Petals of Chaos
From the land of endless nights come I
an alien from afar
so much like you
yet so unalike
Am I the you
you were
when your world was new
or am I the you
you will be
~Paraphrasing Leonard Nimoy

Many, many years ago, when the world was barely from it's cradle came many wars. Both on Gaia and in the Heavens. Many angels fell and many demons rose, both to power and to fame. Between them, they fought over the precious land.

Tales passed down through the generations tell of a simple bard woman, who with the help of the god Morpheaus sought to protect the mortals. This was of course before Gaia herself nurtured the fantastic creatures who exist here today. She went before the angels and the demons and proposed a game. One that would decide the fate of the world.

"Seven chosen champions
Whether mage, warrior or serf
All are equal in the game.

"Many will try
Many will fail
Only the chosen can enter
Only the chosen can pass
Blessed and gifted
turn from the world
decide your fate
decide for the world

"Two to keep it fair
Two to keep it balanced
Only pure
Only devoted
to the game."

So 'gifts' were sent out to the world. Seven divided petals of soul. The two devoted pawns were challenged to find the seven champions. It was up to the champions however to fin the petals. In their hands, the petals would become something greater, and they themselves would become something more than they were.

Among those seven, one would emerge the champion. It would be his choice that would decide the fate of the world. His words would become legend.

Temple of Chaos

In the vast nothingness between the tri city area of Barton, Duram and Gambino lies the wasteland known as the Void. There is no life, energy swirls but is unharnessable. Magic goes astray and mages fear for their lives. Even mortals dare not enter the void for fear of losing their mind or soul. Many a tale has been told of the men losing their minds or their souls to the Void as price of passage.

In the center of the Void however, is a temple. The Temple of Chaos, which claims to have knowledge of before Gaia was created. Knowledge of the truly divine. Rumors abound, but no one has ever dared enter and returned to prove this tale myth or fact. All we have is a simple description from unknown sources.

Square in shape, the Temple reached to the heavens and appears to be made of some obsidian like crystal, except for the fact it appears completely see through. Or at least that one sees other crystals through it. But nothing on the inside can be seen at all. At the front of the building is two large gate like doors made of the same material. Other than this entrance, Neither window nor door mars the sheer perfection of this crystal like stone structure.

On the inside is four rooms. One large room upon which rests an alter. Behind the alter is another door, which leads to three other rooms from one central hallway. There is no way to tell how large or small the rooms are, they simply appear to be as large or as small as needed.
After Rafe had laid her down to sleep, stripping off her clothing and placing her in one of his old shirts to make sure she was comfortable, Samantha had tossed and turned, mumbling in her sleep, till the old man who saw her like a a daughter couldn't take it anymore and had gotten to go get drunk.

Shortly after he had left however, Samantha woken up, her hand clutched around the pendant on her neck, mesmerized by something only she could see. She stood, not paying attention to her dress and began walking, guided only by the strange light her charm bracelet was now glowing with. She walked through pre dawn Barton. A few predators of the various noobish sort that wandered through Barton thought to assault her but though better of it a moment later. There was just something a little too creepy about the redhead in just a nightshirt and a pair of pink panties and white socks wandering through Barton Town for them to feel comfortable about messing with her.

However, she didn't take the ferry to Gambino, nor did she walk the path to Durem. Instead, she walked into the reaches of the Void, the one place where most, mortal and non alike feared to tread. One step in and then her path was swallowed by the wild 'sands' of the 'desert'. She simply followed her some unseen compass, wherever they were, letting it lead her through.

Eventually, she found herself at the Temple, several hours later, in fact it was almost night again. The Dusk highlighted the odd crystal strangely, reflecting off the many colors of the sky but having them shimmer off as well, leading to an almost blinding effect.

She put her hand to the massive doors and watched them slide open as if they had been waiting for her. Mutely, she walked in further, her head glancing about as if looking, but instead they saw nothing, only more crystal. Each set of doors opened before her until at last she came to an altar.

One step, then another before she placed her hand down on the 'marble' What happened then, she would never be able to explain. A bright flare of light and the next thing she knew, she was drifting in and out of conciousness while her body rested on the alter and what appeared to be a puddle of blood was under her.
"Mr. Conrad~! I love you too!" The man in question did not even glance her way. Instead he was too busy with his face nestled tight into the bosom of another who happened to be saying the same thing. It was like an orgy of boobage in the backseat.

The black stretch limo of Nicholai Conrad had windows as tinted as dark as they could be. Nothing could be seen of the inside by the people they were passing. The moonlight district of Durem was where some of the more exquisite clubs were. People marched by on either side as street lights and flashing neons worked to cast reflections on his windows and failed.

That is not why some people were watching watching the limo though. Instead most seemed to follow it by instinct; noticing the two black jeeps before it and behind. Both were packed with four people who seemed to be keeping an eye on everything. Like some dignitary was rolling through the town and they were guarding him.

"Mr Conrad..." No response. "Mr. Conrad Sir." Once again no response other then the loud giggling of the Bunny-Six as they climbed all over the mountain of a man. Claudia - Conrad's secretary - pointedly looked away from the horrible spectacle. Unfortunately Hex Hector - Conrad's Bodyguard - had important buisness with the man. Buisness that certainly could not wait until the Bunnies had finished their group lap-dance.

