We HAVE MOVED!

wahmbulance Alrighties guys, I did it again. I slacked... BIG TIME. The following year things will change. I will be here more often, more fluffs will be made and sold, and breeding will once again be open. We will probably start fresh with a new thread but current RPs can be continued. I'm going to work on this new thread in the test forum section here. Feel free to post comments and suggestions. Thank you guys soooooo much for bearing with me through this <3

<The Bunkichi Center Version 3.0>

Welcome one and all to the newest version of the bunkichi center. I started out with the bunkichi when the breedable forum and Gaia was still very new late 2003. Since then we've suffered through many hiatuses, a few hurricanes, and a very hectic schedual but somehow we've still managed to keep a few of us together. I would like to officially welcome friends both old and new to the Bunkichi Center Version 3.0.

One day in the lab....

Chie was experimenting with rabbit and cat genes again, in an effort to create a creature similar to a cabbit. They were left in a beaker to boil and mix together, when Chie left the lab shortly to take care of something. From the other room she heard a loud explosion and returned to the lab to find that her beaker had exploded. Looking around the room at the mess, she discoved a small, colorful creature on the ground. She determined that it was created by the mixing of the genes, but she didn't know where its lovely blue color had come from. After looking around the lab some more she determined what must have happened. It seems that the steam from the beaker had melted a box of crayons that was sitting on the shelf above it, and that some of the colorful wax had dripped into the beaker, causeing the explosion, the creation of the creature, and her beatiful color. She decided to name the creatures Bunkichi, and she kept the first one for herself, naming her Tsukino. After her initial success creating Tsukino, Chie made more of the Bunkichi and allowed them to breed. She has also recently been creating more species. And the rest, as they say, is history.....

And that my friends is how it all happened, it all started with the little blue and gold fuzzball Tsukino and since then the bunkcihi population has expoloded with bunkichi and various other sub species of the little guys.

How do I get my bunkichi to have fluffs of its own?

Well first, you'll have to wait til your Bun is old enough to mate, at which time his or her name on 'the list' will turn blue. After this point please refer to the breeding post a few below this one.

Do you offer custom bunkichi?

Why yes, yes we do. But only in custom auctions. When we say custom, we mean custom. You basically get to choose the gender, fur and eye color, and even the cert color. Not to mention its variation and color name.

What days are you working on these things Chie-sama? You're so slow!

Due to Chie's personal life and work schedual, she really only has two or three days out of the week that she's available to work on bunkichi, and no, she's not telling you which days, but never fear! Bunkichi will continue to populate Gaia as long as she has a say in the matter!

Auctions and raffles are held periodically is and just about the only way to recieve a custom bunkichi.

arrow For our grand opening, whenever that may be, we will be having a planetary bunkichi auction. There will be one bunkichi to represent each of the nine planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. These bunkichi will have special one time only certs in a heavenly design. (Tsukino, who will be our moon representative will also recieve this cert.) Please stay tuned for further information!

These nifty little boxes each contain a slumbering bunkichi kit, special made to suit the month of their birth. These little darlings may come with special limited time only items already on them. In at least one box every month will be a special rare or uncommon bunkichi. Each box is different in design, giving you a glimps of what the bunkichi kit inside may look like.

To land yourself one of these little beauties, first you must send a trade of the appropriate donation letter to Chie or gold of equal value, 6,000. Be sure to specify which box you wish to own in the trade AND in a post here at the center as there will be a few boxes to choose from every month!

It is VERY important to roleplay your bunkichi by bringing it to the center and having him or her interact with the other bunkichi. Actively roleplayed bunkichi tend to grow faster and healthier compaired to their neglected peers and how else are they supposed to find that special someone?

Also, roleplaying plays a vital role on how quickly your young one grows up and reaches adult hood. Frequent roleplayers may find their bunkichi growing faster than others. Bunkichi who are not roleplayed at all can take upwards of four months to reach maturity. You will know when your bunkichi has reached breeding age when Chie or Keeta-chan lets you know.

If your adult bunkichi ever does manage to find the bunkichi that's just right for them, chances are, they will stay together for life. Bunkichi are very loyal and devoted to their chosen partners and will stick by their side for the rest of their fuzzy little lives.

