Moved to site feedback.
Use this thread to report problems with Gaia Cards.
Before you do, please read the FAQ located here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12582052
If you are making a new post related to this issue please include:
1) Approximate day and time of problem.
2) estimate of how long you were playing Gaia Cards before things went wrong.
3) How many tickets and tokens did you have before you started playing, and how many did you have after you cashed out and quit?
4) At any time did you get an error telling you that your session could not be kept alive?
Please remember to:
- press the cash out and quit button.
- don't press the next quit button on the cash out confirm box, don't close your game window
- wait 30 seconds
- In another window, open or refresh your inventory page
- compare the ticket number in the cards window with the number you see in your inventory.
It looks like most users, including myself, are able to connect to the cards server, but some users are getting the red/yellow loading bar endlessly.
We are working on a fix for this. In the meantime, I would suggest to those who are getting the red/yellow load bar to wait several minutes. I have seen some computer systems sit and load for 7 minutes before loading the room list.
If you are reporting this probem please tell me:
1) windows, mac or other?
2) browser?
3) do you know the version of the flash plug-in you are using?
ninja Remember, your game progress is secretly auto-saved, so you can always return to exactly where you were in the game even if you quit and come back days later.
To everybody who posted re: ticket/token loss:
During the initial release of cards, and subsequently, but less frequently, many users did not have their tickets saved correctly. At the same time, often, the server was rarely using up tokens, so many players were almost playing for free, racking up tickets without losing tokens. Users who reported lost tickets or tokens during the initial release of Cards have had some or all of their lost tickets reimbursed as of 3/29/2006. All reports of lost tickets/tokens were cross referenced with detailed logs kept during the times that the server was not responding. Many who received only a portion all of the tickets they reported missing did so because at the same time the server was not using their tokens, or logs indicated that the actual amount of tickets lost was less than the amount reported.
Again, I am truly sorry for the frustration these glitches have caused, and I thank all those who have take the time to post here in this thread explaining their problems. Thank you for your help. Without your help it would have taken much longer to fix the elusive problems with the cards sever.
