The Sleeping Sun Tavern/Inn

Let the night embrace you

User Image

Amongst the forested hills, meadows, and distant moutains smack dab in the middle is an old castle that stands almost like a monument of time. There are no other establishments near it for it is a castle from days long since past when war was often made. It has now been converted to a tavern/bar/inn. It looks beautifully refinished and repaired as a large sign over the double oak doors reads, "The Sleeping Sun". A large glassy lake, untouched by pollutants sits behind the castle at some distance. The right dirt road which leads off toward the mountains seems to go deep into the forest, to the hot springs if anyone is so bold to venture alone. The dirt path to the left leads around the lake, follows the river that streams from it most likely all the way back to civilization, or to a fellow travelers true destination.

No one ever is quite sure how they find this place due to its remote location, but sometimes for others it happens to be on the way to another destination and is typically seen as a good stop over for rest, relaxation, food, and other activities.

As occupants enter they will either find themselves greeted by the local barmaid Minu or Jesse Candycat our other lovely bartendress or by the Lady of the house herself, Lady Guinevere Nyghtshade-Delicourix. Out of all here they shall most likely meet the alluring and curious 'Fall From Grace' whom few at the tavern know much about. In any case the greeting will be a warm, friendly, and inviting one from the occupants that reside within.

Welcome to The Sleeping Sun!

OOC Note: The Tavern does have a very strict and set storyline, it's roughly fantasy but more importantly...it's "Life". Yes; it is "Life". The occurances and individuals who step into the tavern are free to come in at any given point in time to try and chat it up with the locals who work within its walls. Sometimes people are stuck and don't know how to develope a character of theirs, but with an envrionment like ours it has long since withstood the test of time thus far and allows one to do just that, develope their characters, their characters history, powers, abilities, etc and former visitors are always welcome back. So even if you've been gone a while things are always changing here at "The Sleeping Sun". We hope you enjoy our RP environment and the RP enthusiasts within.

This tavern is a Role Playing Tavern. If you need to speak to someone out of character please use these ( ) or [ ] or { } or Private Message, whatever is comfortable. Just try and make it as obvious as possibly when you are speaking in character and out or if you are speaking to certain people OOC wise.

Plotline development (Update 14 as of Sept 13, 2009): (This is OOC)

Current plotline thus far IC wise. Current storyline has been wiped clean and we are starting fresh. I will post developments as they well - develope.

Current Newsupdate thus far IRL wise:
Right now I (Guinevere N Delicrouix) am having to share a computer with two other computer game geeks (both of which are guys) so for now start and stop/pause RPs are the best I can get for now, though I would so greatly love to get things on a more active basis. I've also been trying to figure out how to revive my RP guild considering people tend to forget guilds too easily and I'm wondering what it will take to get things running again (while thinking of starting another Guild that I would rather have a co-founder by my side for). I would like to reiterate that I very much appreciate any of my regulars and/or waiters/waitresses/etc to try and keep things going as best as possible.

I have decided as of today, September 13th of 2009 that a slate wipe/history wipe for The Sleeping Sun shall be initiated today. I will note who will go unaffected by this major change to our Tavern's storyline history. I will also do so here:

Orcary
Sylvana Inkheart (Jessie, Minu, etc)
Skieth_Exion
Skorin
New comers (the people who are new to our RP environment will go unaffected by this change and accept everything that has recently taken into affect as, this is how its always been)

There may be a few others but I am uncertain who those other individuals are. For questions, concerns, etc if you have gone mentioned or not please contact me via PM. If you'd like to update your character profiles at this time you may do so. I will type up a Skeleton for you all and you can use it or make your own (ye-ah someone brought it to my attention actually).

OmegaJoe (Serge) - Please speak with me when you have free time so we can discuss how storyline has progressed possibly up to this point. Thank you! *hugs*

I will try and keep everyone posted as often as I can.

For my Roleplaying guild here is where you need to look, Friends who love Roleplay. We are looking for more members to join so be sure to sign up if you're interested in a fairly friendly and laid back RP environment (like the one we've established here).

