Hey Everyone,
I'm having the most difficult time ever lately keeping up with Gaia, so I'm announcing a temporary closing of the charity. Most likely just until the end of October, when a few things I'm busy with are finished. So no applications please. Thanks a bunch!

I started this charity because I remember how hard it was to get going as a newbie. I'm hoping to help newbies by donating them an item to help them get started. Pretty simple, right?

Items donated will be 300g or less

You are eligible if
You have been on Gaia for less than four weeks (28 days) (NO MULES PLEASE! Give the real newbies a chance!)
You have at least 20 posts.
You complete the questions listed in post #3 IN SEPARATE POSTS. This will help you earn a little extra gold too!

1.Please do not flame others, cyber, advertise, or beg in my thread. Thanks.
2. Please read the ENTIRE first page. You might want to check out page two as well. This will help you do things correctly! You shouldn't have any trouble understanding the directions if you read!
3.No page stretching please.
4.Please post messages that are readable. I spend a lot of time on the computer, and I've seen pretty much everything, but thanks to home-schooling I prefer good grammar. It's much easier to read, don't you think?
5.Please follow any other TOS that I haven't previously mentioned.
6. Please be patient if I don't reply immediately. I'm on almost every day, but things happen.

A REMINDER: You are eligible if:
You have been on Gaia for less than four weeks (28 days)
You have at least 20 posts

The History of the HoneyBee Charity


Well, there isn't much, 'cause this is new!

The idea started in January 2006. Planning began in February 2006 and it took me about a month to complete the plans and gather the needed gold!

The official opening date for the Charity was March 11, 2006.

March 15, 2006 - First Newbie! And first donation!

April 11, 2006 - The charity has reached it's 1st month anniversary and has given 8 donations so far! Thanks for a great first month! I appreciate all the support!

May 10, 2006 - Well tomorrow is the 2nd anniversary of the charity and we are up to 35 donations! That's 27 donations for month two! Awesome! Thanks to everyone who is supporting me!

June 16, 2006 - I was on vacation for the charities three month anniversary, but as of today we are up to 71 donations! so we had 8 donations for month one, 27 donations for month two and 36 for month three!

June 23-27, 2006 - we participated in our first charity event! The Conspiracy project by Santa Claus! It was awesome and the charity recieved lots of gold to help it along! Thanks Santa and everyone who participated!

July 12, 2006- We've reached four months and are up to 93 donations! 22 donations for month four. yay!

August - I completely missed the five month anniversary. oops

August - Participated in our second charity event, The Safari by Santa Claus! Sylvester the Shamrock Monkey came to visit!

September 16, 2006 - our six month charity event has been a ton of fun. I'm loving it! more details to be posted later!

THE HONEYBEE CHARITY
SIX MONTH GAIAVERSARY EVENT!

On March 11, 2006, I opened this charity, and now, it has been six months of donating to newbies!
As of Sept. 8, 2006 there have been 112 donations!
To celebrate, I'm hosting a small event on Saturday, September 16, 2006.


EVENTS:

1. FORMER NEWBIE GIVEAWAY!
This giveaway is for the 112 people who have previously received a donation. They do not have to do anything to enter. I will use a random number generator and pick 20 people to win 100g. If someone does not complete the trade within a week, I'll move on to the next person on the list.

You can compare this to the donation list to see if you are one of them.

This charity is run by Simona aka Honeybee2299 on Gaia. I joined Gaia in October 2005 and have had a great time with it. I've enjoyed talking to people and learning how things work, and I'm excited to help others out!

How'd I end up with 13 posts on the first page? That's unlucky! Just kidding.
It's actually 'cause I screwed up twice trying to make the pretty "thought" design instead of the regular one.
When you try to post too fast and you use the back button on your browser, it reset to the regular one and I didn't notice it twice in a row.
oops. That's what I get for not paying attention. A reminder of it FOREVER!
