from afar, it sat nestled in her cloak on her small bed.

The egg made another noise and rocked once again making Aldina jump up and cup her hands by her bedside in case it decided to go rolling off. It was sat here up close that she recognised a crack, her head tilted slightly as she began to examine it and as the crack got larger Aldina let out a squeal and dropped it back onto the bed before retreating back behind her chair.

What if it was some kind of demon? she thought and she began to nibble her nails as more cracks appeared, the egg itself was rocking backwards and forwards. Then as the egg broke Aldina squealed once again, some sticky creature emerged and fell limply on her bed.

"Oh my!" she shrieked and dashed out of her room passing one of her brothers as she grabbed a couple of cloths before dashing back past him. "Sorry." she mouthed and slammed her door shut behind her.

Looking to her bed she found that the small creature wasn't there, her eyes scanned the room until they rested upon a small frame stumbling towards her. Sticky and covered with gunk she could make out a scaly body and tiny thin wings, it looked to be the size of a puppy. Its long neck reached out and as it stumbled once again Aldina went to scoop him up.

After a bit of a clean Aldina set him back onto her bed and stood back to examine him once again. She hadn't seen anything like it before, it wasn't a lizard or a bird she was aware of, the only thing she could think of was a dragon, but they were just legends. She dismissed the thought and looked down once again to the tiny bundle that sat on her bed, she couldn't help but feel slightly towards it.

"You're are kind of cute." she cooed and went to tickle it's chin like a cat but the dragon snapped it's jaw forwards and nipped her finger. "Oww." she cried as she sucked her finger. "You're cute but you have one nasty bite."
[[We still have spaces left, dragons and our main enemy. Of course if no one wants Marcon then I suppose I can take him. = 3 ]]
After what felt like an eternity, the silence was broken. The dragon blinked and then let out a sneeze. He shood his head, his short mane dancing back and forth, and returned to staring up at Kira. The girl put aside her shock and smile, seeing that such a small creature that had just hatched couldn't possibly harm her. Smiling warmly she let her hand connect with the dragon's skin. It was a little slick from being in the egg, yet tick and durable. Being as gentle as she could, she slipped her hand under the little creature and lifted him up. Having not been used at all yet, his wings were still limp and hung like a rag doll from his shoulders. The dragon seemed to be as peace when she picked him up and let out a sound surprisingly close to a purr.

Kira's smile grew as she put the small creature in her lap and dried him off with a part of her scarf. "Hey there, little guy." She spoke in a soft and smooth voice that was as sweet as fresh honey. The dragon's ears perked up at the sound of her voice and the purring deepened. He flexed his tiny claws and relaxed them, and then repeated. It took a while to get him completely dry, but eventually he was good to go. Kira stroked his head again and looked over his form. He was definetly a dragon, no other crature in the world could look like that.
Curious green eyes peered down at the smooth, warm surface of the large egg that rested in his lap. The egg was blue with a swirl of white and about the size of a watermelon. Taiyou blew his bangs out of his face, sitting on the grass with his back against a tree. It's been a few days since he found the object as he trekked through the mountains. He was tired from the journey and soon fell asleep. As he dreamed away, the egg started to glow a faint blue color and cracks started to form on it's surface.

Waking from his slumber, Taiyou opened his eyes to meet two swirling blue orbs. He remained still as the creature in front of him shifted on his chest. It was the size of hawk and had a wingspan of close measure. He stared in shock as the creature settled in his lap and stared back at him.
Stareing at the egg in front of her she wondered why she had kept it. To her it made no sense but for some reason she had been drawn to this mysterious egg. It was huge and had pale blue spirals on it that seemed to get darker as the days went by. Earlier as the day turned into night she had wrapped a blanket around it to keep it warm.

The next morning though as she woke up beside the lake she watched as the egg that she had been guarding hatched. Unlike normal eggs though the lake in which had been still a moment ago began to ripple and boil up as if in a dance for the eggs arrival. She stared transfixed as a head appeared from the egg.
A cool wind blew by, making the dragon shudder and curl up in Kira's lap. Kira stroked his head one more time before removing her scarf completely and wraping it around the creature's tiny form. "Poor thing. Here you go." She made sure that he would be warm, but still had room to move around and find a comfortable position to stay in. Once that was done, she got to her feet and threw the strap her messenger bag over one shoulder and her head, the bag itself now resting on her left hip. Using her arms like a cradle, she carried the dragon and her scarf while hugging him sweetly. "Let's go find some place warmer, you must be freezing out here." Kira smild down at the dragon and got a cross between a chirp and bark for a reply. At first she had no idea what the dragon had said, but something in the back of her mind seemed to perfectly understand the creature.
Sakura continued to stare at this strange creature unsure at first what it could be. Then a thought appeared in her mind, No it couldnt be. A dragon, but they have been gone for a long time why would they be back now? Finally the rest of the body appeared and there was no doupt in her mind what it was. Well now that your hatched what do i do with you? she wondered as she leaned against the tree. Watching she saw it walk in a way over and sit in her lap falling over against her instantly falling asleep. Hatching must be tough she thought as she wrapped her cloak around them both.
