A GreaseMonkey UserScript, (C) WindPower (Aka WindPowa)
WindPower's Link Fixer, unlike WindPower's URL Redirector, corrects the links right when the pages loads, in order to remove the following frame :
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

How does it work ? It changes the "href" property of all links that redirect you.

Get FireFox. It's, to date, the best browser available. It's free, open source, extensible, flexible, customizable, secure, and it pownz. And why do you think the two GaiaOnline toolbars are only available for FireFox, heh ? What are you waiting for ? Get it here.

Get GreaseMonkey.
This is a must. GreaseMonkey is a FireFox extension that allows the creation/execution of userscripts, small javascripts scripts that tweaks up the page.
Once installed, restart FireFox. Before doing so, don't forget to bookmark this thread/subscribe/copy its URL...

Install WindPower's Link Fixer. To do that, click here. once you've clicked, you'll be redirected with my URL redirector, then to the script itself. A yellow bar should show up. Click on the "Install" button to install my script, as shown in the screenshot below :

A message should appear :

I don't want FireFox crying
- Press Back. No use continuing.
Having trouble installing my script ? No bar shows up ?
- Make sure the monkey in FireFox's status bar is smiling and colored. If he's gray and unhappy, give him a little touch of happiness (= click it xd )
It says it's installed, but it does nothin'...
- Someimes, GreaseMonkey only activates its scripts after the page is fully loaded. Just wait... mrgreen
The monkey's happy but nothing happens !
- Right-click on it, and make sure that "GaiaOnline Link Fixer" is checked. If it ain't the case, just check it.

My script lets you say adios to the warning frame. It does not in any way mean that the page you will be linked to are all part of GaiaOnline. If you aren't sure, look at the URL. It should begin by http://www.gaiaonline.com/. If it doesn't, never ever, give out your password or whatever. If they ask you for your password, repot the site. Still unsure whether it's part of Gaia or not ? Copy and paste the URL, and use my URL Redirector. Open the generated TinyURL. If the warning message is not shown, the site is part of GaiaOnline, or should be.

UPDATE : The Link Fixer now checks if the site you are about to visit is part of Gaia or not, and warns you about it.

I loved your script so much that I've turned your script into a Firefox extension so the installation would be easier for those who are uneasy about installing Greasemonkey.

I've used your script from userscripts.org rather than the one you have here though.

Hey, this is kind of a pet peeve of mine, but it's Firefox, not FireFox. When you put CamelCase on it, it sounds like one of those "freeware" products that people only release for Windows and make you think they're spyware because they don't release the source, even though they aren't making a profit.

And, I recommend just presenting it as a Greasemonkey script, and maybe linking to the Greasemonkey website – I don't think people should have to install and use a whole new browser just for one script that acts upon one site. I think Firefox is a great browser (definitely the best one available on Windows, and one of the best on Linux, although I use Konqueror too), but the argument for that should be placed elsewhere.