"Mr Conrad Sir!" His voice shot up in volumn to almost a shout. It was intimidating for sure. The reaction of the Bunny-Six jumping and two screaming showed that. Hex was a big man - bouncer type all the way - and bald. At a glance it could be a toss up between him being mexican and hispanic; he had the skin-tone for either. But with a pair of shades on and his formal black suit - with a very noticable gun at his waist - no one was missing him. Definetly not a man you wanted screaming at you.

Claudia shot him a look of distaste at the outburst. Not that he paid much attention to her. The prim and proper ex-supermodel seemed out of place in the enviorment. With the dark neon blue dimmers all over the back seat and filling it with a pale glow. A center table with three glassed of wine. With her white skirt and thin glasses over blue eyes - even though he knew she had perfect vision - it just seemed so out of place. Though the real spectacle they were both trying hard to ignore.

"Whadda'ya want Hector?" Both turned to look into the back of the limo at their employer. Three of the Bunny-Six had been dumped off of him at the shout. The remaining three - two of which looked suspiciously young - clung to his handy dandy rolls in fear. Not that Conrad seemed to mind much as he peeked over the obviously fake yet dominant rack of a brunette who looked no older then sixteen.

Somewhere in his festivities the toupee had been knocked off so that his bald head showed clear with two thin streams of grey forming what could be called a half-ring around his head. With a flushed face and his eyes thin and beady - dialated in extacy and drunken splendor. This was not a man to hold his appearance as once Vice President of Creation Corp. But that is what he was - the one and only person left to receive the legacy of Mr. Carlise.

Claudia pointedly coughed into her hand as Hector faltered in disgust of his employer. He recovered at a reasonable rate - at least enough to snap off a quick, "Sir; we should be arriving soon. " A quick glance to Claudia for confirmation as she pressed a few buttons on her cell. Within seconds her text message was returned and she shot him a nod. So they were already out of the Durem city limits.

"I see. Well then;" Conrad faltered in his words as he pushed the brunette - who seemed content grinding against him - right off his lap and onto the floor. Her shout of alarm was ignored by all as he continued. "This is your area Hector. Have your men ready to protect me." The man in question nodded his assent and got busy on his cellphone.

Conrad's head slowly girated around his thick neck towards Claudia. Immediately she went to attention. "Claudia dear," His tones sickly sweat and endearing as he looked not at her eyes but at her chest. ", please prepare your little 'craft'. I'm not sure if the entrance will be there or not." The blonde sharply nodded as she set to work - two fingers forming various sigels and seals before her. He honestly had no idea what she was doing. But thats why he had a pet witch, mage, or whatever she wanted to call herself on the payroll.

Within minutes the limo came to a stop. It took a moment for the door to be opened - as the eight had to file out of their jeeps and rush across the sand. First Hector and then Claudia got out and stood on either side of the door. After them the Bunny-Six poured out and quickly moved to the side. They had no idea what was going on. But Conrad paid nicely. So anything was a blessing to them.

And then poped out the man himself. Literaly popping as he had to step out sideways so that his girth could fit. His toupee remained lost in the limo and his head shown brilliantly. The customary suit clung tight to every roll and curve of his spherical form. Black and indigo for the occasion with gaudy golden jewelery on his fingers and a rolex for each wrist. A mighty black clove cigarette dangled in his right hand with thick curls of smoke. Everything about this man was thick - everything was expensive - and everything was gaudy. But thats what made him who he was.

With his arrival the eight men fell into ranks around the two. The Bunny-Six were long forgotten as Hector walked them towards the second Jeep and ushered them into it. Having them along had not been his idea - but he certainly was not going to let them hang around.

"Claudia," The women snapped to attention as Conrad spoke to her. "while I am gone remember the plan. You are to assume command." For once he actually looked in her the eyes. They were kind of pretty too though her rack was better. She seemed to not even notice as she nodded and started barking orders to his men. They fell away from Conrad like the red sea as he started forward into the desert. From behind him he heard her calling for them to assume ranks and start drawing a sigel - more of that magical nonsense she so loved.

That was not important to him anymore though. Instead he idly fingered the item in his pocket as his designer shoes mowed over the loose sand. Very vaguely did the man know where he was going - what was there - and what he was supposed to do. But Mr. Carlise had been percise in what he wanted and what he needed - what to do in this situation. Granted he was not Mr. Carlise but he would dare say he was almost as good. It was these kind of thoughts that kept him from noticing the gradual change in scenery as he watched the compass in his hand.

"Well ain't that a sight..." Smart words from an obvious genius man. The fat cigar hanging off his lip swerved to the right. Nervous habit commencing; chewing on the rich and expensive paper used to roll it. Both hands kept up a steady rhythm of smoothing down his tie with firm grip.

Hell; who was he trying to kid. His hands were jerking so bad that it was becoming a reasonable fear of him ripping the thing off. The Temple was big. Sure; he had kind of figured it would be a grand place. All these religious dealies were big and elaborate; waste of good money they were. But this was just something else entirely.