Merry meet, merry part, merry meet again,

~Gwen

The Rules

1) Absolutely no God-modding, God-Mode, Auto-hitting etc! Post 8 has information on how to become a better RPer as well as examples of the different types of God-Mods out there.

2) The tavern is not to be destroyed. I rather like my place. If you want to threaten someone, threaten me or someone your looking for within my tavern. Not the whole dang place! scream

3) When RPing you can only have three RP characters in the tavern at a time. It isn't fair to everyone else if you're pretty much upstaging them and being an attention...you know what. Also please keep posts at a minimum of 3 lines or more (if possible).

4) You cannot kill anyone's character within the tavern unless you have already planned it with them or asked their permission to do so.

5) Please try and be semi-literate. We won't kill you or hate you if you are only able to really come up with 1 or 2 liners, but at least try. That's what it's all about is trying.

6) Try and keep things fairly PG-13. This means no cybering or anything of the sort! This includes following Gaia TOS so please be smart! Romance is fine!

7) No advertising unless it is in your sig. This also includes spam, begging for gold, and excessive bumping!

8.) Please respect the staff. If you have a problem with the staff see me about it first! Also if the staff (such as me or the bouncers) ask you to refrain from doing something, please do so otherwise you shall receive a warning or we can go straight to banning, your choice.

9) No Towers. Please trim your posts and keep them fairly concise. Fail to do this and you shall receive a warning for this as well.

My Bouncers and I are the only ones with true power here. Don't break the rules and we won't have a problem. If you have sense enough to know what to do and know what -NOT- to do, then we will not have to discuss any of these.

Please note that if you break 3 of our rules the bouncers or myself will take action in getting your presence removed from the topic.

Castle Description

Exterior:
The tavern is a castle that has obviously been cleaned up a bit. Not many new decorations hang on the outside, aside from the magical lanterns that never burn out and the sign high above the door that reads, "Welcome to the Sleeping Sun" with the next line reading, "All are welcome here". The stone walls are old and weather worn. Ivy slowly crawls around the corners and up toward the towers. The castle looks fairly small from the outside at first glance. There is a large extensive lake that the castle overlooks as well as a dense forest that surrounds the area, aside from the small pathways that have been worn into the ground by travelers passing through them.

The Hot Springs:
As travelers come to stand in front of the doors of the establishment they will notice it runs in a tee fashion. There is the path behind and then the path to the left and the right. The left path shall just take a traveler around the lake as they wish, however the path to the right leads to the several hot springs waiting to be enjoyed by guests of "The Sleeping Sun". The hot springs themselves have a ward and several magical barriers to protect and detour any intruders. The path up until the springs has the same magical wards and barriers so that guests may enjoy the night time scenery and the sounds of the forest with ease and a sense of security.

Interior - The Great Hall:
As one enters through the large oak double doors they will enter a well lit room that harkens back to the times of medieval kings. There is a red rug that leads up to the bar. Beneath the rug is a beautifully finished cherry wood floor. On both sides of the great hall are fireplaces both of which have yew wood stained coffee tables facing length-wise away from the fireplace a good 10ft away. On both sides of the coffee tables, mirroring exact placement, are finely finished stained cherry wood, rich plum-purple back and seat cushioned, eighteenth century, wooden chairs to the right side of the room. The far back wall has a bar with burgundy cushion steel stools placed in front of the counter. There is a door on the western part of the bar that leads to the back room where the kitchen, sinks, dishwasher, supply room, and wine cellar are. The bar sits under the stairwell that curves down at an angle to come down and rest on the right side of the room with its rails curving around into a spiral-like shape.

The Courtyard
:
There is a hall to the far upper left corner of the room that leads guests down a corridor of old oil paintings and magical fire lit lanterns. At the end of the hall is a tee crossing. If one were to travel to the right they would travel down a corridor of stain glass windows and magical fire lit lanterns. They would soon find themselves before the great oak doors that lead out to the courtyard. There are four stone pathways intersecting one another within the courtyard. A small white Gazebo sits in the center of these pathways. In between the pathways are sectioned off small gardens. Flowers of many different varieties, colors, and species reside in these as well as small standing stone artistic fountains. There is no ceiling to this place so the stars at night are quite visible if one were to simply look up.

