Hanazakari no Kimitachi he, aka Hana-Kimi, is a great shoujo manga created by Hisaya Nakajo. Plot Summary:
Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese American, just transferred to a boarding school in Japan for one reason: To see her idol, Izumi Sano, jump in the high jump. There's just a couple problems. 1) It's an all boy's school, 2) she's pretending to be a boy, and 3) several people know her secret.
So far 12 mangas have been released. According to AnimeNewsNetwork.com Volume 13 will be released August 15, 2006, Volume 14 will be released October 17, 2006, and Volume 15 will be released December 19, 2006. The final Hana-Kimi was released in Japan November 11, 2004 after reaching its 23rd volume.
With many fans all over the world one question remains... Why hasn't it been turned into an anime yet? That is why I have you my friends.... So please, whether it is a pm, or posting here, please sign the petition to have Hana-Kimi turned into an anime. After we reach the 1000 signature mark, I will print off the list and send it to the author as well as the publisher and the publishing company.

I wold also like to add that petitions do sometimes make a difference. What one person sends in, several more people are usually thinking. Individual letters are a great help as well.
When the WB show Roswell was going to be cancelled, hundreds of people wrote in, many also sent it a bottle of tabasco sauce (understandable if you watched the show). It caused the network to continue the show for another season before it got sold to UPN (tv show graveyard, as far as I'm concerned).
The thing about petitions is that they let producers, and other pertinent people, know that the possible anime already has a market. The more numbers you have (and as much as I hate to say it, it's better if they're honest numbers), the greater a case you have. Producers are going to choose things that will sell. Because of high costs, they will probably only choose things (point in case, manga) that are already very popular. The point of the petition is to prove to these people, that the series, is indeed popular, and that there is a population willing to purchase the product if produced.
So, while your current goal is a thousand signatures, I would suggest that you continue to get signatures until your goal of Hana Kimi becoming an anime is a reality. Sort of a combination of petitioning and lobbying. Let the people who need to, know that a large amount of people want to see Hana Kimi as an anime, and keep them updated.
Oh yeah, about the manga itself...
I love Sano. I love Umeda. I like all the characters, but those two are my favorite. Right now I have 1, 7, 8, 9, and 10. How I managed to read, but not get 2 through six is beyond me, but I shall amend this discrepancy soon.

First of, I want to let everyone know that I stuck this in here so people can see BOTH sides of the story! Now time for my arguements! xp
Well.... You are pretty much saying that all the things Viz has done is bad? What about Inuyasha? If you ask me, that's done pretty good and has an AMAZING fan base following since the anime came out... Also, is the anime really worse than the manga version of something? I can name a few that are better in the anime form then they would ever be in the manga.
Also, I am NOT in control of whether it will be good or bad! I am only asking people to sign so we can see it! I'm sorry, but I cannot predict the future to see what it will be like!
NO! Do you realize that it is licenced by VIZ!!! VIZ already screwed up some of the manga. Can you imagine what they would do to the anime?? I love the manga and the anime is always worse than the manga. So I ask people NOT TO SIGN!!

1. Not only will I be requesting it will be put into an anime, but be put out in DVD as well!
2. I will be sending this to the author, the publisher, and as many major anime creating comapnies I can find (even shonen ones if I have to!)

I'm fine if you do respond and say, "I'll sign! I like Hana-Kimi!"...
7. I have not yet figured out where the company will be getting it's finances from, however I am attempting to come up with something, if you have any ideas, please PM me, or comment here, it will be greatly appreciated!
8. This is NOT the only Hana-Kimi petition out there! I am working on others, but this is currently my main one. The others don't just include usernames, most are actual signatures! Also they are not just all in English! I'm even going to attempt to translate one into Afrikaans and Latin, because I know those languages... However my automatic translater may be incorrect with other languages so if you are willing to turn this petition into another language so I can put them on other sites, I am willing to shorten this for you and send it too you! I am even willing to pay gold (Gaia gold not real, by the way!)
