September third, Ninteen Thirty Nine, hell broke lose for Britain, when the Nazi's made their last attack on Poland two days before. Britain declared war on Germany, and sometime during that same week, they were raided with bombs. Big booms, giant flashes, even at hogwarts it was hell, many time the students had to stay under their desks infear that there would be a mis-bombing and possably hit Hogwarts.

You take your first steps onto the boat
Looking up, you see a formidable castle with many windows filled with luminous light. The timber boat comes to a gentle stop. It's been about a half hour trip until you walk on to solid ground. You make your way towards the large, luminous structure. After about fifty stair steps carved into the stone island, you find a huge wooden door. Inside with held another room. Your first step was inside the Main Hall.
A huge man that towered over the fourty some students led you up to another staircase, he stopped at the bottom, as you make your way up to the top of the stairs an elderly woman was waiting at the top.
There she says the following.
"Welcome to Hogwarts.
Now, in a few moments you will pass through these doors, and join your class mates."
You glance behind her when she says 'through these doors.' you look through the glass doors and see a well lit room.
The woman didn't stop in between the sentence.
"But before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses.
They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin."
She pauses for a quick moment.
"Now while your here your houses will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points. Any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year the house with the most points is awarded the house cup."
She continues to talk as she turns around walking into the lit room you seen before.
"The sorting ceremony will begin shortly."

You follow behind her and see many students sitting at long wooden tables, above you are levitating candles.
Before you, you see a chair with a hat on it.

Your name is called for first, you sit down on the chair and woman places the hat on your head, it takes a while for the hat to think about what house to put you in but it finally makes out its choice and says the house name loudly.

Looking For: 1940

At the moment Hogwarts: 1940 is looking for:

Talented Artists

To draw the students, as soon as you take the one student you will have to draw the student each year he/she attends the school, so for seven years, or until the character user quits.

Talented CGer's

To colour the drawn students. Like the artists if you take one student you will be needed to colour the student seven times, or once each year the student attends Hogwarts.

Talented Plotters

To keep the RolePlay updated, with current events.

German exchange students at Hogwarts have been targetted by particularly vicious pranksters. Should these pranksters be caught, they will be dealt with severely. Diplomatic and political orthodoxy must be kept in mind- the life of a student does not necessarily parallel the actions of his birth country.

With Yule around the corner, it is necessary and imperative to keep up feelings of joy and harmony. Such vicious attacks against your own peers should not be tolerated.

Payment will be not of shop profits but of what you claim.

Artists will get 40% of the bid.
CGer's will get 40% of the bid.
Plotter/Journalist will get the left over of the bid.
Owner (me) will get 10% of the bid.

Role Play: 1940

Hogwarts: 1940 will be a role play strict shop, and only accepted bidders will be alloud to bid, anyone is alloud to fill out a bidding form and bid only after you have been accepted, you only need to be accepted once to bid. This will make sure that you are literate, and that you have the right aspect of what this world is like.

To roleplay, you must be literate.
Literate does not mean seven paragraph posts, it means using proper grammer and punctuation.
As you might see that I am not good with the english language so I may have some errors in my spelling, but you are alloud that, aslong as there arn't one every second word.
We would also like it if the people roleplaying would keep to a minimum of two sentences per post, and a maximum of seven paragraphs, but that doesn't include first posts, they may be aslong as you may like.

The Hogwarts: 1940 guild is not complete, nor close to being done, I would like it if people would volinteer and help me out develop some Ideas and develop the guild more. Since I don't use guilds much I would like it if someone helped organize the guild.
Who knows I might even donate some gold to you for being so generous.

Information:
Other information that you may want to concider is who will draw the character for you, or if you are going to draw your own, all characters need to be CGed, and in black robes. If you do not want to be in the Roleplay, you do not have to be, however if someone asks you to draw them, lets say me for instance please do so, unless you are busy otherwise.