The Roman Public Bath - Between the Great Forge and coliseum:
Along the corridor that is between the 'Coliseum' and 'The Great Forge'. It is in the very heart of this corridor that you will find a set of double doors facing to the south toward the entrance of the building. The door is made of finely carved oak and carved upon it are two dragons, one black and one white laying upon an orb that is between them that looks as though it were a planet. Each looks to be of European design and Babylonian in nature. Once guests press through the doors it opens up into a reception room where it is seperated into two sections, men and woman sides. These are the restrooms where guests can change, lockers to place their belongings, along with fresh towels, and showers. Guests will then notice an open doorway, only covered by a tapestry that when pushed aside leads into a very large rectangular room which is where the roman baths are kept. It is one large rectangular pool, essentially, and it is in no way divided. The only thing that divides the two even remotely is a bridge going over the top to the opposite side of the room. There are chairs and plants that line the edges of the baths. In this particular bath men and woman bath together as it would have been in days of old. So guests bathe at their own risk, essentially.

Corridor to the left of the Courtyard - The Great Forge:
Taking the eastern corridor out of the Great Hall, past the courtyard, down a long hallway full of beautiful stained glass windows and magic lanterns, the path would eventually come up to two large iron-rot doors. As they would push the doors open a loud groan would sound and echo into the large open room known as the Great forge. Here those of the Blacksmith trade may use its facilities as often and whenever they like to create anything they set their mind to.

The Arena:
If one were to travel to the left of the tee they would find themselves traveling down a similar stained glass corridor of magical fire lit lamps to the great oak doors of the battle arena. It might as well be a coliseum for that is what it resembles. There is seating for any large crowd and room enough for any two or four warriors to have a decent battle. There is a protective barrier that easily protects any spectators in the stands from the danger of any of the fighter's attacks, as well as a protective sound guard in case any of the attacks become so loud that they could potentially damage the spectators' ears.

Guest Rooms - The Great Stair well to the second floor:
If one were to travel to the second floor up the great stairwell they'd find themselves on the floor of the guest rooms. There are many rooms upon this floor, so many that it is hard to keep up with them all so they magically clean and manage themselves. Also each door and room customizes itself to the guest that stays within and/or enters it. There is another set of small polished wooden stairs covered by a lavish dark rich plum-purple rug that leads up to the second floor.

The Third floor - The Open Air Garden
:
Traveling up the new set of stairs one finds themselves in the midst of a room that should be on the ground floor. There are beautiful artistic stone fountains dotted about within the large round room. The pathways are made of carved white marble. There are large trimmed bushes, some that are slightly unruly, as well as Rose bushes, Gardenias, and other sorts of flowers that inhabit some of the solitary spots. Smaller plants such as wild strawberries inhabit the spaces below the water fountains. There is a small pond near the open balcony where the only means of getting to the balcony are a small bridge over the pond. The pond has white and catfish looking carp. Out on the balcony a great view of the sky can be seen. If it is a clear night out on the carved white stone balcony, one can see the stars for miles as well as have a good view of the different phases of the moon no matter where it starts its new phase.

Fourth Floor - The Crimson Bedchamber
:
Approximately, five feet away from the third floor stairs is the fourth floor stairs. They are tinged black and creeping up them is a dark forest green, golden trim, gorgeous rug. This floor is allowed to be used by any but more specifically vampires. The room is circular and the walls are covered with red and burgundy tapestries as well as pillows, small tables to kneel at for chatting, and each space has its own curtain to close around the party so that whatever seductive secrets they wish to keep are certainly kept. One may wish to plug their ears as they travel through this room if they are not fond of such things.

Fifth floor, Right corridor - The Great Library:
If a guest were to take two steps into the room and to their left they would notice the set of stairs to the fourth floor six feet away from their current position out of the corner of their eye. The finely polished wooden stairs lead up to a hallway that looks nothing like the Crimson Bedchamber with the exception of the red tapestries that guide the guest down its magically lit lanterns and clear window corridor. If one were to take the right path they would come across another set of great oak doors that lead into the Great Library. The Library is quite extensive with bookcases that stretch quite high filled from shelf to shelf of books. There is a fire place on the far wall that looks as though there should be a painting above it. What has replaced the painting is a coat of arms with two swords crossing behind it. There are nineteenth century looking chairs that feel quite comfortable, for those who enjoy literature to sit back in and enjoy a good book.

