WELCOME TO HOGWARTS ACADEMY =)

PLOT & TIMELINE: This RP takes place roughly 10 years before the trio come to Hogwarts. [1981] Hence, teachers are pretty much the same [younger] but there are no cannon students. Harry Potter is a mere babe and Voldemort has not yet killed his parents. Though not directly related to this RP, that bit of history will occur at the end of October on Halloween night. [As written by JKRowling] As for now, Voldemort is feared by all of the wizarding world, and Death Eater raids are quite frequent. Hogwarts seems to be one of the few places that are safe. [Thanks to Dumbledore --- but is it really safe?]

In this RP the school year starts out innocently enough, however, when a dead Centaur is discovered outside the school gates, things take an ugly turn. It is assumed the work of Death Eater's, but due to the mysterious lack of blood in the body when it was found, rumors have sprouted otherwise. The teacher's fear that it was the work of a deranged Vampire, and heighten security at the school. Things seem to quiet down for a while, but restless students seem determined to figure everything out themselves. Mysterious and unexplainable things begin happening within the school, and Dumbledore decides to throw a Halloween Ball to add festivity to the dampened atmosphere. About this time Lord Voldemort kills Harry's Parents and attempts to kill Harry, in the process dying himself.
[Well known history trivia]

We find out [not sure how at this present moment] that the occurances have indeed been the work of a Vampire, however not the work of one, but rather, three Vampire's who happen to be Death Eater's. They had been sent by the Dark Lord to carry out some unknown task at Hogwarts. Little doesn anyone know that one of their teachers is currently being impersonated by a vampire. When Voldemort tries to kill Harry Potter and dies, the Vampires will probably fade from Hogwarts.....or they might start a killing spree....guess we'll just have to find out. ninja

Students start at the feast rather then at the station. [That part just bores me, and after once seeing it take 32pgs. to get from station to feast I decided heck with it, its out!]

arrow 1- Please have read [or watched] at least two of the books/movies.

arrow 2 - YOU MUST BE LITERATE. Meaning that you have to know how to spell and put words into sentences. Typos are ok. Blatant disregard for the english language is not. No one liners or ** for actions.[Note: I will not kick anyone out without fair warning]

arrow 3 - No cybering:: I think that this is self explanitory.

arrow 4 - Keep to Gaia's PG-13 rule

arrow 5 - No killing for completely pointless reasons or without permission from the character's player.

arrow 6 - No godmoding:: Means that you can't make a character and think that it will be all powerful. If you do decide to godmode..... You're character WILL be taken care of....

arrow 7 - You must stay in your characters personality. This really is self explainatory as well. I mean there will be some times where the personality of a particular character will change, but if you decide a personality for someone then please try to stick to it.

arrow 8 - If you're going to flame someone, try to keep it to PMs.

arrow 9 - OOC's should be clearly marked as such, and though some OOC is perfectly fine, do not fill pages up with it!

arrow 10 - Pm your character's profile and a sample of your rping skills to Jaydine. For cannon characters Pm the name of the character requesting and the rp sample. Just to be sure that you've read the rules, put "Draught of living death" as the subject to your pm. Before you pm me please be sure your pm's are enabled. It is extremely annoying when I can't pm you back.

arrow 11 - You must be active. If you don't post for over 5 days, and haven't given me a reason in advance, your character will be deleted or given to someone else! [it's nice when you can post at least once a day]

arrow 12 - No more then one quote per post. That means no quoting something that already has a quote in it.

arrow 13 - Only two animagi in the entire school, and one metamorphagi. Only one invisibility cloak as well. There is no Marauder map available for use.

arrow 14 - No skipping class or randomly visiting the forbidden forest. That and disrespect for teachers will result in punishment.

arrow 15 - Only teacher's can give/take away house points as well as create/make up spells/potions.

arrow 16 - No American students OR death eater students. [ok I changed my mind, if your student is 16 or older they may be a deatheater, the only requirement being it's a secret and they must be in Slytherin or Ravenclaw. I will also only allow a limited number to be DE.]

arrow 17 - Stick to JK Rowling's books and work. If she wouldn't have it happen or allow it then don't expect me to. [Certain exceptions]

arrow 18 - If you join, plan for long term. Don't just up and quit in a few days. I understand if things come up. Just let me know,

- 2/9/06 arrow PLOT UPDATE: CLASSES DO NOT START UNTIL THIS MONDAY. [REAL TIME]- Jace and his friends will be getting into mischief after the banquet & discover the dead centaur outside on the school grounds. Filch will appear and notify Dumbledore. [Drama ect will happen] and word will spread like wildfire until everyone is there staring at the dead creature. Everyone will then be told to leave and Dumbledore will announce at breakfast the next morning that due to the events that transpired, the first day of classes will be canceled.

