age: appears about 30 (actually a few centuries old)
Personality/attitude: Focused, stately, deliberate, compasionate. When she is not fighting, she is very courtly. Gracefull, refined, dignified and unhurried. This carries over in to fight mode as well, but she moves with a remarkable speed and agility that her otherwise leisurely demeanor contradicts.
skin tone: very pale
body type: 5’9”, slender, B-cup chest, very physically fit--not buff, but very well toned. A dancer’s build.
eye color: brilliant blue.
hair: sleek black, pulled into a very high ponytail/topknot. Held with a tall ornate silver clasp (about 2” in diameter, 3 or 4” tall) adorned with saphires. Ponytail falls to about the buttox/thigh region (don’t ask me kow she manages to not cut if off while fighting/dancing)
clothing: Blue leggings, simple black knee-high soft leather boots. Black 'karate gi' style top/tunic with silver trim and no sleeves. Bottom half of tunic is split on the sides (from under the belt, all the way down) and falls to mid-calf. Ornate silver gauntlets/armgaurds which start at the wrist and extend about 2/3rds way to elbow. Wide Oriental floral-patterned belt/obi (royal/navy, sapphire, black, and silver pattern) held in place with a black sash, tied in a large bow in front. Nagajuban style collar in matching print.
weapons: pair of tasseled scimitars (see ref). Her fighting style is similar to Korean sword dance. She whilrs the simitars around in an intricate dance filled with accrobatics. Entrancing to watch, an attacker is often distracted and looses any advantage.
Story:
Mara’s mentor. The art of sword dancing takes decades to learn, and centuries to master, so normally humans are not instructed, but Mara was so persistand and determined that she eventually gave in and agreed to take her on as an apprentice. After just five brief years, however, Mara took off without word--overconfident in her growing skills and anxious to find Adwen. Knowing that Mara has just enough training to get her into plenty of trouble, but not nearly enough to get her out of it, she sets off to find her.