Back, back, and even further still his neck craned in an attempt to see past the place. With the doors before him and the bleak sky behind his courage was quickly dwindling. This is not what he had been led to believe in. The research did not mention any of this. Was it wrong? Was this all an elaborate joke? And the final question that was really starting to dwell in his head: had he just stumbled into Hell? He expected more fire and brimstone.

A nervous little chuckle broke his lips - along with the dead silence of the place - as he reached for the door. His hand did not even get close to the dark crystaline foundation. With a creak that was far too removed from a horror movie they swung open.

It took a good five minutes for him to stop holding his arms over his face and quivering in terror. Before him the path and beyond that crystal and more crystal along with darkness. His mind told him to go back but his body and pride refused. His body for lack of ability to move. Pride fought a long standing battle to not give up when he had come this far. A quick glance over his shoulder and he gulped audibly - there might not even be a way back.

For all he cared or knew it could have been an escalator taking him inside. Once his feet started moving - one simple step forward - they carried him forward. It almost felt as if another had taken up root and was pushing him on what he was starting to refer to as a suicide march.

Not even once did the sole of his designer shoes miss a beat in skidding across the floor. The rustle of his designer suit as he walked. It was all that seemed to exist in this place. Him and crystaline walls and doors. Close a door; open one with thoughts interrupting thoughts. His mind a cluttered mass as he moved on the revealing path. Far past the stage where he could even fake bravery. Terrified more like it. All too real the feeling of being in water; drinking and breathing at the same time.

Perhaps that is why his reaction was so enthusiastic when he found her. Double doors opening before him and the alter coming into view. At that point Conrad did not even care. He ran for the body on sight - living or dead did not matter. Fat form waddling almost as he moved fast as possible for him. Rather then come to a stop he threw himself at the alter and thus the body.

One hand impacted the alter just to the right Sam's body. A flash of light lit the room and that was it. There was a momentary impression of something he could not explain - something he did not like at all. Briefly recieving a flash of his body laid out across the alter as if some strange outer body experience from Hell. And then amongst his own screams losing consiousness.
Slowly from the land of unconciousness did Sam finally drift, the bright light of the now glowing blood pounding it's way into her eyesight. Painfully, she lifted one arm of her nightshirt to find it coated in blood. "Ugh.." She then turned to look at her companion, a bit startled to find Conrad there.

"Conrad..."

She looked terribly vunerable then as she tried to shake the obese man into conciousness. Her green eyes seemed to take up her entire head, making her appear much younger than her years. The nightmare had gotten worse then she could imagine.

"We need to get out of here..."
Obviously this was paradise. The entire group of Bunnies - thirteen in all - dancing all over the couch he occupied. Best of all the faces looked as good as the little white cotton tails swinging all over. Surely this was the perfect situation as his girth laid side down on the couch. As a particularly tasty morsel of flesh drifted close his massive slug-like tail slapped the floor...what the hell?

Waking up came quick after he realized he was a Hutt. This was something of a reoccuring dream - he had it often. A nightmare really as no underaged piece of sugar could tempt after that. Not to say he did not...

What was this?

With eyes thin slitted - as if still asleep - he looked up into a face that could have come from his dream. Just as nice to admire and by view just as young. Quick rolling inspection behind his eyelids. Oh yes indeed this one was of the newer generation. It did not even phase him that this was not one of the bunnies and he was not sprawled out on his bed.

"Haha..." Voice groggy and uncaring as the mound of a belly bounced with the chuckle. "Daddy'll take good care of ya when he wakes up. Go and change into something exotic...preferably without an a**." And with that vision of ettiquite he rolled over onto his stomach in one great heave to the right that would be on Sam if she was in that direction.
Sadly, she was and was rolled upon. "Get up, you pompous pig!" her voice echoing off the walls of the room they were in. Such a lovely position for the bloodstained and stressed woman to be in really. But it had one nice advantage, it left her knee perfectly positioned and up it went into a rather sensitive area.

"We need to get out of here!" Scrambling away from him as quickly as possible after that.
"Oh-ho-ho; Pappy likes it when his girls are rou-" He was muttering low and drowsily right up until his sensitive bits got pegged. If Sam were really paying that much attention she might notice a certain...lacking in development. But that was an ongoing project that was taken place over time for a low cost. Counting each bottle only costed; totally getting off track here.

She totally got lucky as he rose up with a mighty roar of pain. Almost like a lion's call; except he rose in a fashion more fitting of a tidal wave. Crashed down with just as much grace too. You could almost see the rolls of his belly pushing in and out on contact. Face planted dully right on the stone as he gave a mighty explosion of a heave.

His head gradually ground around to look at Sam - eyes thin slitted and beady. This was totally not fun. Such a nice dream up until a few seconds ago too...

Eyes got a bit more squinty as he looked her over. Yeah; suspicions confirmed. Big sigh as he rose up to a kneel and then waddled to a stand on the altar. "What a bad dream...abuse and then a trap..." Deep sigh again. "Oh well...beggars cant be choosers..."

His hand totally moving on his groin as he spoke.
