Hyvää iltaa,
Things have been rather... I think to say the word 'slow' is an understatement. It's more like stagnent for the most part, which also gives you a better mental image. Although I just compared my life to a swamp, we have done a few exciting things in the summer so far.
Just yesterday we went to visit Pirate and I's friends at a Boy Scout Camp. That was interesting, not to mention a ton of fun. Raven didn't seem to take a liking to the lake, but I doubted she would. She did go in up to her knees though and I was very proud of her for that. Rae wasn't the only one facing fears though. xD
I swaaam in the lake. And even more disturbing, I enjoyed swimming in the lake. The world, I believe, just ended. xDDD I guess you have to understand the extreme disliking I have for lakes, ponds, oceans, rivers, etc. Them + me = hatred. It's safe to say we don't get along. But like Pirate told me, I guess it was just the fact all my friends were there and I wanted to have fun with them. :3
Other than that, the day went well. Raven loved counting all the deer we saw. There were at least 10. Though the 2-3 hour drive up and back was rather difficult for her to remain seated. Haha, though I think it was difficult for all of us. But over all it was a very enjoyable day for everyone.
Currently, Raven is taking a nap on the living room couch. I know she misses Aaron greatly, whether she'll admit it or not. I've been thinking about taking a trip down to the shop. I wonder what has been going on lately and how everyone has grown. I can only imagine what has been going on in our absence.
I hate the fact that we've been gone away from the wonderful place for so long but we just haven't had the time to get down there. I plan on changing that very soon though. Rae needs to be around kids her age and play and make her own friends.... other than spending all her time around mommy and my friends. I have a feeling she might be growning up too fast.
Maybe we'll get back in touch with everything when we get back from vacation in August. Then is when we'll probably have the most time to settle back in. I'm guessing this is going to be my plan since we're leaving for Geneva On The Lake, Ohio in just seven days. It would seem pointless to become reinvolved and then have to rip Rae away for 11 days again.
Oh jeeze, right now we're getting ready to go to the drive-in movie theater. Pirate is coming too, it's going to be a ton of fun. We're going to see Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest again for the third time. What can I say, it's an amazing movie.
I need to go wake up Raven to get her ready now. I'll be sure to keep updated a lot more often though. It feels nice to finally be writing in here. It's been on my mind to do so for a while now, and I've finally got around to it. Okay, I should really be on my way now. D:
