Dear Gaians and peeps of Area 51,

I, Demented Kid, will be leaving Gaia. Or at the very least, the breedables forum.

I am terribly unreliable most of the time and despite I know this, I have attempted to do things that my life just doesn't want me to do. I have started things, they died, and when I try and restart it all again or get back into the swing of things, more things seem to happen. This is not Gaia's fault. It is my own and of course Real life.

So yes, I will be leaving to your relief so I dont disappoint anymore people. I do not look for a sympathy, just merely an understanding of why I have to do this. If I ever do come back on my account, it will be to talk to people since I have made great friends here. Also, if I ever do return to gaia, it wont be to the breedables forum. Sure, I may come to see my pets and such, and pick the odd RP but that will be it. I wont be doing anymore shops there.

To those who have had custom appointments. Since A51 never got off the ground quite the way I hoped, I will be offering them a fullworks comission and/or a picture of thier children grown up.

To the FS winners, I shall offer a 15k refund.

It was my first idea that I give Area 51 one away, but I am too much attached to my character Cray Zee.

I will be leaving as soon as I have completed all the Chipmunks, so do not worry, I shall be around for a little longer.

Again, I am sorry that I am so unreliable, I thank all of you who have stuck by me in my dark times and to those who have been so patient with me.

11.11.2006 - Sad to say, Area 51 has gone into Hiatus. Not just Dk but also Selona due to stress and other personal problems. If you read the first post, you'll know why Dk is taking Hiatus, but no fear! Things shall be worked on.

While on this Hiatus, I, Dk, will be working on many things for you guys to look forward to. Alot of it is going a head right now with new banners, mainly because I suck at banners, so I'm redoing them AGAIN!

Other things that shall be happening will be changes in the post, such as the Story, the Forms, and Availability.

If any actual art is going to be done, it will only be pencil/ink drawings and there won't be that many. Not until I get a new drawing tablet anyway.

There will also be stuff to look forward to! These things include: Better Pictures, Alien Profile Update/s, Possible Pet Trades, a NEW Sector and the start of the Comics/Manga!

And hopefully more!

Just please give us time! In this Hiatus I'm also catching up on Graphics and Art college work which is alot for me. But Hopefully my life and money is going to get better!

2.24.2006 - Since it's Cray's birthday, a suprise Flatsale is being held. It will start today and end on the 1st of March.
The Flatsale can be found in events.
Though things are still being worked on (mainly pictures and such), I feel that there is actually enough information for you. Information that may not be available is not really needed till things get going when a plot begins.
I will be working on it however, the sooner the better as they say.
Pictures will arrive slowly.

Sector F has never been used before. It never really got any funding except to make it acceptable living conditions for a certain man.

Then one day, the Government suddenly decided to get Sector F of Area 51 running to what it was originally meant for.

The reasons why are currently unknown.

All they did was send in one Psychiatrist along with the required funding to get things going. They were also given a pass to get into Sector D, Species Storage, where they could have their pick of DNA.

They were also given the key to a particulary special Elevator that takes them to the nearest town/village or where ever they wish, in which they will place "false" Maternity Clinics.

(( Just a rough outline story, will be worked on and made better and more enjoyable to read o-o ))

General Rules

1. Do not steal the art! - DK will hunt you down, and viciously attack you XP
2. Do Not Harrass the Staff: This includes harrassing about flatsales, auctions or raffles. Grow ups. Can I get a pet questions. This will get you a minor infraction and be put on the Grey List. If actions continue you will be moved to Black List.
3. Do not beg the staff for a child: This is looked down upon, first time it happens, Greylist. If it continues after that warning, you will be blacklisted from the shop.
4. 3 Quote max: Do not quote more than three blocks. It's annoying, and clutters the page.
5. Do not post in someone else's journal without permission: Minor infraction involving Greylisting. If it continues, blacklisting may be made possible.
6. Treat everyone with respect / NO FIGHTING: This is a place of business and RP. It doesn't matter how much you dislike someone else on the thread, keep it to yourself while here. Rudeness and ignorance will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone, please take it to the staff (via pm), or PM the other person to work out your differences.
7. Lets keep this place PG13: While the urge to RP out certain acts may/may not be there, please keep in mind Gaia's ToS. This is not allowed, and will be dealt with as the situation sites. Also, language falls under this section as well.
8. Rp is required: These are RP intensive children, and require a good deal of attention to grow and maintain. If you are incapable of this, perhaps another shop would be good for you.
9. Do not bother Demented Kid over Growths: There are growth forms and requirments for a reason! Please keep this in mind. Also, you must lend time to allow for the artist to actually draw the art.
10. PM's are to be sent to Professor Cray Zee or Dr Julia Cray Demented Kid does not want his inbox flooded!
11. Ditch the Drama: Much like the 'No Fighting' rule; We don't want your drama here. Everyone has problems, everyone deals. You are not special in that aspect. Now, we're not heartless here. Everyone can have a bad day, and sometimes it's good to talk about it. But if it seems you're continually coming in, and the world is weary for you... we may ask you to weary your way out the door.