Fifth floor, Left corridor - Open Air Meditation Room
:
If a guest were to take two steps into the room and to their left they would notice the set of stairs to the fourth floor six feet away from their current position out of the corner of their eye. The finely polished wooden stairs lead up to a two way corridor that looks nothing like the Crimson Bedchamber with the exception of the red tapestries that guide the guest down its magically lit lanterns and clear window corridor. If they took the left path they would soon stop at another set of great wooden doors which would open up into the Open Air Meditation Room. As described the Open Air Meditation room is usually a quiet place for people to relax. It is dimly lit so that guests can light their candles and meditate without the distraction of modern lighting. Its floors are white marble where as the tapestries are of finely made sky-blue silk. Darker shades of blues and other colors are used, this helps promote positive energy flow within the room. Soft plush pillows clutter the top and bottom corners of the circular room. Candles of many different colors litter the small bamboo stands and tables. There are no windows aside from the two open air balconies on the left and bottom right, much like the one on the second floor.

On the inside the place feels slightly smaller then it originally was, even though it does seem larger then it originally did from outside. But if it was indeed bigger, there are no other doors in any of the other chambers that would lead a guest to believe so.

Welcome to my Tavern...Enjoy your stay with us.

She seems rather moody at times however she is relatively calm generally when not on a mission/job. Her manners in general are decent at least she can be respectful of fellow hunters, etc. Her ways are that of a 'Justicard'. Essentially she follows her own "code of honor" and laws. She is typically a wanderer. Nehvan isn't typically one for romance, in fact she would rather keep her distance from any and all individuals only making allies/friends that could prove useful/reliable later on for missions. If any man were to attempt to swoon her, he would be met with a very cold reception and most likely his forehead would be staring at the end of a cold barrel which would be itching for some serious action.

Blacklisted

The blacklist is where those who are now banned from the tavern are listed due to their inability to heed the rules that I have set for the establishment. If they return I ask that you do not speak to them and just simply ignore them. I will most likely delete their posts later if they return again after their banning. The culprits are listed below:

stressed Manga_dudeman - For soliciting the tavern's patrons for gold and disturbing the Role-Player's peace within the tavern.
stressed The_Nitemare_Kings (Death Unknown, etc) - For trying to stir up trouble with a close personal real life friend of mine and his girlfriend along with trying to drag my dignity, trustworthiness, and intregrity through the mud.

Guidelines to Good RPing

Please note that I did not come up with these. A group of other people did and I feel this is information that should be shared with as many as possible. I'd like to give a special thanks to the people responsible for coming up with these lists.

Good RP Form:
Good RP form is all in how you write about your character and their actions in RP. Usually good practiced RPers speak in 3rd person when refering to their characters. This helps lessen confusion in RP and helps RPers stay detached from their characters among other things. Plus it usually looks very good. It is also the common form of English used by Elite RPers. (Contributed by Guinevere Nyghtshayde)

Good RP Imagery
:
Always keep in mind that when in combat that your opponent cannot see things from your characters perspective. If you make icicles appear out of no where then don't be shy to elaborate on how many there are, the thickness, and at what speed and force they are moving. These sorts of gestures allow others to better prepare for what is to come, but also understand how many of what is hitting them, from where, etc. (Contributed by Guinevere Nyghtshayde)

Common Courtesy:
It is common courtesy to let others who enter an establishment know where you are RP wise. No one should ever feel ignored especially when they are considered excellent RPers. You should respect your fellow RPers and at least give them this much because they deserve to know what is going.
(contributed by Guinevere Nyghtshayde)

Taking a Sudden Leave of Absence:

It's understandable everyone has a life outside of Gaia. And there are certain instances in which we must leave suddenly. Out of courtesy it is best to at least leave an OOC (Out of Character) message so if you were role-playing with anyone they know what's going on at least and can proceed accordingly. In the instances that a message is not left most people just play up the situation as best as they can.
(Contributed by Guinevere Nyghtshayde)

Time out:
We all have real lives and every role-player should know this and understand its meaning. Role-playing until you fall asleep at your keyboard to me isn't especially good. If you're tired just make an OOC message saying, "Hey guys, I'm falling asleep at my keyboard. I need to go to bed". People will understand, we might get disappointed, but we will get over it. We are all human and our bodies have their needs so take care of your body otherwise you won't be able to role-play so well when you have a high fever and pounding headache.

(Contributed by Guinevere Nyghtshayde)

Please, try to be Semi-literate or literate here. I certainly will not treat you any different really if you can't be all that great at it, but please at least try. We are an establishment who accepts all, because we feel that if those wish to learn to become better RPers the only way that is going to happen is if there is a place willing to tolerate these Newbies so they can hone their skills. This section gives some general terms with definitions to help beginners and such understand some of the very common terms we use in RP.

Newb: Beginner. These are the people that will most likely post one-liners or two, possibly even three. But they show they are trying to make an effort to learn.

Ex: Walks into the establishment via the large oak doors. "Hello? Anyone here"? They walk over to the bar and take a seat.

n00b: An 'Idiot' at best indeed. These are the individuals who make no effort to roleplay, merely step in and say or ask stupid things that no one wants to listen to or deal with. They may also use what we call "text talk" (l8tr, idk, etc) or Leet (l337).

Ex: "H3y guys, what 15 up"?

Illiterate: A person who gives everyone the impression they can't really read or write well no matter what age they be. Another form of what is considered to be a n00b. These ones are typically obvious.

Moderate: Your typical one liners; low-key RPer. They definitely may believe for the time being of keeping things relatively simple as they still may be very timid to the RP world.

Semi-Literate: Show great potential and promise/improvement then most; good RPer.

Literate: Literate means one who can read and write. It is a term that is used by RPers meaning 'Great or Excellent at RP'ing'. Though I've rarely heard anyone use it in complimentary fashion.

Elite: A higher level of being a literate roleplayer. They can be close to being a Novelist in their own right. They are highly advanced and excell far at RP'ing. They typically can post a paragraph up to two or possibly three.

Novelist: These people write a novel with most of their posts; beautiful literature, too. Damn Proficient however not always convenient for all. Typically on average most would rather see an Elite or Literate then a Novelist, but in their own right Novelists are great if you love very detailed and long pieces to read.

IC: Means 'In Character'.

OOC: Means 'Out of Character'.

RP/RPC: RP - Roleplay. RPC - Roleplay Character.

NPC(s): Non-Playable Character(s).

This last section was contributed from 'Black Halo' Lord Arrion's RP establishment.
~Lady Nyghtshayde

Please note that The Sleeping Sun is not AMP, but we feel the AMP rules are a fairly good guideline to RP etiquette. We at The Sleeping Sun however are far more laid back toward some of these rules. However if you do step out of line in the form of God-modding/etc be assured you will be made aware of it. The important thing is we just want you all to have fun.

Amp Rules

Types of Role Players

Oldbies: Are veterans of role-playing. They generally know best after years of experience.
Elites: Elites are on their way to becoming Oldbies, but are still changed Literates. Elites can be recognised by their "Elites only" policy, with no leeway whatsoever. They are generally quite cocky, think they are better, and insist on using reams and reams of detail. This can be particularly true for magic users, who are convinced that their descriptions of the traits and limits of magic are unquestionable. (Not all Literates become Elites before they move on to Oldbies. Don't worry.)
Literates: A growing minority, literate role-players are just that. They use correct punctuation and grammar, and role-play fairly. Literates often refer to, and follow, the AMP (Anti-Munch Project).
ne0 n00b: ne0s (never use a capital 'n' for them!) at first appear to be Literates. This falsehood becomes apparent after a few posts however, as they tend to break the AMP a lot, and are actually just n00bs who can spell.
n00b: (Don't use a capital 'n' for these either!) n00bs are the worst role-player available. A sad and terribly derogatory approach to take, but the simple fact of the matter is that they just cannot and will not role-play fairly, even when outnumbered, outgunned, and obviously dead in character. They will often resort to flaming, leading to eventual bans, new accounts, and new bans.
Newbie: A Newbie can at first seem to be an n00b, they can though, learn to correctly role-play fairly and adequately. Newbies are to be encouraged and treated well, and will often grow into skilled Literates.

User ImageAimbotters User Image

An aimbotter is a role player who has ridiculously unrealistic accuracy and unsurprisingly never misses (or almost never.) This is not only limited to firearms but also to any projectile such as mystically throwing a shard of metal into someones ear lobe from a few hundred metres off.

Billy: My two pet humming birds fly around me.

Ben: From a hundred metres away I shoot behind my back with a 9mm pistol and one of the hummingbirds heads fly off, I then spin around a peg my gun directly into the other bird.

User ImageGodmodersUser Image

The most annoying role playing crime, the player who thinks he is a God, he either never takes a hit, or when he does takes zero damage. They also tend to incoparate many other AMP violating things, which is just modey.

Billy: I slash at your neck with my battle axe.

Ben: The axe breaks in half on my seemingly normal neck. And I do not receive a scratch.

User ImageIDKFA-ers User Image

IDKFA- ers are basically spys, with totally unrealistic gadgets or items on their body or person, which are also unrelated to the character, such as a laser pen on Solid Snake. Or James Bond and a condom.

Billy: I raise a gun to your forehead.

Ben: I tap my watch and it turns into a magnet which pulls your gun right out of your hand before a laser cannon emerges from my sunglasses along with two tactical nukes.

User ImageTwinks User Image

Sometimes allowed in certain RPs. If the RP isn't specifically about invincible deities and such, a simple rule is that if the strengths aren't counterbalanced with relatively equivalent weaknesses (or if the reasoning behind the phenomenal cosmic powers isn't eloquently and appropriately explained), you're dealing with a Twink.

Billy: Having knocked you down, I give you my hand to help you to your feet.

Ben: My skin turns you to stone.

User ImageMin-Maxers User Image

Basically the same as a twink but tends to incoporate many more powers as opposed to the twinks token super unstoppable power, and also has usually one (sometimes more) token weakness.

Billy: After you beating me to a pulp with your super magic armour I ask you what weakness's it has.

Ben: Uhh, if you hit both armpits at the same time with a wet towel.

User ImageMiss Cleos User Image

Using out of character knowledge in a role play, sons of bitches. Theese are especially frowned upon.

Billy: (( My character is secretly a fire mage even though he shows no sign of it in his appearance. ))

Ben: Turns on a high pressured hose. "Die you fire b***h!"

User ImageMcFlys User Image

Mcfly as in the movie back to the future! That should explain itself XD

Billy: Now that your force field is down I can run inside your base!

Ben: Um.... um.... there is also a super secret second force field that is twice as strong as the last one! I didn't say anthing about it before or even mention anything like it because it was so secret, not because I just made it up!

User ImageHi-Jackers User Image

They interfere with things that only the creator of the thread should be capable of usually to do with the environment, for instance self destructing a base, only the leader should have such permission and codes. Tis a no no.

Billy: "My bar has been sieged by evil ninjas!"

Ben: Presses a self destruct button that I always knew was hidden under the painting of an orange.

Billy: ((There is no self destruct button!!))

User ImagePuppetmastersUser Image

Dictating what another persons character does or how they react, extremely irritating.

Billy: I walk into the room and sit down at the bar.

Ben: I smash you in the head with a bottle and you run screaming from the room before falling down the stairs and killing yourself.

User ImageDaydreamersUser Image

Billy: I sit down under a tree.

Ben: I sit next to Billy under a tree. My knee scuffed jeans gently padded down on the lofty grass at the bottom of the old oak tree, whose barks was a very light brown. My beige shirt which had a faint rip at the bottom left corner gently swayed in the breeze of a north easterly wind. This reminded me of how when I we were young boys we used to play together. Oh, those were the days, we never had a care in the world, except for when Bradley got the chicken pox and we thought we would turn into chickens! Oh how red my face was when I realised that we wouldn't after all.

Overly long posts about nothing. That have no reason to be that long.

User ImageProsecutors User Image

Basically the largest idiot in a place, who accuses others of breaking AMP rules when they are. Guilty.

Billy: I slash at you as hard as I can with my sword.

Ben: I catch your sword and snap it in half before punching you in the face causing your nose to bleed.

Billy: ((You can't just catch my sword and make me bleed like that!))

Ben: ((Yes I can! You can't swing a sword without moving foward and everbody knows that I'm uber strong and can snap swords, so you were always going to get punched, and if you think you could have moved that quickly you would be godmodding! n00b!! ))

User ImageShoe elves User Image

A form of puppet mastery that usually involves the lack of another characters role players presence, it is not a very common problem. And usually only a bit of a joke.

Billy: ((I have to go eat dinner. See you guys later!))

Ben: Notcing that Billy stopped moving I walk up to him and shave off both his eyebrows before taking off his clothes and taking numerous photos which I send to playgirl.

User ImageRevisionists User Image

Someone who's alters and RP to suit their needs, usually when they don't like the RP itself.

Billy: Considering this is a Medieval RP, I take my time as my illiterate and somewhat retarded peasant, wandering around te town boredly.

Ben: Not particuarly liking the looks of this RP, I decide to spice things up a bit by deploying my Iron Maiden robots, giant metal skull crushing machines of doom, which incinerate all in their path!

Billy: (( This is a MEDIEVAL RP! ))

Ben: (( Not any more b***h. ))

User ImageSpeedhackers User Image

Someone who does far to much in a single post, most in fight posts should only consist of a couple seconds. Otherwise its almost verging into puppet mastery with the lack of the other characters reaction.

Billy: I shoot at you twice with still six bullets remaining in my gun.

Ben: I jump behind a table to escape your shots, and then I get back up and calmly make a cup of tea before walking up to you and slapping you in the face.

User ImageOxymoron's User Image

A character that is basically the opposite of itself, and therefore extremely unlikely to exist. Such as a pacifist preist warlord. They just don't make sense.

Billy: In this roleplay based in 1840, Texas, I am a cowboy.

Ben: I am a young boy who was trained in Tibet in the ancient art of Kung Jujitsu and also how to shoot every kind of gun there is. And I ride up to you on a motorbike.

User ImageBaghdad Bobbits User Image

Puppet masters and aimbotters combine to form an instakill style of role play.

Billy: I look up at the stars.

Ben: I run up to you and grab your hand pulling you over before stabbing you several times in the spine with a large fork.

User ImageHives User Image

So named after such things as the xenomorphs from Aliens, the Klendathu bugs from Star ship Troopers, and the teeming hoards they generally are. These hoards are always fearless, will battle until dead, and quite often have some excessive weapons and/or armour. Basically, it's the guys who have too many NPCs.

Billy: I wait in the meadow for my opponent to arrive.

Ben: I see Billy and then whistle and seven thousand of my super ninja warriors appear from the shadows to kill you.

User ImageGaseous Snakes User Image

A character that apparently was everywhere in the past and did everything possible that could benefit themselves.

Billy: I run through the forest, weaving and cutting through trees.

Ben: You fall down a pit I dug earlier knowing exactly where you would run.

User ImageZoicite User Image

The people who alter their character as needed for the situation.

Billy: After revealing your true vampire form I stab at your heart with a wooden stake.

Ben: The stake hits a my chest and splinters because I am also a robot!

User ImageNIMBY User Image

The people who quite readily attack others' threads, but then stop all attacks on their own thread.

Billy: "You burnt down my bar now its time for you to pay!"

Ben: My hundred auto turrects activate, as well as a magical pulse that paralyses all living things. As you stand in the middle of a highly dangerous mine field.

or

Ben: -Deletes post-

User ImageTrinity User Image

The knowledge downloaders, the omniscience wizards. Those people who never learnt anything but know everything.

Billy: After a life being brought up hunting with my father I can use a knife and shoot quite well.

Ben: Growing up alone I became tough. Now I know twenty martial arts and how to fly a helicopter even though your the first person I've ever met.

User ImageQuakers User Image

Remember the gun room from the Matrix, its like that. But in someones pocket.

Billy: At the sight of the full moon I turn into a werewolf and charge at you howling for blood.

Ben: Even though I was swimming and in just a towel, I pull a gun loaded with a silver bullet out from undre my towel and shoot at your chest.

User ImageGhosts User Image

Those characters which mysteriously appear in different areas with no explanation due to poor writing.

Billy: Sitting on the roof as everyone else sits inside I sigh thinking about my dead father.

Ben: I hear Billy sigh and ask him if he is alright and pat him on the back.

Billy: ((Dude you were just inside. A whole storey was blocking us. ))

User ImageAuto-Hitters User Image

Aimbotter and puppet master mixed to make a person who tells you how he hit you and how his hit connected, it is sometimes allowed.

-Exceptions-
-When opponent misses second attack, does not include second attack, or completey ignores attack.
-When player chnages the nature of the attack, best exaple would be someone kicking somes forearm, if that person was varying between forearms and the attack chanegd kicks while person changed their forearm, his new attack would connect with forearm. If new attack is more powerful than last attack the person defending would lose that defense and get hit.

Billy: I take a swing at you with a bat.

Ben: I grab the bat from your hands, spin around and smash your knee caps backwards.

User ImageAutoDefenders. User Image

((added by SanzoMasamune ))

An autodefend is when you ignore logic and manage to dodge attacks which clearly should've hit you; this is not complex physics, rather simple laws of gravity. If you're moving in any direction, you need to take time to stop. Unless you can back up with logical inromation how you managed it, then it's an autodefend. N.B. this is often missunderstood, so please dont accuse someone when you aren't positive that it is an autodefend.

Example -

Billy: He speeds towards you, his blade drawn, flying at an amazing speed, and swings towards your gut.

Ben: Quickly, and having already been prepared for a long awaited attack, he lets out a burst of energy and flies behind you at lightning speed, gains control and slices towards your back.

Billy: He spins around and stops your blade.

*walks in, looking around at the mass of the newly built castle* well...someone has been busy......wonder where guin is at?

Gwen is behind the bar rummaging around in some boxes. Sounds of the boxes echo against the massive walls. The sounds of mens voices still at work echo down the great stairwell. Gwen looks up from behind the Bar and sees Jin standing behind the fire pit.

"I'm over here Jin."

She waved a hand.
*walks over sitting at the stool in front of you* how are things coming along *smiles and leans back*

She gets up with the box in her hands.

"Oh well enough."

She smiled though her face spoke of exhaustion.

"I just hope this place takes off well."

Her gaze wandered about the Great Hall and then back to Jin.
Walking thru the forest his eyes flash as he looks up seeing a full moon
His eyes pulse for a moment before he thinks and continues on his way
He takes a few steps before a thick mist gathers infront of him
A slight grin appears on his lips and he says deeply
What are you doing here Vnucd?
I have come here to Deliver a message.

Kires eyes flash a lustfull red as he looks at the Mist. He nods his head lightly and watches a built demon step out of It toward him.
Well then whats the message?
He has challenged you once again, He wishes to reclaim his throne
Once again he comes crawling? Tell him this I will fight him but he will not now, nor ever win hell from me.
We shall see, Now i must bid You adu.
oh you must return to Hell?
No im saying i must say goodbye to you

As the demon lord says these words it materializes black matter and pushes it toward kire digging it into his gut.
You betraying swine Kire says as he gets hit.
No i simply know where my allegience lies.
You are sadly confused
Kire rolls to the side His Cloak having confused the demon to his whereabouts. With one swift move kire forms a Hell ball one of his own creation. A mass of energy so great that if it doesnt hit its target,
it could destroy The five great Ions.
Wh..What are you doing!!!???!!!???
You must pay!!!!
Kire screams and Shoves the energy ball into the demons spine.

A large blinding light fills the area Over taken instantly with a cloud of Dust and floating matter. As the dust clears Kire Is seen standing above a crater.
Im lucky i didnt miss...

He turns returning on his path
the loss of his strongest minion Wieghing lightly on his shoulders.
He sees a Building thinking he should check it out he steps up to the door opening it. He steps in and looks around he walks quietly as though to make it past the distracted people without them knowing it he slides into a bar stool pivoting lightly in his place as he examines every face in the area closely. he leans back in his chair and sighs lightly.