Well, your bunkichi has paired off with a partner and they've decided to bless you with a litter of... fluffs? Fluffs are the cute little fluffy things that bunkichi are born from. When a kit is about to be born, the fluffy protective layer sluffs off, leaving a round cabbage ball sized pearl that hatches shortly after. (Once you and Chie are in the Center at the same time.) But how do you get your bunkichi and his or her partner to get fluff making in the first place?

Step 1

You and the other caretaker are to send Chie, 1000 gold each, making sure to give the names of both parents. Bunkichi cannot reproduce naturally so a clinical procedure must be performed on the couple to ensure a sucessful fluff implantation. The DNA of both parents is taken and then combined in a test tube, the resulting mass is then either implanted into the mother for incubation or put into a sort of incubator until the fluffs have fully matured. (This is the way most bunkichi are born only from raw DNA)

Step 2

Now you need to wait for your fluffs to arrive. This can be a very lengthy process and can take from anywhere from a week to over a month depending on the mother.

Step 3

Jang! Your fluffs have arrived. Bunkichi always lay three fluffs when giving birth. The respective caretakers must now decide who will keep which fluff, this decision must be posted to the thread so keeta-chan can update the owner list. The third fluff will be given back to the store to be sold or raffled off.

Angelic
<Bunkichi x Angelic Feather>
One day Chie was wandering the beaches of Gambino, her bare feet leaving small footprints in the damp sand. She stopped to take in the view, just after sunset when a gentle breeze began to sweep in from the coast. Squinting into the twilight her eyes catch sight of something fluttering along the wind currents. Reaching up, she just manages to catch the small object, a pure white feather.
Angelic bunkichi posess large feathered wings like those of an angel, making them exceptional at flight. First generations of this variation tend to always be of a light color but second generation can have the coloration of either parent.

Nitemare
<Bunkichi x Unknown Black Substance>
On the same trip to the beach Chie stumbled upon something else of interest, literally. On her way back to her lab, she was so engrossed in the feather that she wasn't looking where she was going and BAM! TRIP! She fell flat on her face. Grumbling to herself she looked back to see what had tripped her so only to find a small shiny black pebble.. It was a strange pebble.. she couldn't really say why, except that it seemed to make everything around it somewhat darker. She could use this...
Nitemare bunkichi tend to be a little larger and thicker than other variation of bunkichi. Despite the clumsy appearance of their large batlike wings, nitemare are excelent fliers and almost seem to jump from shadow to shadow.

Fire
<Bunkichi x Book of Lucky Strike Matches>
The fire bunkichi story was slightly less amazing and profound than the others. While lighting one of her bunson burners she accidentially knocked her book of Lucky Strike matches into a large flask of bunkichi dna.. that was the start of her persuit for elemental bunkichi.
Born of fire, these bunkichi are true to their name with little motes of heatless flames rising from their bodies.

Earth
<Bunkichi x Maple Leaf>
The leaf used was a large maple leaf that came from a tree next to Chie's elementary school. It was a huge monster of a leaf, almost as big as her head. Cool and green, soft to the touch.

From the top of the tallest mountain, a breeze caught so pure, cold, crisp, that you can hear its gentle song from miles around. This was no easy task, let me tell you.

<Bunkichi x Harbor Seal>
While traveling north, Chie came upon a group of harbor seals, they had just given birth to their young, still snowy white, soft. And then she spots them, seal clubber people! Oh no! She ran upto them, hands on her hips and then... well... Now the seals are safe! And in grattitude they volunteered some of their DNA for her reasearch.

idea signature tutorial idea

For your Fluff or Box

1. Right click on your fluff or box, and scroll down to properties.

2. Copy the URL listed in the window that will pop up.

3. Click on your character and go to your profile page.

4. Click on the Link entitled "Edit Profile"

5. Go down to the window entitled "signature" and paste this in the window, replaceing the URL there with the url of your Bunkichi picture
example:

6. Save the changes to your profile.

Once your Fluff or Box has become a Bunkichi

1. Go to the picture of your Bunkichi in the first post of the thread

2. Right click the image, select copy, and save it as a .jpg file on your computer

3. Go to an image hosting site, and save your pic there. If you don't know of one, Photobucket has free, reliable image hosting.

4. Get the new URL of the pic.

5. Follow steps 3-6 of the Bunkichi Fluff tutorial.
