Welcome to Friends of the Chatterbox! This is a place to just hang out, share stories, pictures, or just be completely random.

I'm not really sure while the entire first page is devoid of posts ( D: ) but it makes this thread kind of unique, I suppose. xD

This thread was created when I decided to retire from my years spent on Gaia. While I left over two years ago, the thread continues to live on, and has sparked many, many friendships throughout Gaia!

There is a very large bunch of dedicated people to this thread, and while I barely know any of them (save a few) they're the most awesome people ever. Give them some thanks and a hello if you're just dropping by!

In the future this might be turned back into a prize thread every so often randomly, but as I have a lot of college stuff and real life stuff going on, I barely make it online as it is. Plus, I'm kind of poor on this game now since I gave everything away! So give me some time and I may or may not come back regularly and start being generous again.

Regardless, this is THE place to be! Get to know some people, have some fun, and chat away, you'll have a great time with great company, I promise!

The Giveaway!


What can I win?
Well, the only thing that's set in stone is the fairy wings every 1,000 pages! Otherwise, prizes are given at random, some to award people for activity, others because they have a link in their profile to their quest or I've caught something they've said about something they want. I am also going to be setting up a buying thread in the marketplace, and whatever I get there will be used directly for this thread! Nothing too huge, but hopefully some items well worth it. Donations are also always appreciated as well, and will be used to give you guys stuff! I love giving stuff out. :3 In the future I might also through out some contests, raffles, or lottos, so keep checking back!
Yep, it's that simple! Just be active! However, the rules are as follows:

  • You may not spam. This includes posting one word posts like "Bump," "Hi," "Lol," "OMGWTFKKB," or anything that isn't considered a "real" post. Remember, this is a literate discussion thread, and we're here to make friends, not to see who can spam the most!
  • This goes along with the previous rule, but you may not just post an emote and be done with it. This counts as spam. Posting excessive emotes will also make me come to your house and give you a well-deserved kick in the rear.
  • No trolling/flaming. No, you're not cool, and no, we won't feed you.
  • Thread is PG-13. Follows pretty much the same rules as Gaia.
  • For the love of God, don't beg or ask me to donate to you. Linking me to your quest also does not count as a qualified post. I won't donate to you, and it will hurt you more than harm you, as I tend to randomly donate to regulars who hang out and chat and don't ask for anything and have links to quests in their sig. Asking me to donate earns you a big fat block, and I'll never see your quest again. Don't ruin it for yourself.
  • NO ADVERTISING. This counts for quests, giveaways, market threads (or whatever the hell you crazy kids call that place these days), websites, profiles, guilds, etc. Don't do it, or I'll unleash evil spirits upon you and your family. Can I really do that? Better not try to press your luck!
  • I reserve the right to add or change any rules at my discretion. I'm pretty easy-going, so I usually don't, but just in case. *wink*

  • If you just come in here randomly and be the first to post on the 1000th page, then you will not receive the wings. The prize will go to the first dedicated poster on the 1000th page. So stick around!
    That's it for the rules, not too bad, right? Just keep these in mind and you'll have a great time, we're a great bunch of people here. Break any of these rules and unfortunately I'll have to block you and then you can never come in here again. :<

    I joined FotCB: Because I was poor little newbie who though Fairy Wings were so friggin' awesome and expensive and I was like 'ho snap!' Then I met some cool people, lost the thread and came back one day, saw FotCB and was like 'HI PEEPS!'
    My favorite color is: Er, I can't stick to one color. But I can tell you I hate most pinks and some yellows.

    My favorite book is: <3 Omgawd This is hard. I'm a total book worm. HP, Freak Show, Luna, Lolita, May Bird, Warriors, Uglies. Books of Blood etc~

    I can't get enough of: Chocolate, books and Coca Cola. There is no hostile Pepsi takeover in my house!
    If my life had a theme song, it would be: Something tencho-y about insanity, medication and randomness with like an upbeat feel to it :3
    An interesting fact about me: I eat a lot of things with pb. Scrambled eggs, fruit, vegetables. And I eat heated tortillas with maple syrup xD I eat a lot period. I could eat a Large pizza by myself since I was 6 :3

    My favorite color is: Erm, red, black, blue, white...then the rest of the rainbow.
    My favorite movie is: Don't really have one, I get addicted to one as I go along P:
    My favorite book is: Well, I don't really read that much and I've been procrastinating a book for over a year now. But by the ones I read and the one reading now I'd say "The Giver" and "Storm Thief".
    If I had to choose between cake or cookies, I would choose: Cookies, no wait cake. No, cookie! Wait, the cake is I lie, if I eat it do I tend to lie? But the cookie is scrumchious but I could end up becoming a cookie monster. Meh, both!
    I can't get enough of: Boredom, it tends to get to me without even trying.
    If my life had a theme song, it would be: Yackity Sax...lol, that would bring fun to my life.
    An interesting fact about me: I'm serious, and if I don't like something I can be blunt but a side of me says be nice. But I am pretty much indesecive of my attitude and personality. I guess it comes and goes. Not bipolar though.

    I joined FotCB: Since the dawn of time... More accurately, when this thread was created.
    My favorite color is: Different shades of blues. The purples are a close second.
    My favorite movie is: Oh gods, it's hard to chose. Well, recently I watched Up so it's one I very much like at the moment.
    My favorite book is: Another question that's hard to answer... Well to name a few off the top of my head... I liked The Da Vinci Code with the way the puzzles and information blended. Harry Potter is a guilty pleasure. From school, I very much enjoyed Slaughterhouse-Five and also One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
    If I had to choose between cake or cookies, I would choose: Cookies. Yum. Though cupcakes are good too. <3
    I can't get enough of:Chinese and Japanese food. My favorite. Also going out with friends because I love being social. And I can't get enough of Los Angeles because it's where I'm born and where I grew up and also where I'm continuing to go to school. Love my sunny weather.
    If my life had a theme song, it would be: Bad Day by Daniel Powter. Maybe. Because although the lyrics talks about the bad stuff that happen to you, the uplifting melody seems to give you hope. And that's how I like to see life as sometimes. When there's bad, hopefully good is not too far behind it.
    An interesting fact about me: Music is a love of mine. I love listening to it. I love singing to it. I love playing it. I just love it. I'm not going to make a career out of it. I must admit I'm not that fantastic when it comes to instruments. So I'm fine with just dabbling with music as a hobby. One of my biggest accomplishments is marching in the 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on New Years Day. It was FANTASTIC. <3