- Appearance: (See Picture) She has bright auburn red hair, that falls to the small of her back. It is naturally wavy, but she uses Sleekeazy's Hair Potion to calm the waves of her hair when she wants it to be straight. Saraia has emerald green eyes, and usually wears green robes to match. Occasionally, she wears black ones, but this is infrequent and depends on the cleanliness of her green robes and her mood. Most of the robes follow a similar style. Pants that are tight on her hips, but are loose around her slender legs. She wears shirt with frills around her wrists, and a vest and jacket that button in the front overtop. Overtop that, she wears a cloak that drapes over her right shoulder and exposes her left arm. She is very slender and curvy, model like. In addition, she adorns herself in ancient looking silver jewelery, all with red stones embedded in them. Heirlooms from her father's family.

Her mother was a 2nd Gen. Muggle-born witch, her father was a Pureblood (Arabella and Donovan). Her father's parents were dissatisfied with Donovan's choice of a wife and ignored the small family until Saraia was born.
- Pet:
Kneazle. (They look like domesticated housecats, but are more intelligent and have a few knacks.) Arabella is a female Kneazle, has a lionlike tail, large ears, and spotted fur. Her fur is black, with amber markings (spots).
- Wand:
Eleven Inches, Cherry Wood, Phoenix Feather. The wand has a reddish finish to it, that is peculiar for even Cherry.
- Patronus: Nundu. (Giant Leopard)
- Boggart: Lethifold (cloak like creature that suffocates its victims). She heard a story about one once, and is terrified of being suffocated. (Hence, claustrophobia.)
- Likes: To sing and play the violin when she can.
- Dislikes: Losing something. She is only mildly obsessive, but insists in keeping everything in its precise place. She looses things if she doesn't do this, and this usually causes her to be in a bad mood.
- Natural abilities: She can speak French fluently, and is also a gifted singer and violinst.
- Special magical abilities: She is a Metamorphmagus, but is also skilled in Transfiguration.
- Fears/Weaknesses: She doesn't swim very well, and is afraid of drowning and of enclosed spaces. Her claustrophobia is finicky, sometimes reacting and sometimes not. If she has time to prepare, she can usually calm herself down and forego a reaction.

- Quidditch member: Nope. Didn't play in School, either.
- Bio:
Aside from a rather difficult bit of history between her paternal grandparents and her mother which Saraia wasn't conscious of, her family situation was rather easy. Her father and mother provided anything she could desire, but enrolled her in Beaubaxtons instead of Hogwarts. They gave her no reason, aside from that her grandparents wanted her to go. There, she suffered exposure to French, and gained an accent and the ability to speak the language. Traces of it remain in her speech, but her accent is not significant. At Beaubaxtons, she trained to be an Auror. She recieved top marks in her studies, because she is, for the most part, a Metamorphmagus. After a few years under the employ of the Ministry of Magic, before being requested to join the Hogwarts staff. She is exceptionally skilled in Transfiguration, Charms, and Concealment. She also can cast spells mentally and is mildly good at Occulmency because of her previous training.She decided to accept Dumbledore's offer because she wanted to help prepare younger wizards while Voldemort was on the rampage. She has reserved judgement for now, but is slightly concerned that she will not convey the right material. When Dumbledore can find a suitible replacement, she will return to the Ministry.

Furthered her schooling at Salem's Advanced School of Wizardry and taught there before coming to Hogwarts to teach per Dumbledore's request. She grew up in the wealthy aristocratic crowd of England and is a pureblood. The rich life bored her growing up and she often got into mishief as much as possible. She did graduate at the top of her class with exceptionally high marks in Charms and Potions.
- Other: Is the Ancient Runes/Divination Electives Teacher at Hogwarts; is in her 2nd year of teaching. Can be eccentric at times and likes to make class interesting, but takes her work seriously. Sometimes bends the rules....Doesn't take any lip but does appreciate a good joke. Is often humorous and sarcastic, enjoying her job but making sure safety is a priority for all students.

