The basic definition for a 'Furry' is an anthropomorphized animal character. In other words, an animal character given human-like attributes, such as sapiens and often a humanoid form. The term 'Furry' is an inappropriate name, as a creature does not need to have fur to be 'Furry' in this sense. Other terms sometimes interchangeable with a 'Furry' in this sense are 'zoomorph', 'morph', 'anthro' or [debatably] 'funny animal'.

The core definition of a 'Furry' seems to include basically humanoid-formed creatures with animal faces, fur/scales/feathers/whatever, and often appropriate tails, wings, claws, etc., able to speak, and with a human-like personality, though quite often with 'quirks' hinting at the real-life animal upon which the character is based.

February 17- We at Omegatech Labs have discovered a small cove full of a variety of different species of animals living co-insidingly with each other. Many of these species included the common housecat and dogs to the rarer species of dragon and even mermaids. We decided to study these animals a bit further before we decide if we shall move on or not.

This report came from a scientist a week before the tests began. The group of scientists that found the cove have taken some of the animals residing there, mainly mice and rats, to their labs where they wanted to try out some serums they had previously created but never tried.
Of course, many of the serums were failures, leaving the animals badly mutated that they couldn't be released back into the wild or dead. This lasted for a month or so until a good serum was found. Though this serum wasn't exactly what they were looking for, it would have to do. Instead of an instantanious transformation, it had a delay of two weeks, followed by another week, then a whole month.
What they had suceeded in creating was an animal with a human form, an anthropomorph, or what they have dubbed... a Furry. With this done, the scientists then began creating serums that can alter the Fur even more; from one that speeds the growth by half, to one that can add or even lose a species of the Fur. All these new serums had less tragic endings since they now knew the general formula.
Several months later, they returned to the Cove and released the new Furs back. To much of their surprise, they were still accepted among the others that have not been changed yet. They also found that back in the labs, that the Furs had learned how to talk from listening to them.
With that, the scientists hired contractors to build a city a few miles away from the Cove, so if the newly anthro'd animals wanted to reside there, they could. Numerous buildings were built; from houses, complexes and apartments to stores and other things that they might need.
They also built another Omegatech Labs within the city just in case people came by wanting one as a pet, seeing on how loyal and compassionate these animals were.

December 7- The serum to turn the animals into Furs, among the others, were all a sucess. We have reintroduced them back into the Cove, which we have named, 'The Furry Cove' and the city, "Omega City' is very close to completion. In a few days, the city and the cove will be open to people wanting to just visit or perhaps pick up one of these Furries for pets.
Unfortunately, somehow we had misplaced many serums that transform Furs into new, rare forms. we believe they are scattered through the Cove and the City. No matter, we will be able to create more someday. But besides this small set back, this has been a complete sucess.

Here are the explanations of all the stages that the Furries go through.

Baby- This is the stage that most Furries start off as. In this form, the Furry is in its original animal shape, due to the fact that the serum injected into it hasn't activated yet. Here you have a ball [whether of fur, scales or feathers] of excess energy. When it's not running around, or having an accident [Yes, it needs to be house broken], you can find it eating or sleeping. It takes a lot to take care of these bundles; it takes, responsibility, dedication... but most of all, patience. But the hassle is worth it in the end, if you pull through and take care of them properly, you can watch your little creature grow to its child stage.

Child- Here is where the serum takes effect and changes the animal into its anthro form. The process isn't relatively painful, but it varies among species [like a snake would find it quite painful to suddenly grow arms and possibly legs]. In this form, the child doesn't sleep as much, nor has accidents in the house [but now comes potty training], but is as rambunctious and ravenous as ever. This is the critical stage that you start talking to your Furry, since this stage is when it starts absorbing what you say, so it knows how to talk when it's an adult. [Mind your language though]. This is also the stage where they begin to understand right from wrong, so teach them well, so they know what to do right in the next stage.

Teen- Here is the dreaded stage, the rebellious teen stage. No matter how close your Furry was to you, it will still be slightly rebellious toward you at times. Teens are drastically different from their child forms; they stay up then wake up late, they don't eat much and would prefer to sit and watch TV, than go out and play. If that wasn't bad enough, late in this stage, they'll be able to breed! But that's just some cases of species, there will still be some that keep their traits from when they were children. All Furries still love their parents, so just because it seems like they're not listening, doesn't mean to slow down or stop their teachings. Some might need more patience for this stage than they did for the last two stages. A month later, your Furry grows into its next and final stage. [Note: Males are larger than females.]