For an Example, we are going to use Cray. He decided he wanted to have Chipmunk DNA to meddle with his pregancy.

Pregnant - You either come in Pregnant hoping for a definate confirmation and get meddled with or you come in seeking children and still get meddled with! 8D

However, you'll be marked by the Area 51 sign while you are there, and it will remain there till you have given birth.

Baby - Congratulations! It's a BABEH! You now get to see the results of Professor Cray's DNA meddling! This time they have the Area 51 sign somewhere on their body.

Though, there be a warning! Your child may become more mutated/change as they continue to grow. oO

Toddler - After a period of time your Baby no longer needs it's bottle. It's time for it to move on to Solid foods and drinking from a cup! Now it can demand things now they are starting to talk, some perhaps start talking in a language you dont understand. Changes may also occur aswell that aren't normal.

Remember to keep a keeeeeeen eye on them though. How you act now determines their behaviour as they grow from here on out.

Child - It talks full english, walks just fine, and most other things too. It's just a mini immature you! 8D

Now, you have to ship your little darlings off to school! But there are so many how can you choose? Well... May I interest you in our Schooling program? mrgreen

Teenager - Time to give your child THE talk. Yes puberty is now kicking in and those childish crushes are turning into desires of burning passion. They have way too much independence and the mood swings are enough to drive anyone up the wall!

Try to give them space as well as a firm disipline actions to keep them in line. If all else fails. Read through their Diary and black mail them. 8D

Young Adult - Get a job! D<

Adult - They grow up so fast don't they? ;.; NOW GET OUT MEH HOUSE D< I WANT GRANDCHILDREN!

I bets you is all a wondering how I do what I do. Well first of the basics for everything is that I strip DNA into two strands. This just makes it easier to connect with the DNA in you xd Here's the rest of the Info:

Males & Females:

Weither you come in Pregnant or not, it is the same Principle.

When you come in for a comfirmation check, I do an... Internal check.

During this time, DNA is added to the fertilised egg, along with special chemical created by Cray himself to ensure that the extra DNA is accepted.

I prefer the Mother to be... Asleep so she doesn't feel so stressed about a male is doing said job. ^^

For those who are not already Pregnant, it is merely a matter of taking what is required from both sides and sneaking in the DNA then. The mixture is then emplanted in the mother's womb carefully were the child from there on will grow.

Females & Females:

Depending on whose gonna be the Pregnant Mommy, I take what's need from the other to fertilise the egg. While doing this job, I, so conviiiiently, have a chance to add in the extra DNA.

When that is completed, it is added to the Mommy's egg to let the magic of pregnancy begin.

Males & Males:

It's a good thing I have artificial eggs all ready for you! These Eggs already have the extra DNA in them. (So convient that I knew you were coming, yes? >3)

DNA and such are then taken from both parents and added to the egg to fertilise it.

Males have two choices to how their child can develop through pregnancy.

They can either have their child through test tube... or they can deliver it themselves via a new technology with C-sectioning. ( Or Natural if you prefer, whatever floats your boat oO )

Singles - Females:

Well, this makes life a whole lot easier, I can take the other half actually from the creature the DNA would be taken from. But in this case I would have to find a male.. Whatever it is I'm going to use. Of course it would be changed slightly so when your child is born, he/she won't be infertile.

So much fun, yis?

Singles - Males:

For the males, it's alot more different then the options. You get two. One would be test tube babies. Where it's like a liiiiiittle concoction of DNA, which will eventually grow into a bouncing baby!

The other is Eggs! Via my wonderful new machine. In goes yours and your partner's DNA and out the other end comes an egg, which will grow insize.

Be sure to keep it warm though or you'll kill it. confused

Flatsales

Flatsales will happen everynow and again and will be Prompt based as well as you handing in a filled in application form. This is to see what your RP skills are like, as well as checking your character/s background.

Prompts MUST keep within 1000 words.

Also, you are actually limited to the current available species Cray will take DNA from. This information will be given out one week before the actual flatsale so you can make up your mind as to which species you want to try for.

You can only try for ONE and ONE only.

Twins are NOT Available through Flatsales.

Flatsales cost 15k.

20k if you want both parents in the pregnancy picture.

Auctions

Auctions are for selling off RARE DNA samples (Angelic, Cosplay, etc), Custom DNA or Guest Artists.

These will be annouced around 1 week before they start. Or Perhaps as a sudden suprise on occasion. Ending dates and other details about the Auction will be given at that time.

Starting prices for Auctions will be 15k.

Twins can only be obtained at double Auction price.

All auction items will be accepted at Mid-ZERG

Contests

Perhaps if I am feeling generous or it's a special occasion, a contest will be held. At these times you will have the chance to get an appointment.

Details will depend on the event.

Customs

Customs will not encompass twins/triplets/whatever will not be available through this route, unless Demented Kid decides the payment is worth the extra work. 3nodding

e_e Well, due to the fact we weren't really expecting anyone to pay an '03 letter; sadly, the prices have had to be put up to save DK's wrist. The current Customs that have been received, will not change. However anything from this point on it's changed.