The real Tess Zethra was kidnapped when she was on her way back to Howarts to teach for a second year. She is being held somewhere and is also being impersonated by a Vampire. [One of the three who are working on an undercover task at Hogwarts for the Dark Lord.] This Vampire wears an old Magickal medallion [made of ancient vampiric magick] around her neck that allows her to transform into any thing or person she wishes. Should the medallion come off her neck, she will transform back to her normal state. No one at the school, including Dumbledore, is aware of this impersonation.

- Likes: The rain, the thunder, and lightning. She loves the wonderfulness of sherbet ice cream, and very much dislikes anything heavy, aka chocolate. Evan has a passion for people who 'challenge' her, for she enjoys any kind of pursuit or 'investigation', and boys.
- Dislikes: People too easy for her, people who aren't persistent in work/effort, slackers, boys, dry grass that pokes her skin, people who are tan, and Russians.
- Natural abilities: The ability of a good flier and a great murderer.

- Bio: She is the descendent of a well-known wizard named, 'Lord Benjamin Oakleigh'. He was her great great grandfather, and all her earlier relatives attended Hogwarts as well. Her family inter-married each other, meaning that her father married her father's cousin. The line of the Oakleighs marry each other's cousins, and although a lot of her friends know this, she tends to keep it a secret, for she is embarassed of such intermarriages. The Sorting Hat had a hard time sorting her, and when she asked to not be put in Slytherin (mainly because she knew her parents would be displeased with the sorting) she was put into Ravenclaw, for she was a bright smart student who never slacked.
- Other: Call her 'Evan'. Face it, people. Evangeline is too long of a name to call someone. She's also a Deatheater. To her parents, she's known as a goody-two-shoes, but when it comes down to it, she loves to backstab and be pretty mean to other students. She also skipped a year in school, after transferring. Plus, her mother is a veela. (Sorry there's a bunch of random stuff here, but hey, isn't that what the 'other' stuff is for?)

During Vadania?s first year at Hogwarts her mother and father died in a car accident while they were traveling. Vadania was devastated by this accident and had nowhere else to go. So, during her holidays she would often stay at Hogwarts because she did not know of any family members who would take her in. Being a quiet child, she had a hard time making friends, but always needed to be around people. Ever since her parents died she has had this fear of being alone. During her second year her aunt wrote to her and offered to let her stay there. Vadania was delighted to be able to leave her beloved Hogwarts for a holiday. There was always a mystery behind her parent?s death. It wasn?t like them do drive recklessly as she was told. She often wonders if it was really an accident or something else.

- Bio: Grew up in the countryside of England as an only child with magical loving parents. Was born an oddity as a rare metamorphagus. Cannot recall anything before his sixth birthday. Suffered a horrible accident that left him without memory of the incident, and everything that went on before. The only clue is that he is deathly afraid of fire, and extremely uncomfortable in the presence of any sort of crucifix. Began Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw due to his thirst for knowledge and learning. Nothing extremely eventful has made him stand out in school, except for perhaps his dutiful dedication to studies and surprise nack for levitation....oh and perhaps his power as an metamorphagus.
- Other: Metamorphagus. Somewhat known, but not too well known at school as one. Smokes muggle cigerettes occasionally. Plans on pursuing his father's local trade upon graduation. Is a prefect. Was originally left handed, but after practice has become ambidextrious.

- Likes: Animals, reading, writing, drawing.
- Dislikes: Crowds, loud noises, pushy and rude people.
- Natural abilities: Jessie has a highly developed imagination, and that is shown mostly in her drawing abilities. Though she doubts her credit as an artist, Jessie is actually very good.
Special magical abilities: Jessie is especially good with Transfiguration because she has a very easy time making one thing change into something entirely different in her mind’s eye, and so can easily make the jump from fantasy to reality with her transfiguration.
- Fears/Weaknesses: Jessie is very afraid of social contact, and as such doesn’t have any friends. This is because of her very low-self confidence. But Jessie also has an irrational fear of blood. She comes close to a panic attack every time she sees even the smallest amount of it.
- Favorite/Least Favorite class: Jessie’s favorite class is Care of Magical Creatures, because she feels far more at home with animals then she does with people. Her least favorite class is Potions, because Professor Snape scares Jessie to a point where she can’t get anything at all done in that class.