Adult- The final stage is one you don't have to worry about as much. They're a bit more independent now, but they still rely on you every now and again. Here is when they can talk completely [depending on how often and well you taught them] and you can hold conversations. Adults can now breed more often, have multiple kids and even have life mates now, [not like they couldn't when they were late teens]. Well, now that's over for you, don't you feel proud? You successfully raised a living...breeding... Furry. Perhaps you would like to raise more? Or go out in search for the serums to turn your now grown Furry into different forms? It's your decision.

What's this? Your Furry has more stages?! Well, more like different forms of it. Scientists have made five new serums to turn the Furries into new species, though two of them can be acquired without the use. But they have been lost and scattered throughout the Cove and the City that was built nearby. If you were or are one of the lucky ones who have found one or two of them, below is the summary of each of the new species. All serums, unless otherwise stated, can only be injected at the adult stage.

Taur- The first form is the Taur form. The word 'taur' is derived from the word 'centaur.' But instead of only having the typical upper body of a man and the body of a horse, the 'taur' can be of almost any species of animal. When the serum is administered, the transformation is instant yet painful, obviously with the sudden growth of an elongated spine and extra limbs. Taur's general size depends on the species, but they are the largest of the forms and even the largest of creatures are quite agile, though it takes awhile for them to get used to using all four limbs. Usually no changes of personality occur, but there are rare occasions that it does, but it depends on the Fur. The serum can only be administered at the adult stage, though there are rare occasions baby Taurs will be found. The Taur stage is the only stage that can be injected once more with one of the other serums.

Angelic- Here is the most common form found in most pets. In most cases, this form is acquired by how the pet behaves or by finding it. But in the case of Furries, they can turn Angelic by means of a serum or their behavior. If the Fur is; kind, gentle, compassionate, or otherwise very angelic in nature, there's a possiblilty that it might transform into an Angelic being. Although one can easily turn a Fur with the serum if one has it, there is one distinct feature that the serum cannot give. When the serum is given, the Fur gains the feathered wings and stops there. If the Fur changes through its behavior, it too gains the wings, but depending on how good it is, it might even acquire a golden halo over its head. Just like the Taur serum, it can only be administered in the adult stage, but a rare baby can be found every now and again.

Demonic- The Demonic being is pretty much the same as the Angelic, with the exception of having leathery bat-like wings instead of feather bird-like wings. One can acquire a Demonic Furry in the same ways as one who had gotten an Angelic Furry, by either use of the correct serum or their behavior will cause the transformation. Again, both serum and behavioral transformations lead into the fur gaining the bat-like wings, it is only the case of behavioral that there is a slight chance at growing horns. Like most of the serums, it can only be administered during the adult stage, but a rare baby can be found.

Now that all the new forms have been explained and how they're acquired, you're probably wondering, "How do I get a hold of one or two of the serums?" Well, the answer is; you really can't unless you are one of the lucky ones who happen to find one of the many lost serums taht are scattered throughout the Cove and the city that they built near it.
You also might be wondering, "Can I inject another serum once I already applied one?" The answer is; Yes and no. The only form that can be injected with another serum is the Taur form and with only one of the other serums. If you wish to have a cross with an Angelic and a Demonic for example, you're going to have to breed it.
Another question you might have is, "Are there anymore forms that you're not telling us about?" Answer; no, but if you wish to have more, send a suggestion [PM] to the scientists [XFurry~Cove or [X]Natty-Chan[X]] with the title of "New Fur Form" and then list your suggestion(s).

Like most pets, these can breed and produce more, new species of Furries. Unlike most pets though that can only breed when they're adults, Furries can breed in the last week of their teen stage. The species don't even have to be the same in order to breed. Members of the same gender can also breed, but require a special item do so. Furries can produce one to six offspring, with a limit to only three times, if married, they can produce unlimited amounts of breedings. Once the child or children are born, they are able to be kept with one of the parents or be given away to a new owner... the in-law's decision. Even though Furries have multiple births at time, there's still the chance of identical twins in some rare cases. Just be sure you're prepared to take care of your new arrivals.

Information needed to know
-Breeding costs 12k.
-The owners of the Furries to be bred should decide how they're going to pay for it.
-The owner who pays the most of the total gets to decide what happens to the child/children.
-Must Rp to get married, but not necessary to breed. It is preferred; though don't use it as an excuse to cyber.
-Rping can increase the chance of having more children.
-Furries to be bred must be in its last week of being a teen at least before it can breed.
-Can only breed three times at most unless married.
-MalexMale and FemalexFemale couples can breed as long as the required item is present.
-On rare occasions more than two owners can get together and breed their Furries, at most 4. The price is 16k.
