Rules of being commissioned
The Rules
I choose who I commission. I have certain things I look for in art that I commission. If your art isn't what I'm looking for, then don't be offended. It doesn't mean you aren't good, it just means that your style isn't what I'm looking for, so please don't take offense and rant at me if I decline your offer.
Please work on my art in a timely manner. I don't mind if it takes a little time for the art to be done, so long as you aren't putting me off. If I feel like you are putting me off, then I reserve the right to cancel the deal. Ask any artist I've commissioned before and they'll tell you that I'm very patient because I know art takes time and real life has to come first. However, don't abuse my trust. If you aren't going to be able to complete a piece or are having trouble, talk to me and let me know, don't just leave me hanging and wondering.
You must provide a base price. Giving an artist what they're worth is important to me, but at the same time I've paid high and low for quality pieces, so I need -some- ideas on your pricing. At the same time, it's important that you be fair. I won't buy art that's overpriced.
You must provide samples of the type(s) of work you wish to be commissioned for. For example, if you want to be commissioned for sketchwork, then I need sketchwork samples. If you want to be commissioned for CG work then I need CG samples. If you want to do full body, then show me full body samples. If you are flexible then give me a variety of samples. Samples tell me what kind of art you are willing to do, so don't post a sample and then tell me "Oh, I'm not doing that right now". Conversely, if you really want to be commissioned, then show me your different styles. I may like one over the other but I won't know if you only post one style.

So, how does the commissioning process work? It's easy really:
Post the form in this thread with your info in it.
Wait for me to confirm or deny your request to be commissioned. If I haven't replied within 24-48 hours then you may PM me.
If I've accepted, then at this point we will work out any details and settle on a final price. I will start the trade with your gold.
Once the art piece is finished, you can confirm the trade on your end. Then send me the art and I will confirm on my end. I promise I'm not gonna run off with your art without paying, but if you absolutely insist I -may- be willing to confirm the trade on my end if you send me a watermarked piece and then send the full piece after the trade is completed. **Please note that when I start the trade it will only be for the base price. I like to tip artists who do good work for me, so if you've confirmed the trade and I change the amount to include your tip, you'll have to re-confirm it. I will usually post that you need to re-confirm once I add the tip.

So what am I looking for?
So far as style, for my characters I am looking for more serious, reference picture quality work than anything, but I accept some chibi/anime styles. I prefer CG, but am not averse to natural media. I do highly prefer coloring to sketches/lineart, but if I like your stuff I can be flexible. As for size, I prefer half (waist-up), 3/4 (knees or shins up) or full (head to toe) body pictures over anything, but will commission busts and headshots from time to time.

For Irideth I'm looking for artists who will draw landscapes, cities, maps, etc, but also I'm looking for people to help design the looks of Irideth's races and people as well as the looks of Irideth's dieties. Many of the Irideth pieces will be freeform where I provide you with a basic outline and leave the whole design up to you, so if you enjoy freedom of creativity then the Irideth project is for you.