- Quidditch member: No, although she does enjoy watching the game.
- Bio: Jessie has always been shy, even without her two wild older sisters. She was always the youngest and pushed aside for her more outgoing active sisters. Though her neglect was not on purpose, her parents still felt bad, so when a strange letter came explaining the Jessie was actually a witch, her parents allowed her to go to the fairly far away boarding school.
Though, by now the damage had already been done, and Jessie had developed into a timid girl, practically afraid of her own shadow. She worried constantly about going to Hogwarts and having no one like her, for she would not be able to be consoled by her family anymore. Of course they sent letters every week, but the comfort seemed so hollow to Jessie now without their looks and hugs to accompany the soft words.
She has since, made passing acquaintances, but no real friends at Hogwarts, and has kept mostly to herself and her sketch pad.
- Other: Jessie, due to her shy nature and nervousness in social situations, has developed a bit of a stutter, and has a hard time speaking loudly. Often stuttering out short, quiet answers whenever called on by a teacher or student alike, blushing heavily the whole time.

The five classes are: DADA, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, & Charms; [5] classes in total. Electives are allowed and will take place during the last period. Electives are, Muggle studies, Herbology, Arithmacy, Astronomy, Divination/Ancient Runes [combined class] & History of Magic.

arrow - If for some reason [very likely to occur] you aren't around to post when class starts, don't necessarily have your character come into class late. You may do that if you wish but consequences will obviously follow. Rather than tardiness, you may pretend that your character was in the class the entire time. Should you miss class it will be the same thing.

Scarlets dark eyes were lit up with the excitement of being in the familar and comfortable halls where the food was layed out and the Sorting happened. The Ravenclaw table contained many of the familar faces that had accompanied her throughout the years, but she only personally knew a few, finding her comfort mostly inside of the Library where she could burrow herself in the massive amounts of homework assigned to her daily by her various Professors. Among them she spotted Orianna Mancini who was a year ahead of Scarlet herself and Lorelie Boreal who happened to be the same year. Those were just two of the familar faces that had taken residence at Hogwarts this year, and she couldn't help but feel a swell of pleasure that she'd be here for at least one more year.

With slim digits she reached up brushing back the bangs, that hung to just above her eyes, as if it could truley keep them out of the way. The raven locks that she'd allowed to grow down to the little of her back hung loose and free the familar weight another welcome comfort. Her robes fit the same as always, as she'd kept them for quite sometime having not grown much since her 4th year here at Hogwarts. There was hardly any need for new robes when the old ones would do just fine.

The entire Sorting ordeal was something that she enjoyed watching, as each year it added to the number of each table, not only that but the looks on each of the faces of the first years was always amusing. It was especially amusing to think that she'd been there one day, fidgeting impatiently to be sorted only to have the hat pronouce her Ravenclaw. That had been one of the most satasfying days of her life, to know not only that she was now a part of something but that she would no longer be put to any abuse of her muggle father, as her mother and Scarlet had moved only shortly before Scarlet went to Hogwarts.

(If I do recall, we were supposed to start out in the Halls for the Feast after arriving, I think...)

Lori (Lorelie) entered the Great Hall, her eyes glittering. Not that anyone saw her eyes, since she wore dark tinted sunglasses at all times. No one liked the fact that her two eyes were different colors at first. Lori didn't want to scare the first years.
Lori stepped over several feet sticking out of the Slytherin table, mostly belonging to second years. They still hadn't learned that anything they could deal to her, she could deal right back, ten fold.
Finally, Lori reached the Ravenclaw table. The Sorting was about to begin, and Lori watched as the new Ravenclaws silently and shakily filed over to the tbale once they had been Sorted. Another 6th year was sitting next to her, an Orianna.
"I hope we have a good batch of second years this time around, for Quidditch." Lori said.
