II. Setting and Story

Setting:
This roleplay is set in the same time period of the One Piece series--meaning it's not before or after Luffy's crew. (Sorry, no descendants of the Mugiwara Kaizokudan.) It will take place anywhere in North, South, East, or West Blue, or the Grand Line.

Story:
Spooki D. Donki is a young pirate from north blue. he sailed with his crew and made quite a name for himself for a few years. He ended up with a bounty of about 5,000,000 Berry. One day he was betrayed by his crew when he tried to attack a marine ship. Donki was turned in to the marines by his own sister for his bounty along with his ship, the SS Stowaway (for some added berry). Spooki D. Donki was placed in a marine base in north blue, but was able to escape with his life and even his ship. Donki is now looking for a new crew to be able to continue his piracy!

IV. Rules

*I am NOT trying to be mean or elitist or otherwise nasty with these rules! I know there are a lot! They're just guidelines to make everything much easier. Please bear with me!*

Race (One Piece races only! Merman, giant, Skypiean, etc.): Human! How boring! biggrin
Appearance (either a detailed description or a picture): Bandie is an average height brunette with medium-length hair that she keeps covered in a bandana unless she's asleep. She's very into colors, so she wears pretty much anything that looks striking enough. The avatar is one of her many colorful outfits. She wears a giant black spork strapped to her back.

Character's Past/History: Bandie is a bartender at her local tavern. She doesn't really dislike her job, but she always dreams of something a bit more exciting. Nothing much goes on in her town, so she hopes to someday get away.
What is your goal? (be original--don't just copy one from One Piece!): To open an award-winning restaraunt
Fighting Style: "Specials" -- for example, Monday Night Special, Saturday Night Potluck, etc.
Weapon of Choice: Her giant black war spork.

List some negative characteristics: can be obnoxious, likes to try her own cooking all the time, easily frustrated
What motivates your character?: She wants adventure and an exciting life, and she is always looking for new recipes she can potentially use for her future restaraunt.

If good, what position are you applying for?: Cook
Why would you be good at this/why do you want this position?: Bandie is obsessed with her cooking! She's had a lot of experience as a chef, and she is always willing to learn new things that can help her in her cooking.
If evil, what is it that makes you evil?: n/a

Do you have a Devil Fruit?: Yes
If so, what is the name of it? (example: Gomu-gomu no mi, Hana-hana no mi, etc.): Dadu-dadu no mi (Dud-dud)
What power does it give you?: Bandie's Devil Fruit is a dud--it gives her no power, but it still takes away her ability to swim. She got jipped.
What type is it? (paramecia, zoan, or logia): Paramecia
How and why did you eat your Devil Fruit?: Someone told her it was an exotic dessert. She fell for it, because she likes sweets too much.

How far have you seen/read in One Piece? (this BY NO MEANS will decide if you're accepted or not, it's just out of curiosity!): I've seen up to right before Foxy, and I've read a little bit past that, but not to Water 7.

She tends to wear warm clothes that seem thin, but are created from a durable material that keeps her warm when she needs it. She usually keeps her long hair in a high ponytail and tends to use it as a scarf when she forgets hers. [b]Character's Past/History:[/b] She grew up on Drum Island, working with an underground mafia that were planning to overthrow Wapol. When he fled the island, she continued her blueprints and got a job at her family's local drugstore, part-timing as a doctor. Her parents were killed by Wapol when he stormed into the shop and demanded that her parents work under him. But with the obvious outcome, they refused to heal for money, and were killed by Wapol's bodyguards. She went into depression for about a year, until she felt that the snow had stopped, and she walked outside to see. She came upon a new store, one she had never seen before, and went inside. The shopkeeper was a kindly old lady who seemed to have a knack for seeing into the future. She did not say what it would be like, but only offered a pretty blue fruit with silver swirls on it for the money in her pocket. Which wasn't much. Kea bought the fruit and took it home, she let it sit for a couple of days, worrying that it wasn't yet ripe. After she ate the bitter fruit and experienced strange powers, she returned to the shop, only to find it had disappeared. She left home after another couple of years, working at the drugstore that her parents left her, only to collect enough money for a boat and supplies. [b]What is your goal?:[/b] Her main purpose is to find more insight on the art of creation and design in the weapons aspect, and also to work on her doctoring skills. [b]Fighting Style:[/b] She uses her fists most of the time, but when the moment calls, she wil use her own weapons. [b]Weapon of Choice:[/b] She has a set of double break nunchucks, and they have secret compartments in each of them for quick getaway materials, like smoke bombs or pepper grinds. She also has a couple of Japanese daggers, but those are used only when she's extremely tired, or when she feels that she needs to kick serious a**. [b]What motivates your character?:[/b] She focuses on why she's on the sea, and her parent's wish that she lead an unregretted life. (Bird bird fruit) [b]What power does it give you?:[/b] This enables her to see further when she needs to, and it is able to magnify the distance by X1000. Better than a pair of binoculars. Because of this, she changes into an owl, and she can't use her hands to do anything. Even without using the power, she can still see quite well. [b]What type is it? (paramecia, zoan, or logia):[/b] Zoan - Model Owl (Snowy) . [b]How and why did you eat your Devil Fruit?:[/b] It was technically an accident. She found the fruit in an old antique store shortly after her parents were killed. She bought the fruit for a low price and after she experienced the effects, the store disappeared.
